One advice if you don't wanna have doubt whether you placed buttons correctly or not- 1 layer takes 4 stacks and 10 ice and buttons, so keep 4 stacks and 10 in your inventory, if you use all then you didn't miss, if you are left with any then you know how many you missed.

Just finished building one side and I may make the other side later, but here are a couple of tips for when you build it: Bring extra stuff, specially coral fins they're annoying to get so grab extra just in case you break them. Get a silk touch tool, it helps with glass and ice. Organize your inventory, you'll be building for a while so it's better if you can find where every item is. Very good farm after all

Great build. Took a couple sessions to gather the materials to do one tower, and I'm about 11 stories in - and so far so good. So much fun watching all the xp coming straight to you! Thanks Silent and Thanks Mike!
This farm works great. However, the water streams for the storage system make it so a lot of the gunpowder that is supposed to go to the chest go to the player. You can fix this by replacing the ice blocks in the water streams with a normal block like stone bricks. And where you place a bottom, make sure that there is an ice block below the button. Don't forget to keep the button inside of the water source. Hope this helps.
I built just 6 layers of the farm and went from 150 gunpowder an hour to 1400 an hour. After 1 afk session I have more gun powder then I'll ever need. Thank you. Though i get the occasional zombie or witch.. cant find that missing button.

Just finished a survival build on Switch, here’s some stuff I learned in no particular order: - 3-4 stacks of scaffolding is very helpful, I burned through my last 2 stacks of rockets early in the build. Alternatively, make yourself a landing platform early on. - When grinding the spawn levels, you can fit enough resources into your inventory to make 2 full platforms before resupply- 9 stacks ice, 9 stacks buttons, 3 stacks dirt, 2 stacks slabs, coral fans, stack of trapdoors - this leaves room for tools. - when placing buttons, sneak. Swift sneak is very useful. I found sneaking when placing was ultimately faster than running as I didn’t waste a bunch of time going back to fill in missed blocks. - An easy way to verify buttons is to go into 3rd person as mentioned in the video, then angle the camera and slowly walk diagonally across the platform from corner to corner. Any missed blocks will be very evident. - Keep your bed away from your storage if it isn’t in a shelter. Waking up to an insta-boom and watching half your double chests (full of stacks of items) go pop is not fun. - Order of operations: (from below/top of lower platform) - 1. Ice 2. Buttons 3. Dirt/coral fans/trapdoors around coral (now go up on top of the one you’re building) 4. Shovel dirt into paths 5. Place slabs on non-dirt edges 6. Place trapdoors on floor 7. Repeat My best time for 1 floor was just over 13 minutes, average was 15-16 minutes - One trident doesn’t want to keep killing, it will get into a position after a few minutes where it doesn’t kill creepers. Haven’t been able to figure out why yet. Update: User error, a couple missed blocks were allowing the trident to get misaligned. - Initial test, 9 stacks of gunpowder in 20 mins and I was only holding my looting 3 sword for about half that as I had some tools to repair Thanks again Silent, I can now make all my explodey plans come to fruition! UPDATE 9/9/24: Works beautifully. Based on chest loot I still have a spot or two that can spawn zombies and witches but I haven’t invested the time in tracking them down yet. ~2 hrs of AFK (50-55 min commute x2, turn on hotspot and let it run while driving) with looting 3 sword, gets me just shy of 3 double chests filled with gunpowder. I only built one full section so far and the rates are still great. i tested the rates of gunpowder for one hour while holding a looting three sword and I collected 47 stacks +18 of gunpowder (3018 gunpowder/hr). Pretty good rates for just half the build.
Hello Silentwhisper, I have tried to make a bug report about this before, but I have been unable to. Mobs (Like wolves, pandas, ocelots, ammodillos, parrots {tamed and untamed} and creepers. {Those are the ones that I have tested}) can enter the Nether through a portal, but they can't go back through any portal aftarwards unless you breed them in the Nether (which you can't do with some mobs) and take them through to the overworld, but if you take them back to the Nether the bug still occurs, this bug dose not effect villagers or allays however and I think that this is the reson that it has not been noticed. This bug has been a issue for me since one of the 1.18.something versions (or at least that is when I noticed it).
I don't want to belittle the quality of silent's tutorials, but remember that this is Mike Homer's farm, and Mike made his own tutorial. This is silent holding mike's beer for him. I'm glad silent is bringing it to a wider audience on bedrock though
I mean they do tho you can literally find an easier creeper farm for java and it will make twice as much gunpowder, that’s one of the few things i hate about bedrock.
@aqc3230 bedrock ones work fine the problem is people try to treat 2 different games the same way I got a simple creaper flushing tower that makes more than plenty that even in a server of moochers the storage is almost always got enough for everyone
I thought this design looked similar and i saw the mikehomer in the description! Brillianr design and brilliant tutorial by Silent once again. Thank you for the video!!
silent this was brilliant, and the xp fountain is literally chefs kiss. after you said 16 rows of ice my jaw dopped lol. but i did it and i dont regret it. now for the other side.
Having just built this, I have a few tips. I recommend placing the buttons before you do the trap doors for each level. Also to make sure you don't skip any spots with the buttons, craft four stacks +10 buttons each time. I didn't do this for the first half and had to go back a couple times to inspect and find the missed areas. Also, seriously consider doing a shulker box loader here given the amount it produces. After one night of AFK with half the farm I had more than I'll probably ever use.. and then built a the second side. In the future I'll probably kick myself for not installing the loader when I go back to load up on gun powder manually. One day I hope we get the same shift click as Java..
Add a bed and some scaffolding or building blocks to the building list and u might want to make an infinite water source up on the build too as you’ll need lots of water
This works in bedrock on realms. I've got both towers built. I just need to do all trapdoor work and buttons on the second tower. Btw you don't need coral fan. You can still use trapdoors in the same place. We've loaded a shulker loader and auto crafter. This way we can load tons of shulker shells and chests and have them stack. We want to eventually build a quarry on bedrock so we need a TON of tnt
@@xinvis4661 np. Best thing to do is get rid of the lever. Put a repeater in that spot. Then run dust up to the line in front of the comparator. Do that for both sides. Then when you go to the afk platform you can turn on one switch and it will turn on the trident killers and the mine carts. That prevents you from having to flip every lever individually
@@justanotherfng556 Gotcha, I havent finished it yet but plan on later today. do you know if the farm works on 8 render distance? I build a pretty big auto sorter that needs to be on 8 render distance to work and Id rather not close the game to change it every time I got between the two
