Yesterday I was using my Yamatanuki (similar profile) weight-less with 4/0 ewg and noticed it would walk like a dog when swam at the surface. I instantly switched up to this technique on top water and caught two bass in two casts.
I have been smoking them with the spin nuts. I have been walking it for a little bit then kill it and let it shimmy down to the bottom and repeat. After you kill it and let it sink down the second you start to twitch it again they crush it. Awesome bait I can’t wait for the larger sizes
@@thehookuptackle_usamy secret is to use it with a ryugi hover shot and insert the hook deep enough to make the Spinnut curve like a banana. I called it the banana nut rig lol. Makes walking consistently easy for me. Then there’s also letting it sink to bottom, lift while twitching fast, and repeat. Reminds me of a clam swimming. Also I might’ve missed it but I’m surprised you didn’t touch on how it sways side to side while it’s sinking. At least it does when I used it with the hover shot.
Kon'nichiwa T-san and Ben-san. Great looking lure, wonder how long before Berkley rips them off.😡 Put them in a bush and twitch it. 😂🤣 Just want to clarify the hook placement. Is he saying that the hook eye should be just below the center and tucked just a bit? Also, the lighter color is facing the surface on this bait? In this case, the pink is on the top, I always thought the lighter color faced down. Thanks for the video, got to try these.
Are you sure your not talking about the Phantom Phish Stik? I don’t remember Heddon making a soft plastic. I still have a stock of Phish Stiks. Phantom made a killer worm also. They went out of business years ago.
@@mikecamalier2653 yes the Phantom Phish Stik (that’s the correct spelling also) I still have a few bags of them. Killer bait. I used to guide and used them all the time. Yum made a bad copy of it but it was too fat and was harder the hook the bass. The Phish Stik would bend more easily in the center and hook ups were no problem.
SPINNUTS - What a great name for a band of fishermen/sport fishermen or women duelling it on the water. You didn't mention how it's made & what material used & weight. It looks awesomely simple & yet deadly. More detail review please when you're back in the shop.? Cheers guys from Australia.
Favorite part of the Spinnuts is the little peanut guy on the packaging 😂 excited to try them out at my local waters 👍🔥
Awesome stuff, I would watch you two discuss bait designs every week. I just ordered some..
Need the 65 and 80 sizes! Love the 50 so far

Great feedback - thank you!
Perfect example of how to innovate, not copy cat. 👍
I would love to see one of your very detailed videos on how to rig and fish the spin nut and the cover scat.
What power and action rod would you recommend for this bait?
I’m thinking this is going to be a great bait for skipping docks and fishing shallow brush piles. Can’t wait to try it!
For sure!
That looks awesome!
Gonna definitely grab some
Thank you for watching!

Hook should be slightly lower than center
I catch so much fish with this bait
🏆🍻
That bait would be cool if it had a more fishy shaped tail.
You need 2 dice rubbers to go with one spinnut. Think about it.
🤣👊🍻
Can we get a shirt with the peanut guy?? PLEASE
The mascot is amazing
Every time I pull out a cover scat everyone’s like wtf is that.. can’t wait to try this! #JDMGANG
Looks a lot like a cover scat.
Chances we see the Berkeley NutSpin win best of show at icast 2024?? 🙄🙄
A long time ago Zara spook made soft plastic like that. Bassmd

The bait you put a 4or5 Ewg hook in it was soft. Bassmd

Berkley already has the name for their KO suck nut
I give it 6 months and someone's gonna rip them off.
It already is a knock off. Stupid lame baits these days.
