I have a 'Moorpark' apricot in one of my greenhouses, it was planted almost 2 years ago. I pruned it in spring and it has thrown out multiple shoots where I cut back, so hopefully I might get some fruit next year. Apricots seem to take a few years to start fruiting?
They do take a while to start. They fruit primarily on two year old and older wood, though they can also crop at the base of one year old wood (rather like sweet cherries). I wouldn't be surprised if it started to crop next season 👍
Your videos are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
You are definitely the best fruit pruning teacher on TH-cam!
Thank you :)