Thankyou silentwisperer and mikehomer for this amazing farm. I just finished building it in ocean, yesterday on both sides. Its working very well. Efficiency is like this 10+stacks/10min in ocean biomes.
Looks like Creepers have a surface spawn density cap of 5 and if I remember correctly a cave spawn density cap of 8. The bigger general mob farms pretty much max out cave spawns with all the layers below the top one, and when that's the case with a farm, designers tend to use that last, top layer that's still within your spawn radius to capture the surface spawns. This farm must not max out the cave spawn density cap for Creepers within spawn radius, so he stuck to the cave spawning layers to maximize spawns. I'm not certain on this, but it's what I put together from his explanations in the various farms videos I've watched from him and others.
Would rates be affected if I were to encase both columns to make them look less ugly as long as I kept everything spawn proof? I want to make the farm columns look like giant creepers.
Can confirm that this farm is still working 100%. I was a little hesitant at first, after reading the comments. However if you follow the steps EXACTLY, that farm works as intended. Took me a few days, as I only play after work. Totally worth it though! Edit* I’m on a realm too for the people wondering if it works. Thanks heaps Silent!
Wow this farm is amazing. Usually I struggle with making tutorials because I suffer alot with numbers and block spacing and figuring out where to place things but this tutorial was very thorough and that helped a ton and this farm works wonders. Thank you!!
Well done @Mikehomer and thank you Silent 😁. We are done building the first half of the farm, busy with the second half. Our ice biome is a bit far, 10 000+ blocks away 🥴, so we chose a cold ocean, but this beast is working like a charm none the less.😊
@@zander663 Is that why they're important? I built the Trident Killer to accept a mob supply with water pushing them forward from a drop chute and had a Glass Block in place of the Honey Block. It still works fine, so I can't figure out the reason for the smaller sized block. And wouldn't it be more economical to use a Chest, as making a Honey Block takes extra steps and materials?
Slight issue while using this farm in the nighttime, getting a few pieces of rotten flesh. Doesn't seem to be coming in the daytime so I don't think I missed a button or trapdoor anywhere. Also I have built a moss farm, sugar cane farm, auto crafter and shulker loader next to the farm, and I made sure to spawn proof every solid block. Still don't know why I'm getting rotten flesh only during the night
@@silentwisperer, what if I didn't place solid blocks above and instead used tinted glass for the roof? Will the lightning still go through it? (Should I tear it all down? I mean the tinted glass)
Phenomenal work! I was eagerly and nervously waiting for you to demonstrate where to throw the trident 😅 I struggled with making this trident killer work and you provided the key to unlocking it! 🥰😂
So I built everything exactly how it is in the video however, the gunpowder when flowing thru the tub skips over the hole to go to the storage and goes up the water elevator to my afk platform, would should I do to fix this?
@@ThatGuy-ef2sf found answer change the water speeds by moving pressure plates and buttons. I made both side and had the same problem so I went into creative and messed with the speeds and words fine now.
Tip: construct one layer at a time and put the buttons in place before the trapdoors also you might want to put cats around the AFK area in case any creepers get loose Sometimes they have been falling off the bottom platform and walking over
I've built two layers just to see if it was working and it works great. This is the simplest creeper farm I've ever built. No more dragging cats on leads up 4 flights of stairs over magma for me
Hey there, I made the farm in a test creative world and went from 0 to 60 in XP levels in 30 minutes. Great farm design and worth the grind! Thanks, Silent!
I can assure you I’m gonna M myself off I’ve lit built this in a frozen ocean( I’m on ps5 bedrock) I followed the TH-camr modstops tutorial and nothing seems to be spawning I’ve clicked on yours and it’s pretty much the same thing I’m at a loss on what to do
I had the same problem. I put my sim chucks down to 4 and I started to get way more spawns. Also make sure the farm is in the right chunks like the vid said.
It is real but I have seen a lot of comments saying that it is not spawning so here is the thing: Solution 1: building by the exact direction and exact part of chunk is important 2: you should not have used packed ice 3: If you are not high enough 4: IF you are not building in the biome mentioned in the video
Farm works absolutely amazing, took a very long time to build and gather materials and building in survival is not very fun but it's 100% worth the grind
A little note; if you don’t have all the wood for the trapdoors, slabs work just as well!!! Now, some trapdoors are still needed, but the trapdoors that are used on the spawning platform floor comes to 25 trapdoors, and times that by 16; you need 400 trapdoors, or 6 stacks 16. Which, ofc, can be replaced by slabs, leaving you with only needing 106 trapdoors, or 1 stack 42
Thanks mike homer for a great design. and thanks silent for translating and making the tutorial. it works great, a little of a grind to get it up, but worth it.
@@StonedApeAnimation There can be two possibilities , first maybe you used normal rails instead of activator rails and second is you did not powered the activator rails with lever . Hope it helps :)
@@Colossal_dragon_official how about the third possibility- the update that released this week changed the way the minecart behaves in this specific scenario
This is a phenomenal build and a very well done video thank you so much! I wish it was clearer how to find the chunk border and if I need the sword to have only looting on it. But genuinely not a big deal amazing tutorial and farm. Still works in 1.21 bedrock amazingly
It is a bug on bedrock: when you unload a chunk, there is a chance the trident falls through the ground. I hadn't found anything besides a workaround: like picking up your trident when you are done using a farm, and then throwing it when you want to use it
Just built half on bedrock realm and it works a treat. Just double check everything before you put roof on. I missed loads of buttons and even some trapdoors and it would have been hell to fix while swerving creepers.
you can actually use soul torches to light the build because the light level isnt high enough to melt the ice. and with mobs needing 0 light level to spawn, youre good. you just need more than normal torches.
Built one half so far and did a 10.5 hour test last night, average of 2950 gunpowder per hour (46 stacks). Likely would have been even better but I had drowned spawning in an area I hadn’t spawn proofed. Took maybe 4-5 hours to build.
You can also place 1 water source block at the top and place kelp all the way up, break it and replace the bottom block with soul sand. Breaking the ice blocks is so much easier though I didn't know that worked too
I don’t know if they’ve patched it or not but creepers on my build of this don’t see the dead coral fans as blocks they walk towards the hole then just stop and walk away, might have to use trapdoors instead
so I built the farm in survival and creative. The creative one works amazing and the survival works but doesn’t produce as much. I made sure I was in the right chunks and everything. I’m in the right biome, and not on the edge of the frozen biome. Do you think there is something I missed for the survival one to make it produce faster?

