It is so sad that people are so mean on the internet. I think it is nice we are different, it would be boring if we all was the same. When we are different we can learn from each other, try different tings. People now a days are so selfcenter, many don't care for other people just themself. For many it is importen to show of, and show how much money they have. But does it make them happy? I have a older campervan, we travel around and making memories together visit family and grandchildren. Money can't buy me happiness, but the money help me so I can create this moment I treasure. I can not do it every month, I can't afford that, but the 2 times in the year we do, it gives me so much joy. Money help me, but they don't define me. Sarah shows that in ever way, in every episode she make. She is truely a amazing woman with great care for her family. She also find happiness in the small things in life. I have really respect for her choises and the way she is. I do not know her personly, but the way she is on youtube show alot of what kind of woman she is. And I really like what I see.

I adore your little caravan. I don’t think I would ever be able to part with it. 😢 But I understand that we have to be practical too, especially if it needs to be roadworthy. Oh I’ve been there with that twist. I have cast on a garment three times and still ended up with a twist no matter how convinced I was that I had it right. 🤯 I gave up. It’s not worth the heartache. Now I usually just avoid patterns that require a large number of stitches to be joined in the round. We need to knit what brings us joy! 🤎🤎🤎

Hi ❤ so cozy your caravan is. We have a small campervan, last weekend we drove to Ørebro in Sweden. It was so cozy there, we had such a nice weekend. And I had a great roadtrip, sitting with my cup of tea knitting, while my houseband drove.

I think we have all had experiences with not being able to continue with a pattern, and i think getting that twist on your needles was the "final straw". this looks like a perfect way to recharge the batteries. i am going camping next weekend as we have a long weekend in Australia and I am so looking forward to spending time with friends in nature and getting in some stitches.
I really appreciate the transparency you show in your making - the issues with gauge and needing to step away from a test knit - something similar happened to me this past month and I felt so stressed and guilty about it but it was the right thing to do. I hope to go back to it soon.
Your Lauder vest looks lovely... I never wear vests or cables but I think I have a yarn which would knit up nicely as one. I may need to consider this pattern.

Believe it or not I have made the Sophie scarf 3 times and had to frog it every song time!!! I am planning on trying for the 4th time but I’m giving myself a break! I made a Knus Light and had so much fun! Plant based yarns typically stretch too much for me so I went with a smaller size for the neck CO and increased to my normal size during the yoke. Not sure if the sommerknus has an option for a higher neckline after the top is complete but knus light does. I will be modifying my FO because it is still a little too big by the end of the day when I wear it. Hope you find a match with your yarn!
Hi Sarah, I also had problem with getting gauge with a plant fibre yarn (cotton/bamboo). In the end I search Ravelry for a pattern that fit my gauge and the yarm. I'm still on the fence about my knitting with this yarn. My stitches are less even with it than with a wool. We'll see how it blocks. The yarn feels nice to knit with. Its very soft, I guess becasue of the bamboo.

I knitted the Sommerknus last year with Landlust Sommerseide (50% Cotton, 50% silk). Quick and easy fun-knitting and a nice result. Enjoy it!
