This technique is my go-to. When I do invisible twists, it pulled too much at my hair and damages it. Rubber bands damage my hair too since I always have my hair pulled up in a bun. With the braid then crochet method, the added hair doesn't pull at your natural hair as much and I can do it much faster than all those others. Yours came out nice Sis. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

There is nothing wrong with this method. Don’t let ANYONE discourage you! Your video helped me with my rubberband method twist. Only 2 problems I have is the twist coming loose at the bottom and I’m very particular and crooked parts bother me, but with a house full of boys I’m all alone with that process. Thank you for your very informative videos. They are very easy to follow.

All this time and as much hair as I buy, I never knew or thought to even consider that those hook colors represented different sizes. 🤯 Ive always just used the pink I guess. I’ve even thrown some away because they were piling up. I just checked and I have green, a ton of pink and purple on hand. So good to know. Thanks!!!!! ❤

When I saw the thumbnail for this video I was so glad to you that you did twists! I have several packs of hair and plan to put in Senegalese twists this weekend. Senegalese twists are my favorite. I still like Marley twists too. I used to put those in my hair but it's been years. I didn't know that you'd be doing the braiding at the root and then pulling the hair through with a crotchet hook technique with this. (Chica we gotta find a shorter name for what this is called.) But I have wondered if that would work with twists? I apologize for anyone that left rude comments. I personally have issues with my back (I had my 3rd epidural almost 2 months ago and have had numerous procedures) so my concern was my not being able to hold my arms up long enough to put the twists in properly at the roots. I didn't want then to come undone and need the style to last me at least 5-6 weeks. So I didn't think I could grip it properly due to having a lot of pain. So thank you for doing this! To me this process looked just like what I needed. Again thank you. And both you and your hair are beautiful.

I put in beginner braider and then your channel came up. I just say thank you because I just had a baby. He's 3 months old and then I have a 28-year-old and a 20-year-old so I'm busy with my 20-year-old, not the 28-year-old and the new baby. I haven't had a baby in 20 years so to pay $200 or more for braids is just ridiculous to me. I'm not the type of person to spend a lot of money on my hair so thank you for this. It helps a lot. I am black but I don't really know how to do my hair so this helps a lot. I'm so excited to start but like you I don't have any good Jay. I'm here. I'll use what I have.
