Club Junkie: Takomo 301 Iron CB/MB and Project X HZRDUS Black Gen 4 reviews

I took Takomo's new Iron 301 Combo set out on the course to see how good the 301 CB and 301 MB are. Takomo has made another solid set of irons featuring a muscle back and cavity back iron that are forged from stainless steel. Project X has their latest HZRDUS Black Gen 4 wood shaft out and it is a smoother feeling, better performing version of the original.

How does Project X HZRDUS Black GEN 4 Shaft compares with the Mitsubishi Kai’li White Shaft 4 the same shaft paramaters?

For me the HZRDUS Black Gen4 launches a little higher and spins a little more than the Kai'li White. The Kai'li also feels a little more stout, takes a little more to load it on the downswing.

​@@golfwrxradio I tested the Kai'li White & the HZRDUS Black Gen4 during the Golf Show @ Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA last weekend on March 2023, on both Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond LS & Cobra Aerojet LS. I got lower spin numbers with the Kai'li White & a little higher spin numbers with HZRDUS Black Gen4. I think your description is accurate.

How does the HZRDUS BlackGen 4 compare to the Graphite design UB and Tensi Blue?

For me it is probably just slightly lower launching than the UB, but not by much. Definitely lower launching and spinning than the Tensei AV or CK Blue.

​@golfwrxradio so in your opinion are the 301 mb's not as intimidating as regular blades from other brands? Meaning they still have forgiveness built into a blade?
Also, how much difference is there in overall real estate in club size between the cb and mb?

I currently play the “old” Nike vapor pro combo. Can you compare the takomo 301s to my current ones? I am really intrigued by the takomo irons and can’t really decide which of these irons I should choose. I can’t decide between 101T, 201 or the 301s. If you have maybe a little support, I’d really appreciate it! Greetings from Germany.

I play the Nike Vapor Pro blades and received the 301mb/cb combo recently. Unfortunately I have not been able play with them, but size vice the are really close to each other. Neither one really have no offset. The 301s have wider soles than than Vapor Pros blades, which might be good thing. The clubs look amazing.
