I swear there is never any hype in this community.. literally no sims 4 pack has ever come out without everyone whining about it. This looks fun.. I dont understand the obsession with seasons and pets like we always had to wait about 3 years for them why would sims 4 be any different?

*TL;DR Warning* It's like, people understand that game development takes TIME, right? Toddlers and Pets would be the two most difficult to implement due to all the new interactions and animations they'd have to add, not to mention making all those new character models. And seasons? People are already making mods for that. I have the autumn one installed. I'm not someone who buys every single pack anyways, so I'm fine with them releasing small packs consistently with diverse content to choose from, as opposed to massive packs with a very niche content range once every 4-6 months. So we're missing Seasons, Universities, Pets, Toddlers, and other Supernatural stuff. I get that these have been in the games in the past, and "Sims 4 is going to be different" isn't a great excuse, but whining like a toddler until you get all the packs you want isn't going to make them release any faster. Again, I'm glad they've been releasing content regularly. It's not the usual stuff, but it's new, it's different, and hey, it's something. ~On a different note, I'm excited for this pack. It's a nice throwback and looks like it's adding a lot of new content and interactions to the mix.

I love when they make expansions like this, sure they aren't realistic like pets or seasons, but if sims was just based on realism then you might as well go outside and do that stuff lol

I love how the trailer makes Caleb look so menacing, and then you get in game and he's a cinnamon roll who strives to be a good vampire and mingle with humans. Granted, I've played him as nice and evil. He makes a damn awesome evil vampy, but I still prefer leaving him nice (and getting him with my sim Jade in like...every save lol) I also may or may not write fan fics about him, Morgyn Ember and Jade 🤣🤣

xGhostGaming Blood, death, and violence is essential to most stories involving vampires. So is sex, treachery, control, and power. Some of these will be easier of the sims 4 to accomplish (or have a cop out like referring to blood as plasma.) than other. Mainly that it's unlikely that they'll ever have mechanic where sims can directly kill another sim. Even if they add some mechanics to hunt vampires, it's unlikely they'll ever have a way to kill said vampire (like staking, etc.). It would probably result in the vampire getting a stern talking to by the hunter. I really hope that they add features that are more mature for their aging player base. Possibly even making it an expansion. Possibly even having a mental state motive. This could open up a wide range of stories. Like (for example) a mentally scared combat veteran returning from war and coming to terms with the horrors they've seen. Possibly play a new job as a psychologist. It seems like most people who play the sims 4 (at least on TH-cam) are old enough to remember the original Sims games. I will say that this game pack is probably the most mature depiction of vampires that has been in a sims game. I'll probably get this and whatever preceding content I'm missing when I get a new computer. If this proves to be adequately deep, I hope the continue this trend to give the occults the love and attention that they deserve. (Instead of being tacked on to a larger project. Sorry Aliens.) It would be great if they expanded on Alien and Ghost gameplay.

SonicChaos15 the sims 4 was rushed, because they tried to make the game multiplayer but it did not work. They have to make choices so it would be either toodlers and seasons or the game would have less content. But now there are toddlers in the game, so why complain? :)

The Sims community has been here for a looong time and alot of simmers have been here since the first game and have bought every base game,pack, and expansion loyally. Even if they are very pricey. I think people just expect it to either be a little less expensive or they could at least add more things to the base game and not force people to pay $20 or $40 for something that should've been in the base game in the first place (for example, toddler, seasons, and pets)

Maxis cant please everyone, and this was the better compromise as a lot of people dont care about vampires so a pack dedicated to them is the most logical way to do it

On the one hand, I like the idea of expansions going deep rather than broad. On the other hand, the price tag this kind of expansion would put on getting every expansion I want... *shudders * Far more terrifying than any supernatural creature. Like, City Living was such an ambitious and amazing expansion pack, like the streets change ALL THE TIME and for some reason it sparked a shit load of controversy! Why can't people just be patient rather than bitch about their lack of seasons and pets? It's most likely on EA's to-do list anyway because they were clearly successful in the previous games.

