Summary of the meeting: This is about how NASA could be involved in gathering more accurate data about UAP. That's really it. They detail how UAPs are an increasingly popular phenomenon and how NASA could be involved to acquire more rigorous data and conduct a more scientific analysis. So really this is just an introduction to a possible course of action in which NASA might get involved in the UAP detection. Very early days, dry and quite tedious, but a more scientific approach would be welcome if it does indeed happen.

Thank you as well......but....I feel that there is a secret space program and certain people in Naval intelligence and other government agencies already have researched and collected huge amounts of data and evidence on UAP/UFO's.I believe members of this panel know all about it as well. They started one year ago actually, but I don't think we will learn anything in the report. It will be a report about their future methods to study uaps. We can except a real report with results in few months.

in 2019 i have witnessed an object gliding across, but i wasn't able to tell too many people because of the stigma. One time me and my friend were jogging outside and upon spotting one of these objects, we sprinted as fast as possible (while looking at it) to gauge its distance to make sure it's not some kind of illusion up close, and I swear by everything that it was so far remained almost stationary for us, like sometimes a plane looks motionless in the distance yet moved in a strange stop-and-go movement.

How is it possible that Navy Pilots are seeing UAPs every day and the FAA does not have any radar evidence that the Navy has ?
It’s stated in the first quarter of the video; NASA is an open source public (only) analysis team. They work on “unclassified” information, if an F-16 fighter jet were to take a photo of the Statue of Liberty that would go into a classified document which couldn’t be shared with the public.

Umm stealth fighters we make and own cannot be seen by normal passenger aircraft radars , like what the FFA has. No conspiracy, no “secret information”.
Yes, it makes perfect sense. The FAA ATC radar is limited to line of sight so it can only see an aircraft 200 miles if it is at 20,000 feet. The ATC systems really depend on transponders that report the location of the aircraft. The Navy radar systems are much better and a lot of these only seem to show up on ir sensors. As to the strange performance seen if it was with EO sensors then it may be caused by errors in distance. As I said the conspiracy fans are out in force and know very little about the actual technology invovled.

They aren't even allowed to reveal a photo of a Ford Pinto taken by military sattellites without approval. Even when approved never in full resolution because it would give away the capabilities of the DoDs surveillance equipment. In the end we would get a blurry photo of a Pinto, worse than google maps satellite view. Or did you think the US military used 8 bit graphics? Cameras with 100 pixels total. They will reveal the photos and it will literally look like Space Invaders.

I recently left work late one night and looked up to see what looked like a bright star gliding quite quickly across the sky. I quickly googled it and saw nothing on the news but later discovered it was the ISS gliding over my region. So awesome!

Ive been seeing the same ufo for about 8 years. Hovering over me some days. Zig zag patterns. I watch it fly off into space and vanish. I have a video of it literally teleporting from right to left over Lake Erie.
So the 4 hr video basically says they are at the information gathering part of the scientific method. They're disregarding past data and looking to how to collect information with an array of sensors.

Yup, they also arrived at the conclusion that the actual unidentified cases are only less than 5%, which i find highly suspicious. This feels like history repeating itself because, back when Project blue book concluded its findings, they too arrived at a similar statistic, 5.5% ( 701 out of 12,618 were unknows), but that was even with their shoddy research, which respectable scientists like Allen hynek highly criticized. Inorder to make it more scientific, they sought the help of Battelle Memorial institute who did a rigorous statistical analysis of their data.
The main results of the statistical analysis were:
About 69% of the cases were judged known or identified (38% were considered conclusively identified while 31% were still "doubtfully" explained); about 9% fell into insufficient information. About 22% were deemed "unknown", down from the earlier 28% value of the Air Force studies.
In the known category, 86% of the knowns were aircraft, balloons, or had astronomical explanations. Only 1.5% of all cases were judged to be psychological or "crackpot" cases. A "miscellaneous" category comprised 8% of all cases and included possible hoaxes.
The higher the quality of the case, the more likely it was to be classified unknown. 35% of the excellent cases were deemed unknowns, as opposed to only 18% of the poorest cases.
Despite 22% of cases were unknown, USAF "incorrectly" claimed only 3% of the cases studied were unknowns, and they also claimed residual 3% would probably disappear if more complete data were available. How can someone make such an egregious error even when their conclusions show something different? This is why I'm highly skeptical of any "authorities" analysis. Make their methodologies and the cases they used public. We need full transparency, nothing less.

1) Government/public figures: NEVER use the term “follow the science” EVER again. The public now understands that it’s term that’s leaned on heavily when minds and public opinions are being guided
2) Suddenly uap’s “deserve rigorous investigation”? Why not in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s? Sightings/experiences are not more frequent, public interest certainly isn’t a real factor.

It can be frustrating at how slow moving high level officials can be in regards to these matters considering how blatant some of the evidence is. However, I’m being patient because these hearings on top of media generally being accepting and serious on the matter is a big step in the right direction. There is no such thing as 'science without bias'. Science is done by humans, who can be biased. Scientists aren't infallible. Infact, history clearly shows they have, on numerous occasions been biased, especially on this topic.

