I know every Hank Williams song,Senior and Junior, that’s ever been recorded.Heck,I even had Hank Jr’s first album,a house fire in 1993 got most of my records, but the oldest Jr I have that survived is the album from the movie “Your Cheating Heart “.Hank Jr can do it all,and has done it all. He’s worked his ass off in spite of what some folks think.
I have what I believe is his first recorded piece of music, "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" released on a 45 rpm single on the MGM label. I bought it in 1964 at Thrifty Drugs in Long Beach, California for 98c and couldn't wait for more music like it to follow. Unfortunately, none did. Subsequently, I bought the movie sound track album "Your Cheatin' Heart". My favorite cut is HWJr singing a partial rendition of "I Saw The Light", my # 1 favorite HWSr song. What happened to Hank Jr. after that I couldn't say, but his image and voice just deteriorated when he returned to music full time.

Hank is Bocephus and the Greatest. You put on Hank, you light up the room and get people smiling. I’d love to meet him one day. Maybe cook a pig and have him join us. 👍🏻
Good job Hank Jr, you are a supreme guy! Thanks for never sugar coating and being real.
Got to see Hank Jr on the 13th of May, 2023!! Orange Beach, AL. It was awesome!!
Grew up on Hank and fired up to see his show this Saturday!! He is a legend!! I have never met the man but I bet he is much different if speaking to him one on one. He is real, and would probably rather be fishing or picking than sitting in another interview.
I will be there also Saturday night to see him in Simpsonville South Carolina!!
It should be a great show and I'm looking forward to it!!
What a fascinating individual! Initially on the radio interview I thought he was kind of a jerk.. but seeing this and hearing a different story.. he’s earned to be who he is. Mad respect
No, you were right. Hank is a jerk.
@@keithmorgan742 A jerk that's off his tits on drugs
@@keithmorgan742 I think he can spot a hack right away seeing as how he has done millions of interviews and they always ask the same thing since 1975 he’s getting older I don’t blame him. And I’m pretty sure he is just joking around. I am a grumpy guy who if you saw me on the streets wouldn’t wanna talk to me but once you get to know I’m the absolute most annoying guy because I won’t leave you alone. I’m also not grumpy I just look grumpy. I think Hank has the same problem I do.
The song All in Alabama is great one of my fav’s of anyone not just his. It’s off the album Habits Old & New I bought it at his gift shop in Tennessee the lady told me that’s a good one there. I knew it was that’s why I bought it I liked to wore it out.
been listen to this guy since 1989
Hank jr is such a legend. All in Alabama is one of my favourite songs ever
I lost my brothers in 2008 and met Hank he wrote my mom and dad a touching letter about his father Hank Williams Sr. I met him in a tackle store when I walked up to him and I politely introduced myself to him and said thank you for doing that he immediately talked and opened up he remember the letter and hugged me. Hank is a very good person but This interview was harsh. He shouldn’t make Bocephus re live his trauma from the mountain. No wonder he wanted to walk out. Bobby do better.
The ultimate legend 🙌
Hank and Bobby are complete opposite’s, Hank is real old school country rock, Bobby is a nice guy but he is not country like the old school guys! I knew this was going to be oil and water when I heard Hank was going to be on here which I was surprised he agreed to be on this show to start with!
my same feelings. bocephus is old outlaw country and Bobby bones is new bubble gum country
@@theredneckshow6126 true
I could not agree more? Hank does not take no jive from some preppy looking country? Bumpkin.
This is why I’ve loved Hank for so long. He don’t beat around the bush. Say it like it is. This country needs more of that right now.
Hell yeah Hank ! Thanks for the backdrop on your influence
This was funny as hell 🤣
I thought it was hilarious to. Classic Hank Jr! Lol
Bobby's always gotta smart ass on everyone and everythin it ain't to funny to see that bobby bitch fuckin with Hank for laughs and giggles
Hank’s cantankerous but, he has a right to be. 😉 Bless him! He’s been through a lot in his life but, I would say the last few years have been his hardest. He’s so talented! ❤️
I totally agree with you
Hank is cantankerous, yes, but he also has a huge heart, and he has a very deep soul. He is the greatest of the great for sure.
@@kevinswinyer3176 so true, my heart goes out to him considering it's been a year since he lost his daughter in a car accident and now his wife died. GOD BLESS him.