Omg I played with my first toddler today and I was literally in tears everything is so well thought out and the animations are adorable. Thank you EA. Seriously though, they put up with people's temper tantrums and not only gave toddlers to us for free, they made them better than they have ever been, in my opinion. I love tots :)

Well, they have been keeping up with all the requests lately. They added toddlers in what it seems like a hurry, since there are almost no items that came w/ the update, so they've been doing pretty good in my opinion. Not gonna lie, some of the packs they've made are trash, but I like alot of them, and so do many others.

This is the expansion pack i've been waiting for since the launch of The Sims 4. It's so good!!! and i love how you can totally go so many ways, from classic victorian fashion model vampires from True Blood and Interview with the Vampire to the creepy undead monsters like Nosferatu.
At first, yea, i felt The Sims 4 was disappointing. With all the new expansions and free updates its by far the best Sims game in history. City Living was a step in the right direction and with the new free toddlers update its just awesome. The loading screens don't even bother me anymore due to the fact that there are no rabbit hole lots anymore and the game-play is so smooth and there's little to no glitching. Thank you EA :)
Hope that they will have the option when Werewolves come out to make them shapeshift into a wolf, or be more man like. The powers leveling up looks promising and fun! We just need more occult types now and the Sims 4 will finally give Sims 3 a run for its money - since game-play has been a bit underwhelming and gets dry fast, we need Werewolves, Witches, Mermaids, Fairies and Robots to keep things interesting!

+Eonie dude Remember Sims 2 and 3? Well, in sims 2, vampires came with nightlife, and the rest came with other ep's, such as werewolfs=sims 2 pets, witches = sims 2 apartment life, etc.. In sims 3, vampires came with late night first, then all of the occult states were later introduced in supernatural.. So, i think you'd have to wait until a (possible) sims 4: supernatural is out... Reminder: It's a game pack, not an expansion pack, so, it has less content than an expansion pack..
Watch when they live stream the game for the Q+A and someone asks if we have vampire babies they are going to say "no no this pack doesn't come with vampire children, we tried to focus on more important aesthetics" forgetting that the little things count the most

EA is doing a good job. Though, it's a little sad how people are complaining over some aspects of the game. If Sims 4 had basically everything including toddler,s vehicles, open worlds, supernaturals, pets, celebrities all in the base game, then they wouldn't earn any money. The point of Sims is for other packs to be released so they can receive more money. Well that's my opinion.

Unless they made the original sims with all of the things in it be a lot more expensive. This way they’re getting the money but only because people don’t realize how much they’re spending on sims when it’s cut to like 200+- (DKK) per pack.
Trust me, they would make money... Just not enough to satisfy EA, lol, or the sims devs, tbh. Sims is a big franchise, and they might even have enough power to boss EA around a bit, if they cared enough about their fan's pockets.

xGhostGaming Blood, death, and violence is essential to most stories involving vampires. So is sex, treachery, control, and power. Some of these will be easier of the sims 4 to accomplish (or have a cop out like referring to blood as plasma.) than other. Mainly that it's unlikely that they'll ever have mechanic where sims can directly kill another sim. Even if they add some mechanics to hunt vampires, it's unlikely they'll ever have a way to kill said vampire (like staking, etc.). It would probably result in the vampire getting a stern talking to by the hunter.
I really hope that they add features that are more mature for their aging player base. Possibly even making it an expansion. Possibly even having a mental state motive. This could open up a wide range of stories. Like (for example) a mentally scared combat veteran returning from war and coming to terms with the horrors they've seen. Possibly play a new job as a psychologist. It seems like most people who play the sims 4 (at least on TH-cam) are old enough to remember the original Sims games.
I will say that this game pack is probably the most mature depiction of vampires that has been in a sims game. I'll probably get this and whatever preceding content I'm missing when I get a new computer. If this proves to be adequately deep, I hope the continue this trend to give the occults the love and attention that they deserve. (Instead of being tacked on to a larger project. Sorry Aliens.) It would be great if they expanded on Alien and Ghost gameplay.

