Thanks bro. It helped me a lot for my trip from hyderabad to kochi. Via mysuru
Always welcome 🙏
Thank you, these videos are great resource
I am planning to take this route from Mysore to Kochi
Would you recommend via satyamangalam or this one( Bandipur)
Thank you for your kind words! 😊 Both the Bandipur and Sathyamangalam routes are excellent choices, each with its unique charm and challenges.
Both routes pass through scenic forest areas and feature hairpin bends, providing a chance to spot wildlife, including elephants. I recall a memorable trip via the Sathyamangalam route four years ago at night, where we encountered wild elephants blocking the road on three occasions!
Here's a quick comparison to help you decide:
Sathyamangalam Route:
Wildlife Encounters: Risk High, especially at night.
Pros: You will touch Coimbatore, and from there, the drive to Kochi is smoother and faster on 6-lane and 4-lane highways.
Cons: Potential delays due to wildlife, especially at night. Pay more toll charges especially between Coimbatore and Kochi.
Bandipur Route:
Wildlife Encounters: Risk Moderate - no night travel allowed.
Pros: Scenic beauty and an adventurous drive through the forest. Less toll charges.
Cons: After crossing into Kerala at Nilambur, the journey slows down with 2-lane roads and heavy traffic through various towns, making overtaking difficult, especially during peak hours.
Ultimately, it boils down to your preference for the journey. If you enjoy a faster, more straightforward drive, Sathyamangalam might be the way to go. If you prefer a more scenic and adventurous route, Bandipur offers that thrill.
Safe travels and enjoy your trip from Mysore to Kochi! 🚗🌲🐘
@@Keralapix Wow this is very helpful comparison.
I prefer travel during day light and some good roads with some vehicle movement [must not isolated roads since travelling with family].
I had even thought of going via kengeri - nice road - hosur - krishnagiri route😃 if these routes was not recommended for any reason
I'm glad you found the comparison helpful! 😊
The route you mentioned via Kengeri - Hosur - Krishnagiri is indeed quite a detour and almost doubles the distance compared to the Bandipur-Nilambur route when traveling from Mysore. Unless you have a specific reason to visit those places, it might not be the most efficient choice.
For a smoother journey with good roads and some vehicle movement, especially since you're traveling with family, I recommend the following route from Mysore to Kochi:
Mysore - Gundlupet - Bandipur - Mudumalai - Gudalur - Vazhikkadavu check post - Nilambur - Pattikkad - Perinthalmanna - Pattambi - Shornur - Wadakanchery - Thrissur Town - Kochi.
The total distance is approximately 360 km. Please note that up to Thrissur, it's mainly a 2-lane road. However, the route offers a balance of scenic beauty and manageable traffic, ensuring a safer and more pleasant drive during daylight hours.
Of course, this is just a suggestion based on my experience. The final decision is yours. Wishing you and your family a safe and enjoyable journey! 🚗🌄🏞️
@@Keralapix Rains are making me rethink of travel 😥
Which brand of dashcam did you use for this video?
I used a GoPro Hero 10 as dashcam
