Yeah Josh and I talked about it a long time ago. clips.twitch.tv/OpenBelovedFalconKAPOW-rTfjcN6BLh07rnjH I pushed it on my main Stix channel for a while, but figured I'd make a dedicated channel for it.
The cafe part seems to be cool. If the game was the cafe and the combat as two game modes, and the cafe only give you extra stuff, so if you want only the combat you can, it would be cool. I love management games, if it was the focus i would consider playing.
We had pretty similar experiences. The story wasn't the best, the art wasn't the best... but there was just something charming about the game. Combat was fun. I might still be playing it today, IF it wasn't for how the game doesn't respect your time. Too many systems, too many things to farm, too many things to manage. And the game just kept piling on more and more as I progressed. The game became a chore. When it becomes more of a chore than fun, it's time to move on.
The game wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so p2w. Summons as ftp are very abundant. I think I've summoned more times in 3 weeks than a year in most gachas as ftp.
Agree i quit last week, and i was tired of trying, it take most time just get resources to obtain, sstuff to level up, and improve the characters and you have very little, the story is ok and that but it arrive a point you past most time to obtain the resources and the rest of the game feel mostly filler, is so sad because the game was not bad
gacha game with catgirls *looks inside* a lot of dudes, mobs, bosses with trash designs being playable characters filling the roster (and almost no premiun gacha pulls for free so no limited banner characters for you)
I'm guessing this is inspired by worst MMO ever? Definitely needed something like that in the Gacha space, especially to cover smaller games. The AI ads turned me off from this already. Mandatory things should need to be done once and then optional afterwards. You shouldn't be put on rails the entire time, the game should value your time to play it rather than keep you there as long as possible. It's like they don't have confidence in their own game. If I could nominate a game for this series; the legend of heroes: trails of cold steel - the northern war. The release of this game was an absolute travesty, especially in global. It's basically just a cash grab game with a machine translation. The only good thing is that the screwed up TL was pretty funny. Looking forward to more of these!
Yeah Josh and I discussed this a long time ago. I did over 30 episodes on the main Stix channel but I want to separate reviews from normal videos, hence the split channels!
I mean, after I played HSR no other turn-based gacha can hold my interest. This game is exactly opposite of everything I love about HSR. Here the UI is a mess, the side activities are boring, in the main story the MC is forgettable and doesn't feel strong, the other characters are bland. From what I've seen in the beginning of the story, they're constantly pushing the story forward and not exploring the characters' personalities and background In-depth, the dialogue bloat is atrocious too, the translation from Chinese feels off, I can tell it is translated, some sentences are kinda weirdly structured unlike in HSR where they use very easy-to-read English. Overall, I don't like any characters like in HSR - Stelle, March, Robin, Sunday, Acheron (my fav). The game just feels like a trash-y anime and not in a good way, 4/10
The fact that I got an ad for this game right before this video 😂 But I love this style of content so I'm glad it is being combined with another interest of mine, Gacha games
I've been playing this daily because I like character models and the base of the game. However I agree that it takes too much time to get all my daily stuff done. I also don't like the cafe aspects of the game and it all using the same stamina pool. Also, the Ivorus Expanse was pretty neat, possibly the best unique feature of the game. But there is only one stage and to my knowledge there is absolutely no reason to replay the stage. Huge misstep for the devs with the Expanse IMO. I feel myself not playing it much longer unless things are adjusted to respect our time more. Has potential though.
Josh 🤜🤛stix Saving us hours while providing hours of entertainment and information Really looking forward for further entries on the series Can you please do outerplane?
I played this game back in beta, kinda enjoyed it but felt the combat was not as polished as reverse 1999, animations looked stiff and a lot of the times the delivery of the attacks felt shallow with no impact. That aside I didn't make it past 5-6 hours of gameplay, I didn't get to experience the daily routine which apparently is oversaturated. I hope this game corrects course since a game where I can have all my waifus be catgirls is right up my alley
Yeah, over a year! I ended up going for news, announcements and drama on my Stix channel but I miss doing deeper reviews. So I’m restarting this series on a new channel dedicated to these types of reviews. Next is Daiblos Core, then Horizon Walker! Maybe Orisries after that! If you DM me on discord I’ll make sure to stream it next week!
