Personally, I don’t buy Waverly as being anything but ultra femme. Please don’t take it as making a dig at people who are non-binary, trans, etc, but it just didn’t fit with her character cannon and felt completely out of place. I’m hoping that it was just Waverly going through a phase and her super girly, super feminine side will return. Character growth can come in so many different ways, but going from this preppy cheerleader to who she was in the movie… such as looks, being rude to Nicole, the feeling that she is just wasting away in Purgatory… just wasn’t it. Just me sharing what I feel about the change in Waverly’s character.
Exactly. it would have been a huge mistake to alter pronouns etc. I sadly wouldn't watch it if they did this as it would have been a nod to nonsense vs following who that character was and is. It would only make sense if the character went through severe trauma that turned her off from her femininity. It makes zero sense. I also don't mean offense. I'm just thinking from a political bow stand point vs staying true to the beloved character.
I really love Dom but I think that this haircut makes her older ... but definitely I love her!
What happened to my comment???
Is there nothing interesting to talk about? Only unimportant things such as pronouns?
the actor has changed their pronouns, so the question is if the character has also changed or not
I think your comment is insulting, not appropriate & definitely not necessary & just so offensive!!!
It’s a valid question. Waverly is constantly evolving and growing in the series for example, in the movie she now identifies as pansexual, and as the others have pointed out the person portraying Waverly changed pronouns, and over the course of the series they let the actors have a lot of input into their characters. If you find this unimportant then I don’t even know why you’re here because I can’t imagine you enjoying the show.
@@melmontano41 We both pretty much made the same comment by saying something was unnecessary, only you were offended in the end. What I said was an opinion on a topi, not an insult against anyone. Even when an insult is made it is up to the individual to decide whether to be offended or not. That part is on you.
That makes zero sense! The character is an ultra femme hot gal they embraced her female sexiness. That is the character. you don't change the character to match some actors personal life. that is what acting is for.
This happens when you're hurting inside the need to be someone else
