From my front door and all the rooms at the front of my house, I have a totally unobstructed view of Pendle Hill!
It’s wonderful, and lovely to see whenever I leave the house, no matter what season even it if it’s covered in clouds!
I have climbed it twice, by two different routes, the steps are the toughest, I thought I was going to die and I was an experience long distance fell walker! Worth it when you get to the top. I’m looking forward to watching this episode as it right in my front garden and the story is very well known.

Can’t believe someone carried up a pumpkin. I have been up Pendle 😊hill many times but didn’t know about the water source. Makes a change to have no wind and rain. My dog would have wrecked the place if I took him. Well done for sticking it out all night.
Strangest think I ever saw at the top of Pendle was a family, whose pet cat had followed them all the way up!
My kitty used to walk with my dog and I bet he would have gone to the top given half a chance!
Pendle's not far from me, i can also see Ingleborough on a clear day !

I discovered your channel around four months ago! I think it was recommended to me from Paul Messner.After watching one which I throughly enjoyed I instantly subscribed! I have now watched every single video you have made so far and never become bored.Such great ,informative content.Fendi is such a character.and so adorable.I am amazed at the speed she can travel for her little legs ,bless her.I swear she can run as fast as my 15 month old Whippet and they can get up to 35 miles per hour 😂.The sheer love you have for one another never fails to be seen.You have her so very well trained.I truly hope that you both have many,many more years fun outdoors together!
After watching this video with Kurtis included I have now gone and watched his new channel.Spruce on the loose.He did amazingly well and think he will go far.

hey Gaz, camping is great just love it. and even its better when things go to plan, and theirs nothing worse than rain and wind when setting up or packing up! and the cold doesn't help either lol! i was in Scotland in the highlands traveling to john a groats me and my mate, we decided camp the night in the middle of no where in the highlands lol as we was driving for hours, and all was great till the early morning about 2am and we had mental rain and 80mph winds that come from no where! and its insane how fast the weather changes in the highlands! it ripped my tent to bits! had to get our stuff in a rush and get to the car asap! and that was the best experience ever 🤣🤣 the tent was a cheap amazon tent no way could take weather like that! i ended up throwing that in the trash lol. got a much better tent now thats brilliant in the wind a GEERTOP 4 seasons, holds up to the winds even better with good pegs i purchased separately.

Just a bit further along is a great flat area but that's good there too. You get phone signal there but few paces along it's gone. The wind just disappears up there and it's a very calm night. The route you took up is the easy route and them steps would ruin you with a full pack on!

With all due respect to you Gaz, Pendle Hill itself is not haunted. I was born and bred in the area during the 60s and used Pendle and the area around it as my backyard. I used to wander alone all over the place, which is where I instilled my love for solitary wandering in the countryside. With that said, there are places close to Pendle Hill which hold a different resonance and provide a melancholic ambience which can sometimes be felt like a dread. However, the hill itself holds no terror.
Close to Barley, at the foot of Pendle, there are two woodlands, one to the east of Barley, Aitken Wood, and the other to the west of Barley called Fell Wood. Of the two woodlands I would say Fell Wood carries the spookier ambience. I've walked through it many times and I have always felt as if I was being watched. I've never seen anything, but the feeling of being followed by 'something', some 'shadow', is quite strong. In Fell Wood, always stick to the path, and don't find yourself in there at night.
Aitken Wood is a pleasant walk from Barley, pass the two reservoirs and then a short, but steep climb to the top. Inside the wood, scattered around are various sculptures, which when visited as a family, you can set the children to task to find. Aitken Wood also carries an ambience of otherworldly, but not as bad as Fell Wood. There are areas of the woodland that one may feel a little claustrophobia, especially when the wind moves through the dense trees up around the Unicorn figure.
One further place of note, near Foulridge, is Alkincoats at the top of Colne. This small area really does have a 'feel' to it, even on warm sunny days. It's a small wooded area, ad leads down to Lake Burwains and Hobstones Farm. Research what you can about the supernatural attack at Hobstones Farm in 1974.
I just talk about what I read about history & folklore. Maybe I'll go camping in fell wood 👻

I'm loving this one! Spookier the better! I've been up Pendle Hill at night to find the plane crash site from WW2. The weather was rank, blowing a gale, pissing down and foggy. It was creepy as hell up there. Slipped and fell on my arse in the mud on the way back down and spent the rest of the night ghost hunting at the Pendle Hotel. I'm also from Halifax (Sowerby Bridge) and swear I know your face, possibly from one of the boozers I've worked in over the years 😁
