Hi everyone, hope you enjoy the video and it's helpful to you as it gives you a good idea of what to expect in the MDR'S onboard the Norwegian Prima. We didn't mention it in the video but we we both felt very ill throughout a lot of filming this, Stacey felt absolutely terrible when we filmed the lunch section! She hid it well lol but we carried on regardless 😁 Thanks so much for watching
Why do I watch these, makes me so hungry but I love your reviews. So many vloggers don’t mention prices but I love that you do. I think the viewers are smart enough to know prices don’t stay the same and look at when this was posted. Great job as always.
You guys really do these food reviews the best, and so naturally, hope you're both doing well and have another cruise booked (while we still can in this crazy world) 😎🏴🕊️
Hi sorry to hear about your illness. I catch a cold when on board I think it was the aircon in the cabin nice to see yous doing a review about the food we fought the food on board was really good in the restaurant one of the best had on a cruise ship. Thanks again and keep up the good work 👍
Thanks so much and yes we said exactly the same. If we had one gripe with the whole ship it was the constant Aircon blasting away in the cabin. You can't turn it down or off either lol you can only adjust the temperature 🤷
100% agree with you regarding the steak in the main dining room. The standard of meat throughout the ship was top quality throughout; one night there was Goulash on the menu and the beef was some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Also, regarding times to turn up to the MDR, we often ate between 7-7:30pm and the most we had to wait for a table of 2 was around 20 mins, they gave us a buzzer. In each of the MDR there is an accompanying bar (Belvedere for Commodore; Metropolitan for Hudson's) to wait in. Metropolitan had live music throughout the evening for people waiting.
Hi 😁 we never ate in the Commodore but the Belvedere bar before you went in was lovely, we used to sit and play cards in there. We didn't eat in the MDR that late but good to know you only waited 20 mins 👍😁
Hi Guys, found your channel as off on our first cruise on the Prima next week so your videos have come at the perfect time, really enjoying them and super helpful! Keep up the good work xx
The cinnamon raisin roll looked delicious. Twice! (I take it that was you ordering that again, Kev) So did the whole breakfast! Chili is quite often a part of breakfast in Arizona. Love a good Italian Wedding Soup If made right it's wonderful! Of course we're nosy. 🤣🤣Dinner looked delicious too. Love a whole lotta chicken! But we do enjoy broccoli too. You don't have to be a Brit to love custard, Stacy. Love both of you too! Enjoyed seeing the delicious food options.
Reservations for Specialty dinners open up at about $125 days before the cruise for Platinum and above or 120 days for lower latitudes levels. So booking at 4 weeks created the limited hours available to make a reservation for you.
Another fab vlog from you two. Knew you had it rough from your Insta but you hid it well. Still giggling at the kissed by an angel comment, Kev😂 Keep up the good work.❤
Great video. You both did well to eat if you weren't feeling well.( Im usually confined to cabin if rough seas). That was the strangest clafoutie, usually fruit in a pancake type batter when ive had it , or made it. Look forward to the rest of this series.
Thanks Elaine, we went for a lie down after lunch. Yes we couldn't remember what a clafoutie looked like but when it came we thought can't remember it looking like this lol. Was very tasty though
Hi Stacey and Kev. I've been waiting for this one 😄. For breakfast you had me at egg's Benedict, my favorite breakfast item. (I love poached eggs and have mastered them in the microwave). Kev, your lunch sandwich looked good. When you get it here by me it's made on french toast. Has ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. Served with maple syrup. Love chicken and pineapple together. Don't care for pineapple on pizza 😄. As always thank you for sharing your experiences with us. ❤❤
Thanks MaryAnn, the sandwich sounds nice made on French toast too. And we should maybe try to do our own eggs benedict at home. Where we're from though you'd get a strange look if you said you'd had that for breakfast. Far too posh lol
@@OneCouplesAdventure that's why I order eggs Benedict when I'm out or on vacation. When I do my poached eggs, I put it on a multi grain bread and add some sliced avocado instead of the sauce. 😋
Had family on the cruise so heard as it was underway that the wx was bad, Belfast skipped, for example. . A shame but it’s great you did the video, it’s really good. The food looks terrific.
Where in England is your accent from? I'm American and I'm just wondering. I very much enjoy your food reviews. Thank you so much for such a thorough job!! I just subscribed to your channel.
Hi guys love your videos very informative and thinking of doing a cruise for the first time my worry is sea sickness I get scared being sick . Thinking of Norway
Thanks Brenda and yes understand why you might be a little nervous. This was our 8th cruise and the worst rough seas we have had. That's the thing though you just never know. Some good antisickness tablets and a lie down usually works though. Hope you manage to make it on one 😁
@OneCouplesAdventure thanks for the tips do you go on cruises as a job reviewing them as some are extremely expensive i am 65 and so is Hubby in your opinion which company would be better to start I like the look of QM2 but P.&o seem a bit more holiday camp style
Great video from you two as always. have to say Norwegian is on the more expensive end and you can see where some of that money goes... clearly on the food. those dishes look top quality. not long back off MSC virtuosa and MSC food is abysmal compared to other lines, but compared to the food these guys were having on the Prima the gulf is night and day!!!!
Another fun, informative video! QUESTION: Did you have the same waitstaff each day (because you sat at the same table in Hudson's)? I ask because getting to know the staff is half the fun for us on cruises, but the "freestyle" dining which is now commonplace across most cruise lines makes that more difficult. Thanks for your content!
Hi thanks again 😁 and no, even though we sat at that same table a few times we didn't always have the same waitstaff. They were all very lovely but understand what you mean about it's nice to have the same one
Now i'm hungry! but.. no restaurant to go to😟Just having to choose which place to go and which yummy food to to eat is one of the best things about most holidays isn't it 🤭
Thanks for the NCL videos. We usually cruise with P&O but got a great deal on a Norwegian cruise that sails in a couple of weeks (Breakaway). We’re a bit put off by the gratuities charge. How did you deal with this? We tip staff on P&O as we go during our cruise and are wanting to do the same on NCL. We think we’re going to tell reception staff to remove the 20% charge as we want to reward staff directly. Do you think this will be OK?
Hi the Breakaway looks like a nice ship and we prepaid the gratuities as it was cheaper than doing it onboard. Not sure about not paying them but maybe go ask them at guest services when you get on and tell them you would prefer tip as you go. See what they say

