Thankyou for the wonderfull video on this station,I was last there in 1991..it only had 2 platforms then..and all the older trains were still running..wow it's all so modern now, miss all the old red rattlers..so much has changed.
Shawn Dalla-Vecchia That would mostly mean going to a T4 line station, as they completely dominate that part of the network. Stations I’d recommend include Wolli Creek, Sutherland, Mortdale, Cronulla and the corridor from Arncliffe to Hurstville, especially Banksia, as it has a good platform arrangement. Tempe also has nice views from the pedestrian footbridge.
Not sure that the signal box/management was too impressive on soem of the movements here. I often wonder about this when I travel on the network. It does appear frustrating at times altough I am sure that there are often good reasons for it.
Liked this one Phil. I have a touch screen PC and thought I may have bumped the dislike button by mistake (not sure).. I then hit the LIKE button and hope that your stats reflect that. Robert
Ignore those - they're not quite correct. Macarthur to Yagoona is as follows: T8 to Glenfield, T2 to Lidcombe, T3 to Yagoona. Program a direct trip in TripView and this is what it will suggest HINT: I've done this before, and I do work for the organisation
Can u not call this peak hour? Like it’s the last stop for suburban services, only a couple of passengers get off here and services towards the city aren’t peak hour. Macarthur gets a train to the city every 15 mins maximum and it’s like pretty late for peak hour, as shown 8pm. Peak hour is 5pm-7pm
What do you expect peak hour to mean?!? Because last I heard, it's a high-patronage period where people are going to and getting home from work. And sorry to burst your city bubble here, but not everyone commutes to the CBD for work; I'm one of the thousands that heads the complete opposite way to go to work.
"Discounting [phrase]" is a figure of speech, it's not an actual discount. In this use-case it means I'm separating school peak from standard afternoon/evening peak.
It's so interesting looking back at these old videos now
Times have changed so much

They try and keep it in timetable order as much as possible. It does annoy me a lot when they hold a train like that though.
Is this evening peak in Sydney?????
Rudolf Fabrie it’s more like after peak hour but this is the opposite direction so theres virtually no passengers
Requesting Trains at Richmond Please????

Can somebody tell what train here goes to yagoona from MacArthur
Aesthickawaiivans -_- none go to yagoona from Macathur unless it a Special event or something
Aesthickawaiivans -_- It requires two interchanges, a T3 train to Liverpool, then a T2/T5 train to Glenfield and then change for a T8 service.
Weekdays: T3 (Lidcombe) to Birrong, T3 to Liverpool, T2/5 to Glenfield, T8 to Macarthur
Weekends: T3 to Liverpool, T2 to Glenfield, T8 to Macathur

I work there. It's still Peak Period from 4:47pm to 7:14pm - discounting School peak which is 2:47pm to 4:29pm
BanksfielderIdiot3176 Sorry to burst your bubble but 8pm is NOT peak hour
Jaymie Treadwell what is discounting school peak? Last time I heard was that you get 30% off travelling non peak which is 4:30pm to 7pm I think
"Discounting [phrase]" is a figure of speech, it's not an actual discount. In this use-case it means I'm separating school peak from standard afternoon/evening peak.
Great video
