I saw the word pudding and was so hopeful and they absolutely delivered
I think you may have missed a rule, each round, after redealing the cards and adding new pudding, the direction of passing the cards is reversed. So it goes clockwise, anti clockwise, and so on. This stops the same player blocking your choice of card.
The rules never have the direction of passing being swapped, it's always left. Pasting left, right, left is included as an optional variant but the base ruleset is left only
Laurie always wins!! (I mean except in Blood on the Clocktower where his first win happened because Adam Snake Charmed Dom and then the Pit Hag erased the demon off the board entirely...)

Sushi is short for sushi-meshi, which is steamed rice finished with vinegar. It is enjoyed with other ingredients (raw or cooked fish, other meats or vegetables) prepared into single bite sized portions. The art form is that the Itamae (sushi chef) is crafting each piece with perfect balanced flavors and textures for the diner.
Sashimi is fresh raw fish or meat eaten with soy sauce. With no additional ingredients.
There are several classes of sushi (maki rolls, nigiri, etc) and of course now the art form has expanded to incorporate all sorts of variations on ingredients and rules (including even replacing the rice itself).

What you call an art form has its humble beginnings in what is basically fast food - the Edo equivalent of a sandwich. Take some raw fish you bought at the docks, slice it, and plop it on top of rice with vinegar and wasabi to keep it from going bad. Eating sashimi without wasabi, though, is just plain wrong (IMO, of course).
@@lazykbys true, but most great foods today evolved with very basic origin stories. In fact there is something great about taking a fundamentally simple thing and refining it into an art just because we enjoy it so much. Pho, Fried Rice, BBQ, etc all cheap and simple foods that have a real art form in perfecting.
