Can you help me? From italy I would love to move in Russia but i dont understand..with tourist visa i can stay rhere only 30 days.. others visa i dont have a job there or people there..and not studying there.. what can i do?
Hey Igor! I am traveling in 3 weeks and am very confused on how to get money into Russia :D I am from Germany and am crossing by Bus from Tallinn to SPb. People say that it is best to change Euros in Russia, many people report problems with USD. Now the Estonian government and sanctions say I cannot bring Euros to Russia via the border. From 8. August they switched to full border control, so every person is searched and has to tell the border police why they have Euros. What do you recommend?
Hey its recommended to change euros in narva or elsewhere before crossing, youre officially sllowed to take 60euros in euro currency. Dollars are okay. (There is huge possibility that the line will take freq hours time in narva side so yiu have time to go to nearing street with exchange offices (yiu can see it in the latest live from narva (or just look Malm street bext border crossing (just ask people to move your bag while your away.. just dont ho all the way to the back as a overly kind european 😀
@@Igorinrussia Thank you! :) The thing is: I am arriving at 16:00 at Tallinn Airport, I will take the 19:00-7:00am bus to St. Petersburg via Luhamaa. I don't know where I can find an exchange between the airport and Bus station. Do you know if there are any rubles exchange points there? Thank you so much for the videos :) You inspired me to visit Russia
@@marlonbasten hi Marlon, I’m also going to there in January, Im wondering what kind of bus are you going? Can I buy the tickets online? Did you also got the eVisa? Any particular tip? Thanks
Thanks for this video. Just some questions, do you know how many km are from the train station of Narva to the minibuses of Ivangorod? Is the similar distance that you have to walk when you go by bus? You mention the passport control in Russia. Did you see signs in English? If i want, instead of that minibus, can i take a bus of luxexpress for Ivangorod to St. Petersburg? At the end, how long took to you the trip? Thanks in advance.
WThank you! Subscribe also to my other channel: www.youtube.com/@WestToEastQuest Book hotels on Ostrovok.ru if you yet dont have a russian ban crad to pay for em, you can choose the option "pay on location" that usually doeasnt cost any more than the other option. Ps. check out my Guide playlist
Hey, payment on spot by cash or online (sberbank) transaction. Yiu can exchange some money in narva for example (malmi street next Border crossing has couple exhchange offices)
Now, no. The finnish border closed unfortunately. I actually travelled in this video helsinki-tallinn-narva-ivangorod-saint petersburg-vyborg to get there. Otherwise one bus line stops when travelling from helsinki also in vyborg (Sovavto , i have done video about it)
Thanks for showing this route. A couple of questions: is there a bus or train that goes from Ivangore to Moscow? Is there a direct bus from Tallin to St Petersburg like it used to be from Helsinki to St Petersburg? Also can you update the money exchange situation. Last time i was there in Nov, it was really a pain. Money exchanges and banks would reject any dollar bill that's not brand new!!!
Hey, no bus to moscow fromIvangorod. But the road i presume would go through saint petersburg… its only 2,5h away. Then you have plenty options to moscow Direct bus is available (on my channel also) but have to cross walking the border) Inhave new exchange video coming up… but the bills should in great condition yes
A person in the internet suggested to take a bus from Tallin to Saint Petersburg. He said that the bus is big and comfortable, with hot drinks. Idk about what company he talked though. And from Saint Petersburg take a Sapsan (fast train) to Moscow. It's cheap and very fast. And I think that it will be cheaper and more comfortable than taking a plane to Turkey and then to Moscow. And plus you're able to see places and also visit Saint Petersburg
Probably a usual multi-usage travel visa. But if you want to visit Russia on your vacation, for example, then I would recommend to get an e-visa. You get it completely remotely, via internet, and there are even NATO and EU countries included in the list of allowed countries. Write "e-visa Russia" in the internet and go to the website names just "e-visa", without any website picture. It's an official one. And check the countries there and the places where the e-visa will work.
Hi Igor thanks for the video. You did scouting for the route. You think is posible catch 1530 minibus to Peter if coming with morning train from Tallinn?
Morning train , you mean arriving at 14? I got lucky a bit and there was no lines on the birder. Starting 1.2. Tranaport cant pass the beidge. If theres a bus load of people before yiu , it might prolong significantly the passing of the border, esp. On the russian side
Hi Igor - I’m thinking of travelling to Russia later this year via the land crossing at Kirkenes in northern Norway to Murmansk. Have you tried this route?
Hi Igor! Thanks so much for this video. I am also in Helsinki and plan to visit St. Petersburg. Do you know if there is any problem bringing euros across the border?
