Haet Beyleron was my favourite series as well. Nice to see daggerwin just chilling and enjoying the game again. Gonna try and stick around for this one.
Haut Beyleron was one of my favorite series along with Silverrun. Speaking of Silverrun I would love a rags to riches Silverrun series. I am currently engaged in a R2R playthrough on Silverrun (started with very cheap vehicle around 2k in price and a placeable caravan that I am assuming I have borrowed from the guy who told me about the roller coaster build contract). I am playing with the lease a business mod to help things along, although I haven't actually leased anywhere yet. Mainly I am doing other contract work to gather enough money together. Still only in October of year 1 so not a lot to my name. I did buy a plot of land (opposite the sawmill you can't buy) so I could place the caravan ... but my rule is I have to deduct the cost of the plot from my bank balance before I can use it.
if you have an issue with getting things out of the store etc then you could get the store deliveries mod where you pay a little extra for whatever you buy to be delivered to wherever you set it to
This is an amzong series youve started Daggerwin. This seems special, and i greatly appreciate the effort you put into your videos. I hope you have a lovely day.
Loving this series. I usually just watch your survival series but it's really interesting to see you take a more realistic approach and not permit yourself to exploit every area of the game that isn't super realistic. And please don't worry about not progressing quickly. I think the slow paced progress actually keeps me more invested. It's farming after all!
Dag would you consider using the mod that has specific seeds for different crops? (i.e. canola seed and wheat seed, etc) maybe if somebody sees this comment who knows the name of the mod on mod hub can comment the name under my comment
[edited] animal food calculator is also nice because it shows you how much food they eat per day which helps you plan how much to feed them. Would be cool if you did something similar to real life where you feed them enough for the day first thing every morning just like my grandpa always did with his cows.
Don’t worry about putting the silage bales in the grain trailer perfectly realistic, all the crazy things I’ve done and things I’ve seen other farmers do😂
Hey Daggerwin! Large tyres on a sprouted crop would absolutely crush them... so I think that if you can stomach the inevitable frustration when you drive onto a sprouted field without narrow tyres on, get Crop Destruction Plus! (Enables crop destruction at growth stage one, instead of being ignored. So if you ever want to drive on a sprouted crop, you need narrows!)
Just a bit of a , guess tip or what i personaly like to do when i play the most realistic, which i try to do all the time, but i tend to have days per month set to 3 or 6, so if there is bad weather or anything like that i skip days, And besides you can just skip right passed those days if theres nothing to do, but it gives you more headroom in case stuff like this should happen. (and its more realistic if u think about it 🤭) Edit: Also whenever im in a newer type tractor which would have, or an older with retrofitted GPS / Mapping, i tend to leave the small minimap open in square whenever im in the feild
I think you are doing just fine sir, anyone so obsessed with you not doing every little detail as real life should get a life. It's a video game for petes sake! Keep up the good work sir
Since you're running Precision Farming, it would be totally ok to put the mini-map on while fertilising and applying lime. A farmer would have a similar display inside his tractor, showing where he has been and not. Also on bigger fields, the Guidance Steering (GPS) mod would be realistic. (But I know you don't like to use it)
Absolutely love this series love the attention to detail I'm sure its hard work but please keep it up it's so enjoyable to watch and hope your doing better mate thanks for the awesome videos.
loving this series, I am playing the game at the hardest mode possible as well as much realistic as I can with cutting some corners here and there :D and loving it.
You need the maize plus mod and the animal feed addon for that mod. And in real life farming is about making money so you should be paying yourself a salary of 50k a year and because you have machines you also have to have insurance for them of something like 5% of the machine value a year. That will mean you need more land because no farm can run on having 3 tiny fields and thats where the field lease mod comes in as a very real thing farmers all over the world have to do. And then there is insurance of the farm buildings i would say about 10k a year for that. And then there is everyones favourite thing wich is tax so you need to decuct 35% of your income every year (because government cant be incompetent for free you know) wich again leads to needing more land and the field lease mod. all because farming is very expensive and you have to have a large production to have a chance to make it. And thats why the number of farms in real life have reduced so much the past 100 years. All the money i mention for tax wage and insurance you can remove with the easy dev conntrol mod as you well know.
Taking that loan, does not make sense to me. Yes, I would also prefer to own the spreader as soon as possible. But, instead of leasing it for 1295 you now pay 2600 every month! While you probably only need it once or twice and surely not in the winter months. Love the series! I'm really glad I don't have to do the seeting myself, even the timelapse was long, LOL!
he will need it every time he wants to plant anything. so he needs it every single year at least if not multiple times a year. he now pays the 2600 for a year and then doesnt pay anything while he would have to pay 1300 + another 1300 for every next time he rents it + still the same price for when he eventually buys it. which makes your choice better i the short run but worse in the long run. and since he plays for the long run it acutally makes sense to just own it because it would get pretty expensive if you had to keep renting it
Loving the series!! (and big fan) I might pose two suggestions if I could: one would be a caution for when you start buying modded equipment, to check the price against what Giants has for equivalent capabilities - for example, it would not be realist to buy a trailer with the same carrying capacity for half the price as a Giants game default. The other has to do with crop and other produce prices. I have no idea what Wheat-by-the-Liter sells for in real life, but it would be nice to see a game difficulty/price setting so it's somewhat close.
The empty silo in front of your shed is a Karma 16. That is a container for seed and mineral feed only. So, probably, there are no seed bags on your farm because you can just fill the silo. Be careful, however: the trigger on this silo is small and not well positioned for some seeders.
What about getting up a firewood cutter and selling it. Keep some yourself and sell the rest, quite some money income there during the winter 😉 Even stay warm during the winter
he knows that. he said it multiple times in the other parts. he also said that he wants to finish this field first before the season for planting is over
You could get the Pro seed mod giving you the ability to add tramlines, helps immensely with being more effecient with fertiliser as you set your tramlines knowing the working width of your spreader
Daggerwin please the gear range (L-M-H) or the second gear stick can only be switched when you are at a full halt, you can not switch from low to high whilst driving, i have a friend farmer that said that, also one of his workers broke his tractor that way😂
Most farmers IRL will not directly seed into a plowed field but will cultivate it first, directly seeding into a plowed field beats your equipment up and would be terrible ground to seeder contact and probably result in poor planting/seeding.
Unless a Mod changed it, stones from plowing should only be small, which can be pushed down by the roller. I did that earlier today. According to Farming Simulator Academy, only the subsoiler leaves behind large stones
lol the comment about you'd never see a farmer put bales in that trailer has obviously never met a farmer lol. Farmers jimmy rig anything and everything to get the job done.
i would like to see alfalfa bc my dad farms alfalfa and soon one day i will also like if giants added pivots. i wonder if they can make it an option to add watering your field like you could flood water it or have a pivot or just wait for rain and if you put your mouse on your field it would show what percentage the water is like if it needs watered or not.Would you like to have that and do you agree with me?
15:45 I learned a new UK expression. In the United States, the thing that you call the "bonnet" is called a "hood." Now I've learned that the thing we call a "hood ornament" is called "that little marker on the end of the bonnet."
Shouldnt you also attach the pallet fork or bale spike/grabber manualy to the telehandler's boom arm? Even on quick attach implements the machine doesnt do it by itself
It feels like you missing out at the second hand market, there are many more mods for older equipment that is just as good also you have something to add more stuff to the second hand market
no? thats a stupid idea considering he just planted a plant that needs a dump trailer when harvested. and in the current situation a flatbad/lowbed/lowloader would be nice to have but not needed as he can just transport bales in the trailer he already has
Hey daggerwin, I farm in real life, Ihave moved bales around in a dump trailer, completely realistic 👍
Same, if we only need to move 2/3 bales we prefer to use the dump trailer as we don’t need to mess around with ropes/straps
@@razzledazzleracing32 I'm glad I'm Canadian, have not had to strap bales once in my life 😂
@@alexkroes6859 Yeah, I'm Canadian too. That's what the middle row on top is for. Other than that take the back roads or go on Sunday lol.
yeah same around my area, you dont want to know what is being moved with things not intended for it
In my area there Is a farmer that put Is bales in a self loading wagon
Loving the longer videos, takes me back to the Haut Beyleron days
Definitely. Longer videos and slower gameplay. It's nice to not have Daggerwin frantically jumping between things and forgetting what he was planning!

