Correct. A long way to go until it has its own unique charm, in my opinion, but it's definitely one of the most well-known major metropolitan areas of the country.
There are multiple new 40 story skyscrapers planned

Agreed. Right now it's kind of like a Columbus, Ohio in a sense that they both have very large city limit populations, but not nearly as much recognition as they should as major cities in the US.

A lot of people don't realize that Charlotte’s population is approaching 1 million people! The city is quickly becoming one of the largest cities in the United States.

Charlotte: Atlanta's little brother.
Charlotte is a much bigger city than it was in the 90s, though. It's much bigger than when I first drove through the area in 1995, a lot bigger. It is about the size of St. Louis now.
Atlanta's younger brother for sure, it seems a little bit more modern to me though due to the more recent rapid growth.
@@infinite.destinations Atlanta has a ton of construction going on, more than Charlotte, especially in Midtown. They have begun the tallest building in Atlanta in over twenty years. They both are growing a lot.
True, I guess uptown vs. downtown ATL, and some of the suburbs feel more modern to me in Charlotte. It's all opinion, though. Like you said, they are both growing fast.

I haven't spent enough time in Denver, but I really enjoyed Seattle while I was thoroughly visiting last year. I'm gonna say overall, Seattle has a slight edge over Denver, in my opinion.