My opinion: Sims 4 and Sims 3 are two different games. They are not made to be exactly alike. Ea is trying to put the things that the community asks in other ways, trying to make it better ( with the budget they have) but not the same, and to put new things. If you want the things that are in the sims 3 in the sims 4, play the sims 3 or wait for them because those things take time, don't be angry because it isn't in the game NOW. I'm pretty sure the sims team worked really hard to make this pack, they aren't just playing around, and those comments that are like :" Still wainting for...", " They were on the ep", " they just want our money" may be your opinion, but try to be not rude and a little bit grateful. The Sims community has been here for a looong time and alot of simmers have been here since the first game and have bought every base game,pack, and expansion loyally. Even if they are very pricey. I think people just expect it to either be a little less expensive or they could at least add more things to the base game and not force people to pay $20 or $40 for something that should've been in the base game in the first place (for example, toddler, seasons, and pets)

Maxis cant please everyone, and this was the better compromise as a lot of people dont care about vampires so a pack dedicated to them is the most logical way to do it

Omg I played with my first toddler today and I was literally in tears everything is so well thought out and the animations are adorable. Thank you EA. Seriously though, they put up with people's temper tantrums and not only gave toddlers to us for free, they made them better than they have ever been, in my opinion. I love tots :)

Saga well, i can relate to you, since i'm just a band geek who makes $0's a day, and that i say "oh well there goes my wallet lmao" every 1-2 months a new pack comes out, but i don't think people should be angry at every single dang pack. there HAS to be atleast one pack someone likes, and not all the packs are sucky.
Well, they have been keeping up with all the requests lately. They added toddlers in what it seems like a hurry, since there are almost no items that came w/ the update, so they've been doing pretty good in my opinion. Not gonna lie, some of the packs they've made are trash, but I like alot of them, and so do many others.
All the negativity in the comments makes me feel like I'm the only person in the world that actually likes Sims 4 more than all the others, especially Sims 3 and its god-awful ugly Sims.

At first, yea, i felt The Sims 4 was disappointing. With all the new expansions and free updates its by far the best Sims game in history. City Living was a step in the right direction and with the new free toddlers update its just awesome. The loading screens don't even bother me anymore due to the fact that there are no rabbit hole lots anymore and the game-play is so smooth and there's little to no glitching. Thank you EA :)

i wouldn't say it's the best sims game but to me it's better than the sims 3 was when that game was only 2 years in
Hope that they will have the option when Werewolves come out to make them shapeshift into a wolf, or be more man like.
The powers leveling up looks promising and fun! We just need more occult types now and the Sims 4 will finally give Sims 3 a run for its money - since game-play has been a bit underwhelming and gets dry fast, we need Werewolves, Witches, Mermaids, Fairies and Robots to keep things interesting!

Well it depends on what for a simmer you are, if you prefer realism or maybe the supernatural. I personally agree that this stuff pack will (hopefully) be good.
+Eonie dude Remember Sims 2 and 3? Well, in sims 2, vampires came with nightlife, and the rest came with other ep's, such as werewolfs=sims 2 pets, witches = sims 2 apartment life, etc..
In sims 3, vampires came with late night first, then all of the occult states were later introduced in supernatural.. So, i think you'd have to wait until a (possible) sims 4: supernatural is out...
Reminder: It's a game pack, not an expansion pack, so, it has less content than an expansion pack..

EA is doing a good job. Though, it's a little sad how people are complaining over some aspects of the game. If Sims 4 had basically everything including toddler,s vehicles, open worlds, supernaturals, pets, celebrities all in the base game, then they wouldn't earn any money. The point of Sims is for other packs to be released so they can receive more money. Well that's my opinion.

Unless they made the original sims with all of the things in it be a lot more expensive. This way they’re getting the money but only because people don’t realize how much they’re spending on sims when it’s cut to like 200+- (DKK) per pack.

I thought it made sense until I realized packs don’t combine with other packs.
For example, I bought the vampires game pack and the pets expansion pack.