@@lindavaughn4974 not many can say this, but I am one of very few who has had the luck, privilege, and pleasure of meeting him in person back in the late 80's. He has always had that cantankerous side to him, but like I said, he also has a huge heart, and very deep soul.
@@kevinswinyer3176 that is so cool that you met him back in the 80's
Love me some Bocephus. 45 years of listening to his music. Bones on the other hand makes me dearly miss Gerry House and Carl P Mayfield on the air. You can't fill those shoes.
check out his MGM years his early 70's albums are some of his best Eleven Roses (1972) is one of my favorites of his
I know every Hank Williams song,Senior and Junior, that’s ever been recorded.Heck,I even had Hank Jr’s first album,a house fire in 1993 got most of my records, but the oldest Jr I have that survived is the album from the movie “Your Cheating Heart “.Hank Jr can do it all,and has done it all. He’s worked his ass off in spite of what some folks think.
What about Hank 3? Check it out
I have what I believe is his first recorded piece of music, "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" released on a 45 rpm single on the MGM label.
True artists are hard to find, but they are still out there.
I haven't seen Ole Hank in years! I have to say, "he's aging well. Like a fine wine." As we say in SC lol
Well I gotta say the Legend Hank. Bobby stood right with him.
Like Hank said, "going smoke my cigar and get the hell out of here. I'm done with this shit." Well stated HANK!!! Whoever this pretty boy is giving the interview is a smartass
Love Hank Jr.
This guy is real, honest and a treasure.
He's not here for anyone's BS. ❤
Love Hank! 🇺🇸
living legend will never be topped
Hank is the man!
all in alabama feelin better dinosaur some of the best never released as a single
Absolutely ! Love American Way too !
We love you Hank keep on singing🥰
Love hank seeing him this month in SC absolutely excited
I follow Hank Jr. no matter who interviews him. Hank always comes out on top.
Awesome interview love your music forever legends ❤️🎶🎸🤠
Hank is as real as real can be! 😂 He said “so what” 😂 He didn’t care to be there I believe. Hanks one of the last of the dying breed. Been my hero for a long time!
He's a jerk.
@@keithmorgan742 no he just don't have any respect for Bobby Bones. Other than that he is a straight shooter, don't sugar coat anything type of guy. Last of a dying breed.
@@sshort5427 that's a good thing
@@keithmorgan742 you’re wrong on that. My husband was around him for 13 years. One of the best in the business and very good to his band. He had a rough time all of his younger years with his momma who pushed him to dress and be just like his daddy. He’s the real deal. Blunt and a great guy.
That new album of Hanks sure has some beatin' heart in it!
Go give it a listen. After that I had to que up " you can't judge a book"
New memories folks
I remember the day it came over the radio about Hank falling off of that mountain. I was four years old.
You may have been 4 but you don't remember it on the radio.
@@tray-oq1nj I most certainly do.
@tray4168 ha ha You didn’t know people can remember things from when they were four?
@@acp865 I have trouble remembering yesterday, definitely can't remember 1974 when I was 4.
@@tray-oq1nj You can’t remember it, that doesn’t mean other people can’t remember it
I love Hank Jr
Hank demands all respect and deserves it ,ant got time for no crap.
My goodness, I love me some Hank Jr.
I love Mr. Hank Jr. I’m 44 but I’m an old school county fan….The only newer county artists I like are Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers. I admit I don’t have a clue who this guy Bobby Bones is but it’s clear he is not very knowledgeable on Mr. Hank Jr. and as for Hank being an asshole….aren’t we all sometimes assholes? Hank has been on my mind a lot lately especially since the passing of his wife Mary Jane. Hank and his family were already grieving the loss of his youngest daughter Katie. My heart truly aches for them all.
For anyone not familiar with Hank Jr’s earlier work that often gets overlooked you need to check it out. It’s some of his best music IMO.
I agree. I’m a big fan of his 70s and 80s music. His 70s music was gritty, and I loved it.
Hank for President 2024!
What a legend so much respect for Dan hanging with the icon
Hank Jr. himself is a man that is setting his ways in country music ,he is one of the few founders of prime country though some don't understand Hank Jr. Well he's a diffrent breed of country music he tells it honest from the heart not like Jason Aldean having record executive giving him a song to do mainly 90% of all Hank Williams Jr. Songs are wrote by the man we all know as "Rockin" Randall Hank "Bocephus" Williams Jr. know you're country music before saying anything because I grew up on 70's -90's country having Soul and Heartfelt passion and had a meaning to it
