- The PS5 Pro continues to change minds and receive praise, but since it was only a rumor, the PS5 Pro has always been doubted, downplayed, criticized, and underestimated. I will point out in this video just how underestimated the PS5 Pro and PlayStation have been with this new hardware release.

Listen every game that comes out for PlayStation will be geared towards the Power of the PS5 Pro! Those games will be 4K at 60FPS or 4K at 120FPS.

Starts video with "wait till its out and see" then proceeds to singing high praises for it. Vokeguard is a goddamn mobile game and PC sys req prove that, what would they enhance?. Im not buying PS5 pro for 2 reasons, first, PS6 isnt far away and the second is the price, yeah... its 1000 EUR (1100 dollars) in my country (860eur console and 140eur disc drive). I hope PS5 pro is good, becouse then PS6 will be even way better. Atleast if it goes same way as ps4 pro vs PS5. Honestly on paper PS5 pro looks like everything i would ever need for gaming, but yeah.... i will wait till PS6 or if sony does something REALLY REALLY stupid by then, switch to PC. Miss them FPS Shooters.
It doesn’t explain the $700 plus dollar price range and the ps5 pro not having a disc drive though. The point is too have a physical edition & digital version instead of having one system that is all digital where digital has many problems where people’s digital media can be removed from the companies without the person knowing it, having a online connection for the games where everyone recently had no internet, having crashes from the companies servers and more.

I can afford to buy as many as i wish, but i won’t simply because Sony is going the Apple way. All the promises they are making with the pro they already did with the base PS5. We need GAMES, not another console, especially for that price tag that will become the norm thanks to Sony. Not having a disc drive is on top of that.

Just pre-order two pro for my family as i dont want to spend 4000 dollars to build two pc.
I swear on my life my ps5 has been running slower with loading the last month. About a month ago. I ran a defrag and wiped my games and redownloaded, cleaned out the ps5 and it still is slower. Asked 2 of my friends and they said there’s was running slower with load times and performance. I wonder if there isn’t some behind the scenes work being done so people upgrade. I’ve heard they do it with cell phones. Call me crazy lol.
I do believe that the Pro will have the some kind of advantage over the OG PS5 but I really don't need to buy a PS5 Pro.

And that’s fine. Not everyone needs it or should buy it. But a lot of people out there were acting as if the Pro suddenly became the Standard and they were obliged to replace their base PS5s. While also complaining about the price of what is a premium product for enthusiasts and downplaying its capabilities with ridiculous comparisons
Some people upgrade to a high end BMW with all the bells and whistles others stick with their entry level BMW different strokes for different folks just enjoy the ride
For the RDNA3 or Radeon 7000 series owners this is just a glimpse of the enhanced performance uplift when your card's AI Accelerators be doing the upscaling, so just wait for the FSR4, PSSR in Sony's PS5 Pro is showing already the version of AMD's AI upscaling...
AMDs ai upscaling isn't supported by RDNA3 thats a RDNA4 feature

the CPU "is" a bottleneck though. look at games like Dragon's Dogma 2 still running bad on the PS5 Pro because of the CPU. as far as John saying Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth looks so much better. everyone knows that that was at least partly because the base PS5 version of FF7R was so poorly optimized by Square. im not sure which video it is but Digital Foundry themselves even said that the improvements to FF7R were partly because of that very reason, poor optimization on PS5. so please quit acting like FF7R is a good example of great leaps because of the PS5 Pro's power because many games run and look much better on base PS5 than FF7R. and as far as it being in demand and the best selling console at retailers. you answered your own question as to why its stupid to even bring that up. a brand new console matched up against consoles that have been out 4 years? of course the new one will be the best seller. only a fool would think otherwise.
The cpu bottleneck was because of the developers choices. Majority of games released currently have little to no issue with the cpu to push games to 60 at some sort of upscaled resolution. The pro will be afford more grunt to improve resolution for majority of game giving they had a 60 fps mode to begin with. If wukong is 60 on regular ps5 there is no excuse for developers going forward with the pro.

Sony pushing the market to innovate or be left behind should be looked at as a good thing. The anger should be directed at Xbox and Nintendo for getting complacent.
Innovate in charging 700$ for a console that claims to do what Sony said the base PS5 would do in the first place? Btw, power isn’t innovation. You should never mention Nintendo there, especially when in fact they are only that are actually innovative in terms of hardware. Look at how they saved the handheld market and are now being followed by Valve, Lenovo and all those handheld PCs.
Nintendo is doing a lot better than Sony with game sales.

