I swear this band is gonna blow up... I can't be the only one who is completly obsessed with there music. When I bought Teen Dream , After I listened to it I instantly made 2 copies and put the original in a safe place. It reminded me of listening to the White Album for the first time.

this is even better than the album version. how can this be. incredible voice and just such a catchy tune, can listen to it over and over and over and over and over again and not get bored of it in the slightest. bassline is ridiculously good.

some may disagree but they need more mainstream exposure. i saw a video of them on muchmoremusic in Canada (props to them). the world is a better place when quality music from the heart and true unfiltered creation enters our lives. simple but effective song writing with addictive, catchy but intelligent rhythms. that's why I want more people to know about Beach House.
I was19 when this album came out. I had discovered them just a year before Teen Dream came out. I was so I love with Devotion. Yet Teen Dream still seems to be the album I tend to revisit the most. This truly was the soundtrack to the majority of my nights in college.
I think bloom is just awesome too!
After listening to their albums one after another, over and over, I think every album, every song is awesome and I can't get enough of it!

i saw them at night one of an outdoor concert opening for vampire weekend, I was blown away by them, that I came back the second night and peeked over the fence for their set, just to see them again. then left. I was into them prior to seeing them, but the live stuff solidified them as the real deal, such beautiful music.

@gmpm - Dude I completely agree. It disturbs me when fans of bands don't want them to become a little more mainstream. Hopefully, if this were to happen, a precedent would be set for good music to finally start coming out of the mainstream again. I will admit it, Beach House has literally made me cry from the beauty of their music. It's a true shame that most music today doesn't have this effect on its listeners.
Being mainstream comes with a price sometimes a lot of mainstream artistry ends up becoming comoditized the meaning and purpose behind their music becomes less important and more about what the public wants and creative directions can be taken from their hands. It's because of how beautiful their music is that the fans don't want it to be lossed whether we want to admit it or not that becomes a risk when going mainstream.
@StarPowa57 You got it all twisted!! If the musician fails to move the listener, then it's the LISTENER'S problem. The listener can simply choose to move on and find something that they like, or they can bitch about it. Either way, the said musician will happily continue on pleasing other listeners. That simple.

@XxEmoLuvIsShortxX Hmmm...interesting that he didn't use base pedals at the performance where you saw them. Maybe they had an actual bass guitarist for that particular show? Either way, you're definitely right as far as artists having their own unique and particular ways of moving about on stage.. If you'd like, check out their performance on The Infterface at Spinner.com, you'll see what I mean abount him playing the base pedals though, and he was also wearing socks..

Actually, the reason he is sitting in a chair and bouncing around so much is because he is playing the base notes on a foot pedal board while he is playing the guitar. I saw him doing that on a different video of the same song.
And here..... Here I thought it was mostly the guy singing before I watched the live performance. My god, that explains a hell-of-a-lot ! Like who can come up with that? She can.... ☺

I went to a show of theirs in April and it was $55 when they first went on sale but the price increased with demand

@StarPowa57 Actually, it really is the listener's problem, and especially if it's someone like you who thinks every piece of music you come across is supposed to inspire you. Have you ever thought that bands may not release music solely for your benefit? Hmmm...think about that one.
And if you were musically inclined (like you think you are), then you'd appreciate this for what it is & simply walk away. I don't like Slipknot, but whatever. It's all music and it's all subjective.