26:58 now that's how you place a torch! 😆
I never want to see another button again. Also adding on, only built 10 layers, and to be honest it's more than efficient XD. Thanks for this one Silent, you're the one person I can always trust a farm from.
Mike Homer the GOAT
Finally, creeper farms have never been good on bedrock so it's nice to see this
Built this farm works amazing thank you so much 😁
Just wanted to say. This farm works amazingly well. Thank you
everyone: gunpowder farms on bedrock suck!!
silent: hold my beer
I don't want to belittle the quality of silent's tutorials, but remember that this is Mike Homer's farm, and Mike made his own tutorial. This is silent holding mike's beer for him.
I'm glad silent is bringing it to a wider audience on bedrock though
oh yeah mb...
great farm mike!!! :)
Use ghast attic farms you just need leaf blocks and a pickax it is simple and gets plenty of powder and most of all doesn't require lag machines
I mean they do tho you can literally find an easier creeper farm for java and it will make twice as much gunpowder, that’s one of the few things i hate about bedrock.
@aqc3230 bedrock ones work fine the problem is people try to treat 2 different games the same way
I got a simple creaper flushing tower that makes more than plenty that even in a server of moochers the storage is almost always got enough for everyone
I thought this design looked similar and i saw the mikehomer in the description!
Brillianr design and brilliant tutorial by Silent once again. Thank you for the video!!
I have tried everyone else farm's but you are the best thx silent
this is the only guy i trust with bedrock farms
silent this was brilliant, and the xp fountain is literally chefs kiss. after you said 16 rows of ice my jaw dopped lol. but i did it and i dont regret it. now for the other side.
This will be so good for my realm! Oh wait…
heh oops😅

