I love love love Fabric Mart!! They give you enough fabric for the biggest size and the view that takes the most amount of fabric. It always translates into a ton of fabric. I've bought a ton of fabric and kits there.
100% agree Lindsey! The kits (and just the precuts) are a steal! I just got a kit to make for my granddaughter - leggings tunic and pattern for $8.40. She’s in the smallest size so the pattern will be good for YEARS and includes a dress option. I also got 3 precuts - 10 yards of dressmaking fabric for $15. That will be a dress and two blouses. A steal! I’m going to try the kits for me next - now that I’ve seen what you got. Unbelievable.
Wow! Excellent kits and value! Unfortunately I'm in the UK so don't think I can take advantage but some lovely fabrics there. Looking forward to see what you make with them. I recognise the simplicity 2774 pattern, I made it many years ago. Just to let you know I found it came out HUGE!!! Now to be fair it was when I first started sewing so it could have been me - but just thought I'd pre warn you to check finished garment sizes before cutting out 😉 x

I find these very helpful. I like the metallic, feather Robert Kauffman fabric the best! I think whatever you make in it will be lovely on you.

I purchased the Amelia dress kit to try for my first dress pattern. I did see on an Instagram post that someone had made the dress and omitted the zipper due to the fabric being cut on bias and stretching out. I haven’t looked at the pattern to see if it calls for interfacing but i would be interested to know what your thoughts on this were. Thanks for all your great videos and now I’m addicted to fabricmartfabrics.com!
I think it will determine what the skirt looks lile. I made a circular skirt once and for the life of me. No matter how I placed it, the print did funny things. Then it dawned on me, I put the piece up to the waist band and it dropped down. I Don't know if I'm making myself clear. It being circular, gave an odd appearance until it was aloud to drape downward.
I've tried to link into this kit offer with no success,no kits are showing,so could you please help,thanks. I would mix up the patterns and fabrics,if the fabrics allow. I'd make the maxi in the tie dye ,the dress with the chain in the feather ,which is absolutely gorgeous.The others I'd leave to you and enjoy the surprise when I see what you've made.Incredible offers .
I'm confused about buying fabric/pattern kits. I don't see anything on Fabric Mart's site that shows "kits" with patterns. Maybe they are out of the kits? There are so many lovely cotton prints (that don't look quilty), just wish it didn't wrinkle so much; I wish this about linen too. The cotton feather sewn on an angle will have a designer look I think; very nice.
I think Craftsy and Fabric Mart are related somehow, because I have bought many kits from both of them, and they carry the IDENTICAL ones. I bought the first kit you showed from Craftsy, it was exactly the same. I made the long sleeved maxi. I also bought the Amazing Fit dress kit, but mine came with a heavy weave linen chambray. I made the view with the sleeves and the little waist tabs. It's a great dress. I also have the last kit. O haven't made it yet, but the fabric is in my May plans. I'm going to make a dress out of it. The blouse pattern is okay, but I'm not moved to make it.

I just checked a pattern review on the Amelia dress by Green Bee patterns... most of the comments were positive except for the size issue. The pattern reviewers listed it as fitting small. Then I googled just the pattern and on all the views, there is one dress made from the same metallic feather fabric and it is fabulous. Also lots with the feather design. I think this pattern is in my future. Are the kits from Fabric Mart available to members only?
That pulled it up. I typed in Fabric kits, kits and pre cut kits and did not find it. However, when I went to the 60% tab I found it right away. Thanks for the suggestion. I even emailed them to inquire about how to search so your comment is extremely helpful.

looks like they don't currently have any kits. I made the Amelia dress but didn't like the way it looked on me. I like a more fitted bodice and a fuller skirt. I have an hour glass shape but with small hips and this dress made me look wide. I donated it . It uses alot alot of fabric. For what it is. I think you would be better off picking a tried and true pattern. Just my two cents worth of course....