Love the fact that there are some still trying to use TH-cam grifters like Mutahar, Alex and Colt as their "reasons" for arguing against buying the PS5 Pro. The on-hand previews have proven that it's more than just a refresh; it's a leap in technology that is only going to get better in time and will lay the groundwork for PS6, which I will be getting too.
I was always fascinated by the hate TH-camrs spread about this console…like they didn’t know what that performance is like compared to the base considering these top TH-camrs are rocking top tier pc’s

I could tell it would be when they first announced the Pro and every bad faith actor thinking they’re an industry expert based off a TH-cam video. Then telling people to go out and buy an equivalent pc for double the price to play console ports plagued with UE5 shader stutter
While $700 is definitely a high price, it definitely still punches above its weight class at that price point. In 2022 i bought my current PC for a little over $800 and its around a Series S in terms of power. Granted thats not the best example because gpu prices were high at the time due to the chip shortage, but still

Four years is a long time to wait for a PS6 a lot in life can happen in that time, prices will go up tech changes digital down load will be the norm keep your old hardware and disks and save a little each month and in three or four years you'll have the money for the PS6

This is a fluff piece to me. The specs dont blow anyone out of the water. Its basically the same with AI and upscaling via overclocking. Held up side by side 90% would not be able to tell.

seriously,i bought the pro for the upgrades,kinda like im buying a better gfx card for my pc. i also took into account the price of parts these days amd the 2tb along with pssa and 4 modes of rtx over the standard 2. and plenty more. i will also sell my ps5 for 350 and put that towars the pro making it more viable.

PSSR is a beast in upscaling this is the bread and butter of those enhance TITLE. And yes It is a major leap because PSSR is going Hardware Accelerated AI upscaling versus it's old temporal upscaling that FSR3 is known for, and the result is way way better.

I promise you that the conversation was had with Cerny how can we fetch GTA6 to 60 fps. And if anyone can do it it is Sony devs helping Rockstar devs to get it there.
This console has developers truly excited. Diablo IV and Indiana Jones (eventually) having the enhancement shows even Xbox knows who buys games

I do not believe the initial reaction from hundreds of YT-ers in the first 24 hrs had nothing to do with PS5 Pro capabilities. It was about being the first to complain. They all repeated the same thing: price. Now I am sure we will see same YT-era coming with videos on how they were wrong:-) I was always planning to preorder and I did and btw it costs 850$ where I live and I do not complain.

It's not that strange, depending on how you look at it. PS4 Pro was like 30% more expensive than the regular PS4, while the PS5 Pro costs basically twice as much as the PS5 if you also add the disc drive (which is a must for me and many others).
Given how the prices of GPUs for PC have skyrocketed these last few years, it's not really weird that we're getting a larger than usual price increase, but I think many were still shocked by the magnitude of it in comparison to what we've seen on the console market before.

all i see is technical analysis on PS4 games.... as stated by DF and others that the pro will not run at 60fps like the series x does on new games unless the game is built for the PRO from the ground up. The PRO will be good for remakes and remasters and will give some performance boost on newer games as the GPU is a 6800 but the main difference will be clearer visuals and more vibrant colour and lighting due to the higher Ray Tracing capabilties ( nearest card being 4070 for RT ) ... unfortunately the 60fps needed by everyone apparently on new games will still be a struggle to maintain on the PRO without a downgrade in visual quality!!!
I thought you all wanted 60fps as anything else would be sub par... Now that we know the PRO wont hit 60fps on the majority of games on newer engines but somehow thats now ok because it Playstation doing it???
so by the time any new games that are built to take advantage of the PRO, they will be inferior to the versions on next XBOX console in 2026. If people are excited for the old games to be enhanced and you want to buy them again as well a paying 800+ for the priviledge good for you, its your money. But encouraging Sony to keep giving no value for more money is ridiculous unless you like to overspend but lets be honest, the PRO will most likely sell about 1.4 million units out of the 106 million active users.

They should of made a dedicated handheld but will end up losing ground to the Xbox handheld... it all makes sense why the PS Portal was thrown into existance... they got wind of the Xbox one and needed something... but that was a failure as sales were poor.
You should be demanding new experiences and not replaying old games at a higher cost to you due to the base PS5 underperforming!!!

@@ReforgeGaming have you not watched the full interview that DF had with Destin... not the out of context clips put on shorts or twitter feeds by Sony fanboys.
DF main 2 takes were.... GPU equivalent to a 6800 with Ray Tracing closest card to match 4070 and there is still a gap between them both mainly due to AMD being a weaker GPU for Ray Tracing.
and the other thing being that the PRO will still struggle to hit 60fps due to the CPU bottleneck where as the series x has a solid 60fps on true next generation engines...

Playstation has decreased by 7 million from 123 million active users to 116 million.
Some reports are suggesting even more of a decrease.. now add in Playstation,PC, mobile and cloud users of xbox games and you have over 500 million active users.