I give it the same score it was fun for like a week then got to grindy took to much of my time just to fill up my daily to 150/200 and OH GOD WHY IS THERE SO MANY MENUS, also (a tip for anyone starting once ur able to get in a clan u can use that currency for ur [profit strategy] makes farming and the deliveries less of a pain.)
Well, too good to see your review, I was playing this game and played it quite normal, but... I uninstalled it because it felt weird, like a second time job and I don't have THAT much time I can only play between house to work
I really hate games with excessive dailies. I get it, you want me to login daily for player retention reasons, but don't force me hang around for long if you don't actually have anything new for me to do. I can clear out my R1999 dailies in literally 3 minutes.
I don't think it looks that bad. Ui looks neat and characters designs and art are pretty appealing. Sure there is little reason to choose it over competition but i would rather play this than a netmarble game with windows popping, wanting me to pay every 5 seconds. Fair review overall but i could see it hitting a 6 or 7 for some people.
I gave it a try, i liked the tutorial a lot and was thinking "nice, a gacha with a faceless protag, it was about time" the tutorial ends and the hands of the protag appear "oh oh" i thought and then bam, chose your character: woman or twink i unistalled right after
I whale a bit in the beginning and regretted it. It's taking so much time to finish everything to stay on top of everything. Can you do a review on snowbreak and Nikke?!
Solid 9/10 for me, granted im actually at end game, unlike yourself who has just dipped their toe in the water. As someone who plays a load of mobile games, its one of the more enjoyable end game types, where I always have something to work towards or improve on. But I fully understand some of your points, and yes this is definitely not a game for you. Daily stuff is quick, but you need to actually get to a later point, early on dont really expect to fill out everything quickly. Much like almost every other gacha game, it does not respect your time early on, and yes it has a load of content. Shocker these days since most games launch with like maybe a weeks worth of content at best. (Not counting if you want to clean out maps genshin/wuwa/hsr) F2p friendly is subjective, as you can easily farm up standard rolls in this game, while limited rolls are pretty rude. Story is lackluster at best, pretty sure their main focus is combat and team making, as its sub stat system gives loads of variance.
I had such high hopes for the game. Especially after the trailer made it look like an RPG where you can actually run around. But I had to stop 'playing' after a few days. It's basically a Visual Novel with a lot of boring fodder. It has a lot of good ideas, I liked the Voice acting and Cut-scenes and it's clear that some functions had a lot of love put into it. But the overall package just wasn't fun for me. If they had made a semi-open world game out of this it would have made it more engaging. Especially because you can walk around in the cafe and the fishing spots look great!
People seem to be confused.
The series Worst Gacha Ever is a review series.
It's not calling the game the worst gacha ever.
100% this. Thank you for understanding!!
So this is the spiritual successor to Worst MMO’s ever. Nice!
Yeah Josh and I talked about it a long time ago.
clips.twitch.tv/OpenBelovedFalconKAPOW-rTfjcN6BLh07rnjH
I pushed it on my main Stix channel for a while, but figured I'd make a dedicated channel for it.
I wanna see Josh's reaction to this lol
I liked cat fantasy but since im a straight girl i was like "theres never gonna be a cute cat boy released ever i should just quit man.."
Based lmfao
@KurisuNo1 I really liked triss as ragdolls are my favorite cat but like I didn't wanna see her a§§
@@Scaracatiscute._. Ahh, that's fair. I heard Tears of Themis is a husbando collector, sounds right up your alley for a straight girl (so I heard)
@KurisuNo1 yeah but I like shorter guys who aren't too muscular so idk😭
@@Scaracatiscute._. Well unfortunately I can't do much to help you there. Hope you find the game you're looking for!

What would YOU rate Cat Fantasy out of 10?
7/10 for me I just hate having over 1,000 skip tickets and no stamina
It's just so much less in characters' designs, and music, I guess...
6 out of 10.
Thx for your review, Stix!😺😆
5/10 because of the amount of daily time this game demands is insanely high
8/10 because it's got cute Neko girls, it doesn't require much attention, the storyline is decent and it's relatively unique.
5/10. The game has some good features but it is ruined by somewhat grindy systems and predatory monetisation.
ToF players: Stix found a new worst gacha! We can finally rest now
Lol
Haha it’s the title of the series! ToF is coming eventually!
