  • When it comes to sex, we need to get back to the basics and clear up some miscommunications. That all starts with understanding that sex is not the world’s idea, it’s God’s idea. Knowing that, we can trust the Designer and pursue purity with confidence. __

I liked how you explained it as a heart issue and not a physical issue, that explains why feeding an addiction makes it grow

Hi I want to ask to the Porch Live with all respect regarding marriage misunderstandings.
If marriage is not an outlet to satisfy sexual urges (not lust) then what is the point of getting marry??
    what is the purpose??
If I say is to become like Christ then singleness is the best way to be like Christ.
And if I say is to form a family the Bible states the single can rejoice more even having no kids of her own.
If I say is to pursue purity then singleness forever will assure me purity forever and instead of pursuing marriage it will be better to pursue mutilation.
so I don't see the point of marriage if is not to satisfy sexual urges.

This is a great question. Thanks for asking. Here are two blog posts written by Jonathan Pokluda outlining the purpose and benefits of marriage and singleness. If you have any other questions, here is our blog: www.theporch.live/blogs