lolll r.i.p. minecraft realms
It’s like 30% of people who can’t play realms so your in the unlucky 30% then i guess? Just gotta wait for it to be fixed :)
@@Quinn22b199% of people are in the 30%
Add a bed and some scaffolding or building blocks to the building list and u might want to make an infinite water source up on the build too as you’ll need lots of water
Bring extra ice blocks and break them without silk touch in places you need water
We want to eventually build a quarry on bedrock so we need a TON of tnt
did you have an issue with the minecarts? when i place mine down the one that is supposed to be shaking doesnt shake
@@xinvis4661 I ran my redstone different. But if you want to invite me I'll set it up like mine and make sure it works before I get off
@@justanotherfng556 I was actually able to get it working, idiotically I was trying to use powered rails and not activator rails. Thanks though!
I was dreading having to build a ghast farm, so this video has perfect timing ☺️
Does it still work?

Silent doing creeper farm tutorial?
Is this the afterlife?
Q: Why don't you use leaves as the roof like you usually do to get surface spawn?
Because creepers don’t have surface spawns
@@Mr.Monkey16579 Do you mean that the Creepers that spawn on the surface (under open sky) are considered cave spawns?
@@TheKingofkrypton yeah my mistake, I’ll look into it
Looks like Creepers have a surface spawn density cap of 5 and if I remember correctly a cave spawn density cap of 8.
@@TheKingofkrypton Alr thanks for doing your research
Would rates be affected if I were to encase both columns to make them look less ugly as long as I kept everything spawn proof?
I want to make the farm columns look like giant creepers.
you cant use solid blocks around the build or itll mess up their pathfinding

Can confirm that this farm is still working 100%. I was a little hesitant at first, after reading the comments. However if you follow the steps EXACTLY, that farm works as intended.

