OK, I made it here: so, how do I get my extra points sent to me? I really enjoyed this discussion. I find that I have fallen into voting the party line rather than having to research all the candidates. Voting for judges is always the most difficult because they are all lawyers and are extremely skilled liars.
DCH Lakewood when it comes to judges the one thing I always do is vote no for all the women..... I know I know.... what a horrible misogynistic thing to say, but let me explain why I feel this way...... I don't hate women, I love them a lot and have had lots of female friends over the years and more of them than I can remember have said themselves that women shouldn't be judges or cops, they have less control of their moods and emotions than men due to their cycle.... it's bad enough working under a power hungry self righteous woman but that's the private sector.... we have no control over that, but in the public sector I WILL NOT vote for a female in the judicial system.
Why didn't the argument go the other direction? Instead of lowering the voting age, why wasn't the draft age raised to 20/21? If an 18 yr old was too young to vote, then he's too young to be sent to war without his consent.
Because 18 year olds are convinced they can actually take that bunker, hold that hill, and outfight their enemy. My question remains: why isn't the draft a violation of the 13th Amendment?
I disagree. Just because you are old enough to be given a gun and told kill our enemies does not mean you are mature enough to vote and exercise political force.

@@DonaldSFrazier I don't know. It is a violation. But, it is not as if this country has not ignored the Constitution before.

voting and political force is two different things? I'm old enough to vote, but that doesn't mean I should run for office.
@@robfab5204 correct you can be old enough to vote but not for running for office for example the age to become president is 45
