I love how you can tell how good the food is from Mark's reaction. If he tilts his head to the side and smiles you know is REALLY good. If he just nods, it was just good.
Mark I'm late to the game here. But when I was 7-8 yo my mom took me there and I still remember how good the food is. Now 51 years later living in another country, I can't believe it's still there. They make the best Khao Mok Gai. Thanks for sharing.
Thank’s for the adress Marc!!! I just finish my dishes, the goat was one of the best i have ever eat, and the mint sauce... PFOOOOOUA! Sorry for my english language, and lot of thanks for sharing you passion of food. Wish you the best 😉
I finally finished watching your Bangkok series. (I started watching in 2015 and then I got busy, and eventually lazy. lol) And I wanted to say that I really LOVE your videos :D
so amazing Mark and Ying , thank you both for this video. It really did make me feel like i was on the long boat tour with you both. The whole video made me feel like i was there.
Eating Pad Thai served on a plate with a pair of chopsticks instead of the usual fork and spoon! You’ve just dispelled this age-long etiquette with aplomb, good on you Mr Wiens! When it comes to noodles of any kind, soup or dry, chopsticks are godsend.
mark I love your videos! I've been living on guam for 2 years and I took your advice on what to do in tokyo video, did everything you mentioned! I'm going to Thailand this summer and im hoping to do the same in 3 weeks! you are the best travel guide!!!
I feel the need to apologize. a few weeks ago I wrote something along the lines of I didn't like your delicious face because it seemed ingenuine. I was wrong. 100% wrong. I have been watching your videos constantly for the past few days. I have always found your comentary wonderful and calming and informative. now I see how genuine your face is when you are enjoying something. I can see the subtle differences in when something is really good and just okay.
Elizabeth Marie you apologized and very heartfelt and Mark is truly a gem. I'm so addicted to their journey and culture to great foods. I cannot afford to travel but he takes me to many places and the textures of Different foods is amazing and Enjoy it alot.❤
I loved this series! I've really enjoyed waking up in the morning to watch a new video. I'm sad it's dond, but the experience was awesome. I really hope to visit Thailand one day. Thank you for making these videos, and I'm excited to see where you two go next 😁
Mark and Ying thank you for letting us travel with you. The Artist house is in my neighborhood just 5 minutes from my home. I go there once or twice a week when I'm in Bangkok. Just sit there and looking at the people and the boats and feeding the fish. My best Pad Thai was in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi. Every time I'm in Thailand I go there once or twice.
Only just found your videos and i've managed to watch about 50 of them in a week hahaha, been too Thailand a few times and already booked again in march next year, amazing videos so passionate about food which is amazing too see, the food is a massive part of my holiday and all the different types you show are so helpful to me as i'm only a beginner when it comes to Thai food, great work Mark thank you!!!!!

To know there are halal restos in Thailand that are recommended by Mark is total gem. So happy that there are fabulous dishes i can try there in Thailand. Good job, Mark & Ying. Kudos!

Greetings from South Africa. I love this video, especially the HD quality. I too married a Thai and we are coming to Thailand in December so going to check out some of the locations you have been to. going to be staying in Ayutthaya and Bangkok.
Hi, Mark. I've been to almost every places in this video. At the church and Kudeejeen is an old Thai-Protuguese commutity. And I think the one who invent that cake is Marie De Guyomar back in 1700s.
Hello Mark and Ying! Another beautiful day in Bangkok. All the dishes looked very tasty. The goat has made me very hungry. Pad Thai is a delicious dish. Simple but very tasty. That was again a great video. I look forward to the next Video.
About wandering around minor sois - yup, I really enjoy this as well. Quite easy to do these days, too, with an Android phone and Google Maps so you know which way to go, even though sometimes you do end up a blind alley. Once I walked all the way from Bobae Market to Siam Paragon through the neighborhoods. Right behind Bobae Market you'll find two or three alleys that come to a stop - right by railroad tracks! There's two or three restaurants set up right next to the tracks, even a juke box sitting by itself under a roof. And someone actually set up a picnic table in BETWEEN the tracks (seems to be some sort of marshalling yard, look it up on the map). The locals would cross the tracks anytime they wanted to. I did likewise (you just have to keep an eye out for the trains, which do come by now and then! And come to a stop right in your way!) and found myself in a maze of back-alleys among tall buildings on the other side. A little further was the sort of neighborhood you saw in the video - small houses behind walls, small alleyways, small provision stores here and there. The alleys are fairly quiet other than the occasional motorbike that comes through now and then. --Iskandar
I laughing 😂 when Mark eat the food and leaned on haha is really make everybody's hungry 😂 the way how he ate the food my gosh make me hungry😂, Mark and ying guy keep posting new video, god bless you both🙏

Wow I think this is my favourite episode in this series. I never knew Portuguese had settlements in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand. We have a Portuguese settlement in Malacca too. Next time I’m in Bangkok I’d be sure to have walking trip around that neighbourhood.
Wow didn’t know Mark covered this place. I accidently came across the Muslim restaurant about 7 years ago whilst walking and exploring Bangkok from Saphan Taksin to Sala Daeng (near Patpong). Couldn’t ask for more.. delicious Halal beryani, in the middle of Bangkok. Will be back exploring Bangkok soon!
mark, your channel is the only one that I watch almost daily. thank you for these videos! !!
Love your enthusiasm about each meal. And love the chew chew and then lean to the side with a smile.
I love how you can tell how good the food is from Mark's reaction. If he tilts his head to the side and smiles you know is REALLY good. If he just nods, it was just good.