Cut the other fields, bale them and sell the bales to get some money in again, remember the price for silage is best in January
What a beautiful view and sunset 😍😍😍😍😍
My only suggestion is we need more videos of this series in a week.

who spotted the flying deer ?
😂 yess
Yes , so realistic.

Yep. I'm a little late to this series. Been busy with life.
Dag, this series reminds me so much of Clarkson’s farm (NOT A HATE COMMENT :) ) but it’s the comedy and first animals are sheep sooo

the seed pallet is in front of the shed where you finished off. orange bags.

Thanks for a really great episode
Guide discs on your seeder are super helpful IRL, you should give them a shot when you’re doing first person stuff you might light it🤷♂️
Fairhead is based on a real area of Northern Ireland on the North Coast, similar area as the North Coast map from FS19
19:11 when you’re driving over that most of that won’t come out
What about getting up a firewood cutter and selling it. Keep some yourself and sell the rest, quite some money income there during the winter 😉 Even stay warm during the winter
To me, the soil sampler is an ideal candidate for rental equipment since you can do all your fields in an hour.
This series is amazing so far!
Thank you so much for sharing!
At 3:34 it is a actually something farmers would do as I have seen multiple go past doing it or the same with seed/fertiliser bags

Hey daggerwin if you do read this I would love to see the survival challenge in fs22 like you did in fs19.

I've just started to work on this map. Still grass work to do too.
a real farmer cultivates after plowing
One of my friends was moving bales around with a dump truck just the other day. I don’t think that’s unrealistic 😂
I really think you should take out a bit more of a loan and get that harvester on the used market
If you get interactive controls, you'll need the nodded tractors that are compatible with it.

Is it just me or does the song used at around 13:10 sound like Fortnight by Taylor Swift? Not completely but one part really does.
Now You just need the lawn Mower and the Weed eater to clean up the pathways, HINT, HINT HAHAHAHAHA
the seed is in the form of a pallet and next to the shed where you keep the drill
I'm just going to assume that, in this series, you replaced doggerwin with kittywin and that it has hay fever from the bailing.
I know you like stars and I found a map that has them. Taheton County 4x.
The seed is in bags on the pallet not the bulk bags you normally use
Shouldnt you also attach the pallet fork or bale spike/grabber manualy to the telehandler's boom arm? Even on quick attach implements the machine doesnt do it by itself
Well yes and no if you put a spoke or fork attachment on it won't involve getting out of the cab but the grab will need the hoses connecting manually
unfortunately manual attach doesn’t allow that
We don't attach the forks and balespike manualy on our tractor??
What was that mod where you can move in the cab to see more, thanks
Hi. Is there any realistic mod that show us the status of the field, if it is wet, moisture or low dried? Would be great to have that