We just completed a transatlantic 11 day Prima Haven and ate at the Hudson for dinner one night. Very very good.
I like the way you both describe the food you had ordered and are enjoying.
Great to see you making the most of the MDR dining food , the things you have to go through for your channel !!!!!!!! Keep up the good work 👍
Haha thanks Barry

I’ve always wanted to try a monte cristo sandwich! So glad Kev chose it haha

Oh right that makes sense 👍
While in the Navy my ship was north of England near Norway and it was really rough. North Atlantic seems to have some rough season changes.
Hello to both of you - great video as always x
That food for freedom dining looks amazing. Cheers guys. We just back from Madeira. Was amazing. Third visit.
Hope you had a great time In Madeira, we love it there. Its a beautiful place

Lol thanks so much and yes definitely the roughest the sea had ever been 🤣
Thank you for showing food onboard 💁🇩🇪

Italian Wedding Soup cures a cold if you consume it as soon as you feel it coming on. ☺️

That mdr food looked awesome…. When kev said the chicken had been kissed by angels, it cracked me up. ncl seems to have its food game sorted
🤣

I wonder if I can get creme Brulee without the crust of sugar.

Raspberry jam/jelly - I thought cranberry jelly would of been more appropriate?
Haha yes that's true
Do you have to tip on NCL? Thanks 😊
You can either prepay the tips or pay them once onboard. Prepaying works out cheaper
Good job guys and i hope you enjoyed your cruise! Just a question, why you keep calling it “freedom dining”, it is actually called freestyle dining 😉
Thanks and haha we have done 3 cruises with P&O this past year and they call theirs freedom dining so the name just stuck
When are you guys going to do a Virgin Voyages cruise??
Would love to one day
How full was your cruise?
Hi it was about 100 passengers short of it being at full capacity
@@OneCouplesAdventure thank you
👍👍
How can they give you half a roast chicken and that tiny piece of broccoli 😂
🤣
I like my Monte Cristo not deep fried.
Is she a model?
Did you clean your glasses this morning lol 🤣😁🥰
She really is lovely, isn’t she? 😌
Raisins and goodness do NOT belong in the same sentence.
