I recognize Lewis' behaviour in men who misplace their frustration about their attraction to a woman who they have no chance with. Pretty girls are ALWAYS hated on, and the way that Lewis was talking so negatively around her is exactly how guys be talking when they're in a group of men. He probably felt so tough going after Ari because he's around his boys and was expecting someone to hype him up. He definitely thinks she's attractive but has a partner already and low self esteem and knows she wouldn't even look his way. I noticed how Lewis was looking at Ari when she sang. He looked disgusted and judgey, looked around, visibly upset that everyone else was giving her props, then changed his tune so as not to be obvious. However he couldnt help his snide "little turbulance" after that before ending it with "thats good though." This tells me he's not a good person. He clearly had a problem with her being a "white" girl (she seems obviously hispanic). And I do agree he was wrong for jumping on her for saying MLK, when:
1. MLK is influential. He literally has a whole day named after him; he's given all the props.
2. He's from US history
3. He was in the last 100 years of US history, unlike Jesus and Lincoln.
4. It was opinion based
5. Sure he wasnt by any means the first, which she admitted she got wrong
6. If youre going to get upset at her for saying hes the first, you better be able to name who is actually the first. Or at least ANYONE else. Or even be able to say "He wasnt the first. I dont know who was but hes not it."

If you can't trust your daughter to run errands, hang out with friends responsibly, and not get into trouble, that is your failure. The question was “who you think has been the most influential person in US, history in the last 100 years.” Jesus wasn’t in the last 100 years, Lincoln wasn’t either. Ary’s answer was the only answer that actually fit the criteria tbh. 2/5 answers were not from the last 100 years, 1 answer was a joke answer, and 1 was Adolf Hitler. I can’t believe how much flack she caught for saying MLK. And the sexism was so not needed. I scrubbed through this video, it made me uncomfortable.
In my personal opinion the Adolf Hitler one was actually a good example. He did terrible terrible things, but it did affect a whole bunch of people and quite a few countries. I'm not disagreeing with you that Ari’s answer was good though, because hers I thought was the second best one. Sure she could've worded it differently or better and she made a few mistakes, but not everyone retains history lessons very well and she did pretty good I thought. All the yelling at her and disagreeing so aggressively was definitely uncalled for

He jumped down Ari’s throat for arguably the most rational/typical answer of MLK jr & he himself couldn’t name a person who came before MLK jr. & the w the debate portion, he didn’t have the intellect to debate something he didn’t agree w hence why his argument was sexist.
