- Lily and Holden question Ameera about the roadside attack, asking whether Col. Mayer used her to lure Luke and Noah. Noah is released from the hospital. Ameera tells Luke, Noah, and Faith that her visa is expiring and she will have to go back to Iraq. Faith says she can stay on a study visa; Holden offers to help with tuition and have Lucinda pull some strings. Excited about their plan, Luke, Noah, Ameera, and Faith leave for a hayride.

Luke and Noah (Van and Jake) have such a unique chemistry!!
They're so in love with each other and there's so much that they've already been through together, but at the same time they are doing everything to share their happiness with others. That is true love!!!
And, unlike every other couple in this sordid town, they remain faithful to each other......regardless of who is trying to prey on them.

Lily and Holden did get their abruptly fast to save Luke, Noah, and Amira. I keep realizing this is TV.
Oakdale is strategically located near every city around the world and its streets are the shortest known by men.
I think, when Luke's parents got out of the house, Luke, Amira and Noah were sleeping... By the time they were waking up, they were already on the way...
Ameera: Why are you asking me these questions.
Hmmm. Maybe because you mysteriously appeared on their doorstep, knew deep family secrets, took a room in their house and instantly started drama.
On the serious, though, it's a tad ridic how Lily and Holden are constantly jumping to extreme conclusions like that.

Noah must be at least 18. So why does he not sign his own discharge papers. Holden and Lily are not his parents or guardians.
lol i had my mute on in the beginning and so i turned up the volume right at the "Luke and Noah will be sore for a few days" and I was like "OMG DID I MISS A PART?!"

Ok... I totally wish I had an older brother like Luke. He's like the best big brother ever. So nice and caring and funny, and everything. My brother just kinda like to beat me up.
They were raised to be tolerant so they don't think that way. He was showing that there are some people who aren't nice and tolerant. I love Faith though, she's so awesome about everything!
The fact this is from 2007 but until nowadays there's a lot of lukes and noahs getting beat up due to their sexualities.... It's sad.
To those who are saying that Noah will marry Ameera so she can stay... There ARE laws that are in place that are meant to prevent such things, designed to make certain that two people aren't marrying JUST so that one can stay in America. While rules about student visas can be bent, as suggested in the episode, laws are a different matter.
I feel bad about Ameera, but, I used to feel bad about Chloe too, so i'm not very good at judge people.

hello all nuke fans i have just read on cbs website that a lot of fans are not happy about the lack of kisses and affection shown between luke and noah. and that their story havent progress enough, and there have even been a petition to cbs, and that its been agreed that its about time our fans are given what we want. just keep up the hope it wont be long now. oh that will be perfect. i love them so much. i cant wait.
i have to say that the point was to help her be aware of prejudice and realize that not everyone is as accepting plus to emphasize how wrong their actions were, no reason to waterdown anything, the kid is old enough to understand.
yeah he'd be great. My brother... well, let me put it this way. I came home from hospital after being there for seven hours with the world biggest leg brace and crutches, and he was too distracted by the commercials on TV to even ask me if I was okay. A little sympathy would be nice bro!
I agree with you completely. The character might have been even SLIGHTLY more believeable if they'd just given her a decent accent or something.
Apparently, people can live in certain countries all their lives and yet still not pick up the accent..
I don't think people hate Ameera because she's Iraqui, I think they hate her because she's a GIRL getting in the way of our BOYS. That's why I hate her. Okay, strongly dislike. If they had kept her as a friend character no one would have a problem with it. But all of the sudden she's Noah's wife and has feelings for him, and later on it's like he loves her more than Luke. So dumb.

I apologize to the writers. Lily is on to Ameera first and Noah may not end up marrying her. I like that they talked about hate and violence. Take that, WalMart/P&G shopping bible-belters!

my prediction: so they are going to try to get ameera to stay in america with an education visa, and things are going to start to look good and then a twist. somehow that plan goes down the gutter and then the only other way for ameera to stay in the US is the other stand by writers use with immigration conflicts. ameera is going to have to marry an american to stay, and we can only guess who its going to be, noah, causing further strain on luke and noah's relationship. haha i think im right.
obviously the snyders arent strangers to the cops or to the hospital..
I personally think that both are as good as the other - then again, I have not been watching it for a long as everyone else has, so... The first Lilly I saw was the ... new one, I think, but I don't mind watching either. I do understand what you mean, though. :)

Would someone please message me when the Ameera story is over? Honestly, it took Noah MONTHS to finally get together with Luke, but it took five minutes for him to ask Ameera to move in. What the hell?

Ameera is such a nonsense character...she's from Iraq, speaks with a perfect accent, for a second she's so shocked about some normal behaviors and right after that she does really behave like it was completely normal (for example the 'walk always back and far from men' and then just going straight even before him rushing for a shop window...So dumb
Seriously, they should have kept her as the sister character. Not as a weird fake love interest type thing for Noah. The writers really went into a dumb direction with her.

Well I wouldn't beat up someone that loves someone of the same sex or whatever. Because that's a stupid reason to beat up someone because of that.
your forgetting "soap opera" time. a baby could be born on day and by next season its already a small child. in 3 seasons its a teenager in high school lol

Holden and Lily may have their issues, but I still think they're really great parents.

Faith needs more scenes!
i understand that the soaps need drama, but none of the other couples have needed someone from another country to come to create drama. nuke can have jealousy, bullying, sickness, fights, fires, crashes, drugs, family etc to create drama in the relationship...not a bad acting girl...
This storyline is.. not very well developed.. and i can't tell if ameera is sketchy in nature or just portrayed by a bad actress. I've only started watching because I just heard about this storyline. I don't mind so much that they don't kiss or have sex too much, shows the purity and no need to rush too fast in doing physical things.
I must say though that Luke/Van really does look a lot like a blonde mix between John Mayer/Adam Brody. Even sounds like Adam Brody sometimes..
Of course finding out they were gay helped, so really... yeah. It could be argued that it was a gay bashing. Either way it was a hate crime - they hated Luke and Noah cos they're gay, they hated Ameera cos she's Iraqi/Muslim.

Wow is it me or is there a bit of xenophobia on this thread. I work hard and take out loans to go to school, but I wouldn't trade my life with an Iraqi refugee/displaced person for free tuition. Lily and Holden are rich if they want to help her kudos to them.
And no, none of the stuff on this show happens everyday thats why its a soap opera.
Whether it started as a hate crime it turned into one. And how about the hate they exhibited towards Ameera.

Ugh! I am so frustrated! Did you know some people are so hypocritical that while they will gladly watch straight people make out, the moment two guys or girls kiss they start shouting things like immoral and repulsive! How byist are they!? 'Not good for families' Ah of course not! Tolerence of gay life should NEVER be allowed right? But straight making out and more is!?!?!?!? OooO! Our boys were hot today though!
