She seems like a real Humble and Down To Earth Woman who clearly loves her job and her animals. I hope she continues to do well at her job :-)
Dream job, to be honest. To be alone in the most beautiful landscape on this Earth, to ride your horse, have a smart loyal dog, sound o birds and, yes, storms all to yourself :D Never seen that kind of a fire-finder map before, though.
I would love to do this even for just a Summer. Seems like it would be an introvert's paradise. Also, I love to watch lightning storms, that sounded really cool!
We found delila after firewatch
That’s what I thought
Lol was just thinking the same. Good shout mate. Oh and her husband also same job has to be.
😂😂😂
god why didnt anyone tell me about this job before college this seems way cooler than being a teacher
There are so many different jobs in this world. It's really fascinating to see and learn about it
I’ve seen videos about fire spotters in Montana for whom it was a summer job after working as a teacher. You can do both!
That just might be the best job ever! Wow.
Only if you love nature very peacefull
After she passes, Im not taking this job
If you enjoy nature and solitude, getting one of these jobs is like winning the lottery!
Wow! She seems like the perfect person for this job. I assume this is only for the summer. Never saw a lookout that also has a separate cabin ( and a coral for horses ). So it's like she has two cabins.
I am very proud of you, keep up the great work you do ….
Salute you gracious lady! I work on MT Bonaparte LO on the Okanagan Natl Forest. I have a deep wilderness background. This is my 2nd season on LO 2020.
Hello fellow,
I have been interested in being a fire lookout for a season for two years now, but am struggling finding who to contact....any advise?
I would love to have a job like this, don't think that there are any many fire lookouts left in Minnesota
Oh yea this is one of the better fire watch stations I’ve ever seen, I’d bet she does this till she dies, I don’t blame her, hell most of the fire watches do it till they die, but the ones I’ve seen is only the look out there is a bed up there and all the tools you need to do your job and a stove just basic necessities.. and she has her own separate cabin with a shower, that is real nice when spending 3 months in the mountains. Did they do that because it’s dangerous to be up there during a thunderstorm?
I need this job
Literally my ideal job
This is so cool and a Thumbs Up for you also.
Would do this 24/7 honestly but the problem is I am from Poland and diabetic I just love the idea that I just am in a tower looking at potential fires reading books and not having to interact with people face to face
peace be with you
Wonder if these fire lookouts see a lot of strange things out and about in the forests.
have you been playing firewatch?
Like a smiling lady?
@@alm1261 No, but I know of it.
@@captainoctonion9045 i just finished this creepypasta and came straight to this video

How can I get a job like this? Seriously. I’d pack up my stuff and trade my current life for this one
73s from KD7CKT Flagstaff
I want to do this.
I have built and maintained WA State fire lookout towers since 1983 for WA State Department of Natural Resources. One fire lookout towers built 40 years ago, 10 years later I was the Construction and Maintenance Superintendent for Engineering Division. I assessed what needs were for maintenance. I also worked 30 years on wildfires!! I have been experienced in many qualifications!!
And there’s no ned right? I don’t need him creeping on me agin
Would this be an alternative to if you can’t afford to purchase land? 😅
Is there a specific job title for this at the federal level or does it fall under the Forestry Technician series?
Just google fire lookout jobs in your area ;)
she sounds like delilah from firewatch
I love her 😭
I'll never find such a life partner in my generation to grow old with. I'll only be someone's 100th choice on a dating app.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗😇😇😇
Where do i sign up
Would have loved to have worked in a firetower. However with GPS and satellite surveillance there's not much call for them anymore.

This one wouldn’t be so bad, you wouldn’t have nearly as many people try and walk thru your front door. Lol
What about bigfoot’s??? Or is that hush hush???
If you could get internet then it would be the best job for me
im pretty sure some of them do have internet bc i watched a guy that said he had internet, however it is probably pretty weak

This would be better without the music.
How do they feel about weed? I'd love to do this job and just sit there and look at the view smoking Doobies the whole time.
If it's one of those "alert" strains, why not? If it's one of those "veg out" strains, then no. So they'll probably err on the side of no.
Of the fire watch is in Oregon, Washington, Colorado or even Cali with a doc note, should not be a problem cuz it's completely decriminalized 😈😎😇
Can someone go do this for real? I'm a nature loving fitness expert who thrives by myself and have literally grew up camping at the Albert's mountain abandon fire watchtower all my life. Someone please hire me! 😈😎😇
This ain't like the YT Horror stories about that job.
I would SSSOOOOO "get naked" in a place like this and stay that way until anyone who visits me tells me to get dressed because they REALLY DON'T want to see me nude at all or anymore if they intend on staying for a while themselves.
I would SSSSSOOOOOOO...........GET NAKED, NAKED, NAKED......in a place like this.
Luis Lloyd you can say that again
