      It's based on Focke Wulf 190 "Gahebel" knob, with the "Drehzahl" rocker switch for control propeller pitch (increase, decrease).

    Looking forward to seeing how these mount together. The Aussie shop rep also mentioned that there are JST to JST cables that are meant for connecting modules that are side-by-side, fully internal and not visible on the outside. Is this true?

    Looking at the THQ's connectable handle, and realizing the gap on either side of the central throttle "socket" is the same size as the gap on the outward-facing side of the other throttle socket...can you get two of these, attach them side-by-side, and connect the left THQ's right throttle to the right THQ's left throttle?!
    I don't know enough about flight sims to know why someone might want to do that, but it looks *so plausible!*
    Similarly, could there be a "dummy throttle" module that lets you use all three axes with the double handle by putting a 4th pivot on either side? So many possibilities...

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Not only that, but if you attach 2 THQ modules side by side you could connect the 2 adjacent throttles :)

    Help me out, please: I think of buying the SEM, but to use with my only VKB NXT Premium (left) apart from each other (the keyboard in-between). How should I connect the SEM to the stick? Does it come with a USB-C to USB-C 40cm cable and both devices have such connector?

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The modules could work independently, if you upgrade them with a GNX HID controller. Soon we'll also offer the possibility to have them working together with a Black Box too.

    Will we be able to use longer-length USB-C cables of our choice other than this? Current cable is too short IMO. Can you release a USB-C cable for Gladiator NXT too?
    You've inadvertently relieved recent MacBook Pros that don't have USB-A ports, which currently need a dongle/hub to use most flight sim peripherals. It will be very interesting to use the Gladiator NXT and the other modules (+TECS) on the new 14-inch and 16-inch ones via the Thunderbolt 4 ports while playing IL-2/DCS in CrossOver/Parallels.

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cables in the video are only BUS cables, for inter-connecting modules. The USB cable is a Type-C to Type-A cable and it's of regular length.

    It looks to me that the axis arms/knobs are not indexed in any way. Meaning that you can mount that in development WWII grip handle on top either way left or right? I have hope it can. Lefty players never had a professionally available HOTAS throttle before this if its true.

    how long is the JST to JST cable that comes with the modules if your wanting to daisy chain them (ofc within the 8 axes limits of the USB controller) and are there plans to sell the GNX USB controller with the modules as an "optional order" instead of buying it separately (just in case if people dont want to open stuff up and prefer USB output for every device) also will there be options to have JST to USB Form Factor A instead of Type C if your wanting it to connect to the PC as its own device or to a USB A hub? Type C is basically redundant here as its only 2.0 capable the USB controller and having to buy an adapter would be more than annoying

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The JST to JST BUS cable is long enough to interconnect the modules. There is also a JST to Type C cable, but just for interconnecting the modules and not for plugging it to USB. The only cable to connect the module(s) to computer is a Type C to Type A USB cable, which comes together with GNX HID controller.
      The GNX HID controller will come as a spare part and it's easy to install: remove 5 screws, take out the back cover, remove 2 screws, swap boards, put back the back cover.
      We'll have some videos up soon to illustrate the procedure.

      The THQ is a released product, so I really don't get your first part of the comment. TECS is still under works for various reasons, some of them well known - COVID and global chip shortage. Can't neither fight with that nor cut corners to overcome it.

    You removed the side throttle and button from the gladiator for this??

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all, the Gladiator NXT is an upgrade; the Gladiator MKII has been great, but it was time for something new. Second, there are 33 buttons on the Gladiator NXT compared to 21 on the MKII, plus the mini-throttle (which is not on the side anymore, but in the middle). And third, what's the point of this 2 question marks question here, on a module video presentation?

    • @braacz
      @braacz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VKBSim you are right and I'm sorry. Initially i thought this was a downgrade of the joy to add modules but i read some more about it and i see its use for some people. Maybe these small modules are not for me as im looking for a general mid range hotas above the saiteks as im not flying il2 or GA anymore, but i know you're working on that too.
      But i cant emphasize enough that the mid range gladiator is the best thing that happened to the market for a long time.

    • @VKBSim
      @VKBSim  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you got only the THQ module, there is no USB cable included, as the THQ can't work independently as a USB device; it has to either get attached to another module, a Gladiator, or upgraded with a GNX HID Controller. For more info please visit our Discord server discord.gg/UJAdpdHpYm

      You're not supposed to use the USB-C to connect these to a computer anyway, it's only used for module to module connections. The USB HID upgrade comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable, you'd use that to connect to a PC.
