Enjoyed this video and learned something new as well. I am an RN and often you are not taught basic first aid techniques. Luckily I was also an EMT but this was still useful information.
Are all of these steps something you do one after the other so they're all combined? Or is it something where you can just use the stirrup style or the figure 8 style etc? If you just use the landmark in one other step, how do you know which one to use?
@@rei yes indeed it does! I just volunteered to be the hiking coordinator for my son's Cub Scout pack and I'm still relatively new to hiking, so I was looking to the experts at REI for help! Thanks REI!

The whole video is only 4 minutes and she’s going slow to help teach the technique. If you sprain your ankle you’ll probably want to sit down for a few minutes anyways.
Nice extras in this presentation using different color tape and measuring before tearing with the non adhesive side.
Excellent video. Using different colors of tape helped see the directions better. Thank you for making these videos!
What a really simple yet immensely useful video. Thanks!

This was illustrated so nicely. Awesome useful content. Thank you.
TY, very much for this.
Pretty cool. I have only seen this done with an ACE type bandage, the tape method is different.

Hey there! These steps are intended to be combined for ideal ankle support. We hope this helps!

If you have gorilla tape or duct tape would this still work?
Yes
At the rate she is going, the patient was already pronounced dead.
Lmao, from an ankle sprain?