Well done @Mikehomer and thank you Silent 😁. We are done building the first half of the farm, busy with the second half. Our ice biome is a bit far, 10 000+ blocks away 🥴, so we chose a cold ocean, but this beast is working like a charm none the less.😊

@@ecuniverse9146 the ones around the outside of the hole? Or just the ones on the ice?
Do you fix the Problem ? i have this problem too :D
Is the honey blocks necessary?
Yes
No you can replace them with chests they have the same hitbox

So I built everything exactly how it is in the video however, the gunpowder when flowing thru the tub skips over the hole to go to the storage and goes up the water elevator to my afk platform, would should I do to fix this?

Hey there, I made the farm in a test creative world and went from 0 to 60 in XP levels in 30 minutes. Great farm design and worth the grind! Thanks, Silent!
Did u build the farm on ps5?
I can assure you I’m gonna M myself off I’ve lit built this in a frozen ocean( I’m on ps5 bedrock) I followed the TH-camr modstops tutorial and nothing seems to be spawning I’ve clicked on yours and it’s pretty much the same thing I’m at a loss on what to do
Same here bro
im building it as well and im almost done. I'll tell you if i have the same issue.
Same here
I had the same problem. I put my sim chucks down to 4 and I started to get way more spawns. Also make sure the farm is in the right chunks like the vid said.
It is real but I have seen a lot of comments saying that it is not spawning so here is the thing:
Solution 1: building by the exact direction and exact part of chunk is important
2: you should not have used packed ice
3: If you are not high enough
4: IF you are not building in the biome mentioned in the video
Farm works absolutely amazing, took a very long time to build and gather materials and building in survival is not very fun but it's 100% worth the grind
does it still work even after the update?
Mikehomer is so underrated. All of his farm are insane
Thank you! Been waiting for this!
Thanks! This build will be a fun afternoon or 2 😎✌️
A little note; if you don’t have all the wood for the trapdoors, slabs work just as well!!!
Slabs won't allow the creepers to walk over them like they do with trapdoors. Theoretically slabs should work but they will slow the farm down
Nice, finally a good creeper farm.
Now I can get started on the charged creeper farm I wanted for a while
Thanks mike homer for a great design. and thanks silent for translating and making the tutorial. it works great, a little of a grind to get it up, but worth it.
I was just thinking about making a creeper farm and as always you upload just in time!

It really works ! I only build 5 platforms and in five minutes it gave me more than 2 stacks gunpowder ! Guys try out this build in your world also ;)

This is a phenomenal build and a very well done video thank you so much! I wish it was clearer how to find the chunk border and if I need the sword to have only looting on it. But genuinely not a big deal amazing tutorial and farm. Still works in 1.21 bedrock amazingly
I love this farm . It pumps . Great work Silent and Mike H . I do have to re throw the tridents in quite often . Is this just Realms being rubbish?
Great farm only one issue the tridents stop working when I try afking for awhile they just stop doing damage is there a fix to this
Built one half so far and did a 10.5 hour test last night, average of 2950 gunpowder per hour (46 stacks). Likely would have been even better but I had drowned spawning in an area I hadn’t spawn proofed. Took maybe 4-5 hours to build.
Thanks bro this was great
You can also place 1 water source block at the top and place kelp all the way up, break it and replace the bottom block with soul sand. Breaking the ice blocks is so much easier though I didn't know that worked too
I don’t know if they’ve patched it or not but creepers on my build of this don’t see the dead coral fans as blocks they walk towards the hole then just stop and walk away, might have to use trapdoors instead
Great farm, works really well thanks.
Awesome thank you so much!!
so I built the farm in survival and creative. The creative one works amazing and the survival works but doesn’t produce as much. I made sure I was in the right chunks and everything. I’m in the right biome, and not on the edge of the frozen biome. Do you think there is something I missed for the survival one to make it produce faster?
If i mob proof the plains biome would it cause the farm to have good rates like if it was built in a ice spikes?
no. the biomes mentioned just spawn creepers more often then the other biomes
Thanks! Guess I should look for a ice spikes biome then
Can you use buttons or trapdoors instead of coral fans? Was wondering why it needs to be corals fans