I was heading into work crossing the Walt Whitman bridge into Philadelphia about 15 years ago , I witnessed what I can only describe as a steel sphere/ball bearing type object hovering/floating over the toll plaza . I cross the toll plaza look up for it again and it's gone . No it wasn't a Ballon .
I definitely think a public app is a great idea. Maybe also characterize different cell phone models to a limited extent to know what the best case data could be from the sensors available? (Barometer, magnetometer, microphone, camera/s, RF interference?, GPS, etc) I wholeheartedly hope that the people with strong distasteful opinions can settle down as scientists slowly take interest. I want this studied professionally so badly, and the professionals can't take us seriously with the harsh attitudes! Let's go NASA and AARO!! 🙏🤞
I was thinking the same thing! The app could even have a calibration feature to characterize camera frequency response, dynamic range, artifacts, noise, effective resolution and frame rates against known phenomena. This baseline data could be submitted with any reports making it much easier to deconvolve true data from the variability inherent in consumer grade hardware.

For more than 70 years the whole UFO/UAP quest for disclosure and truth has been pushed for by a worldwide community of ordinary people, then NASA steps in at 30 seconds to midnight and it wants to take over the show. If people start to depend on organisations like NASA for information it might be another 70 years before any more real proof comes to light.

I've seen a UAP/UFO during the summer of 1981 while with a friend around 930 looking to the East while living in the San Juaquin county. There are theories that prove it was natural but those theories involve charged particles being discharged in the atmosphere causing the object to be repelled back into space. Was incredible to see. covered about a 1/3 of the horizon, made right angle changes in direction; 1st was from right to left going down toward horizon, 2nd was right to left parallel with horizon, 3rd nearly a 45 degree change directly upwards away from horizon, lasted almost 1second.

@@UFO_handler I left out, the speed of which the object appeared to move changed with each course alteration. it was an immediate change in speed, much like an on/off from old to new velocity, otherwise instantaneous. When it was directing towards the horizon it was moving at a "fast" speed, when it altered to follow the horizon is changed to a "medium" speed,. when it redirected back upwards or away from the horizon and faded from view it was moving at a "very fast" speed.

One night i saw this huge flash in space and that was mirror on one of those satellites turning, but what we are seeing is not satellites or other earthly manmade objects.
If two boys @ 13 year of age could handle to know that we are not alone in space and beyond i think rest of the people should know if something has been recovered. But reverse engineering is gold mine for any government so this will be kept secret by all those country´s.

The problem with this panel is that you have subject matter experts who for their whole lives have played the safe game. They became credible because they chose what is deemed academically safe and acceptable. As soon as they steer away from the norm, they are no longer viewed as credible by their colleagues. Moreover, they can also suffer from severe professional backlash. It does not take an astrophysicist to understand that alien life exists if their are billions of solar systems in the Milky Way alone, and potentially billions or trillions of galaxies in the universe. No matter how low the probability of extraterrestrial life there is, the universe is so large that it makes such a probability irrelevant. Look at the lottery for example. There is always a winner even though the probability of winning is almost impossible. The person who wins must feel as if they beat the odds or were the chosen one!
Lastly keep in mind this is NASA we are talking about. NASA is a government agency. These are professionals who play the safe game and have a reputation to uphold. This organization usually pulls from academics, who again have played the safe game. Let us be real here, aliens exist and humans are not the smartest in the universe.

@@maksenDK your argument would be correct 50 years ago. The discovery of exoplanets that could support life validates that there are multiple “lotteries” being drawn. As telescopes become more advanced, we extend the size of the observable universe. Moreover, more exoplanets would be discovered. Again the universe is insanely large (surpasses human comprehension), multiple “lotteries” would be drawn and it is a guarantee that we are not the only winners.

In 2021 my girlfriend and I were laying watching the stars in Columbia, CA when we saw a bright white light high up in the sky fly over very slowly. The odd thing was that it made absolutely no noise whatsoever, and the white light it was emitting was so white that I was almost confused as to if it was white or what it was. It hovered above for a second, long enough for us both to ask eachother if we were seeing what we both saw and then the light smoothly and slowly faded away, once again completely silently and that was it. I’ve now heard the exact same encounter 2 other times in the county I am in
These are the smartest people in the world at what they do and they have yet to even agree on what they are looking for. This tells me that when you set up the gambit of human experience, not intelligence, but perspective, we are still only scratching the surface of how any of us, if faced with factual evidence of other life forms or technology from other worlds, that we are going to need a complete program of education and preparation for the significant shift in our capacity to take in this information. I appreciate the step by step process NASA is laying out, because when you are introducing something to the world that will utterly change us as a species, the psychological outcomes to our species alone will be consequential. This is the first step of the first step. They are not saying that there isn't anything out there, they are saying that the only way to introduce this information is to present it in a universal, fact based way that will cause as little panic and can be ingested and processed. I am not convinced that we are being visited or that we are not being visited. No matter if NASA comes out and says, there is nothing out there and these are the facts to prove that or that there is significant information that we are absolutely being visited, I believe that we as a species learn in a very specific manner and the way we take in information almost needs to be reduced to the most antiseptic introduction possible.

The lady who was asking the questions asked the panel to stand and state your name, so the public could know who was answering each question, non did! I love to sit outside and watch the night sky almost every night and there are so many satellites and other things moving across the sky every night . I think our tiny area of space needs to be explored and studied more. We are just a tiny speck in relation to what’s out there.
