That comment right there explains how featurism debunks the colorism argument (in this instance). It’s not about the color of the skin. It’s about the features that often comes with it. He’s not exposed to women that are “pretty for a dark skin girl” so his ignorance makes him believe they don’t exist.
When it comes to beauty standards and selection in the dating market, it’s easier to get over skin color. Even hair (texturizm) is easy to mentally conquer. Most of us just gotta work on loving the features. Once we get over that, we’re good as a unit.
