For me, for over 5 years, it was always my go to wireless system as I bought 3 systems to use for my rigs (bass or guitar) to change out guitars during gigs and for back ups for shorter gigs.
Part of the reason I chose the 30 over the 50 was simply the connection to the transmitter. A one foot 1/4 pedal cable was easier to replace than the cable used on the G50. And adding another axe to the gig was easy, as I can just use the other transmitters, and buy another said cable and viola, Multi guitar system!
The battery door was a simple fix by using a 6 inch cinch strap for cable wraps affixed on the the belt clip and wrapped on the guitar strap (using a 1 foot cable to connect to the guitar) strategically wrapped to keep the door closed. Was always solid and never cut-out during ANY show I've played (as long as there was no interference from any 2.4ghz routers being used. Additionally, using the other transmitters, and making sure I the signal was connectable to 1 transmitter, I had a cheap, multi-guitar wireless system that became a game changer (switching guitars easier, faster, and on the fly). Additionally, I bought the g30's on sale at $130 from GC or other retailers at the time. I did that as well because I wanted a back up for either of my rigs (bass & guitar). I every possible thing to make sure they were seperate signals for each if I was to use them or share in the playing with another member of my band.
I really wish they updated the electronics on them cuz 2.4 is just so crowded now at venues, especially for wireless sound systems (Dead giveaway would be the audio guy using an iPad to adjust levels). It was great when I needed it, but useless if there was nothing I could do (even trying EVERY channel) to get the proper signal without dropouts. Sadly, it has been removed entirely from my rigs, and I have adjusted to using the NUX wireless systems bug system (on 5.8 ghz band rather than the 2.47) for the time being until I can find another way to have multi guitar systems for a rig or 2.

The wireless is ever so slightly brighter.

All three guitarist/bassist in our band run these. They're all in a pouch because of the battery door/clip issues. But the functionality of the wireless itself, absolutely no issues. Very solid choices

Had no issues with mine until the last year. Totally ruined a gig for me last night. Was cutting out, all the treble was cutting out.

You don't show how you link it to the guitar, does it plug in, etc.?!

After a couple of gigs, be ready to buy tape to hold the lid tightly against the batteries. My lid is not broken. Just really bad connection

Bought mine in 2019 but did not use it out until COVID lockdown ended and places started hiring. Finally used it at a gig and it cutout for 6 seconds in the middle of a song (and I'm the bass player). Tried all of the troubleshooting tricks after seeing several folks reported the same problem. Used it at another gig and it kept cutting out, Contacted Line6 and no help. $250 down the drain. I will never use it out again. Unreliable. (along with the battery door busting and the belt clip snapping off)

The G30 has dropped out in every single show I've had in 2023. Think the G30 is coming to the end of its life cycle, completely unreliable
