I think the touch bar can be utilised if you assign the lock button to it, it prevents accidental changes but it is also quick to toggle on. I use it for the magnify function when manual focusing, it is pretty good for that, and I also use the left button to toggle the level gauge on or off. I didn't assign the right button for anything, so I can't accidentally touch that even when it is unlocked. I have put some light blocking material on the EVF sensor, covering about half of it, maybe it is a little bit slower to switch when I put my eye up to it, but that it does not jump anymore, and I don't loose any function buttons. I use the M-Fn button for instant C1-C2-C3 switch (and a fourth mode, if it was selected on the mode button it jumps to that, too), makes it very quick compared to the mode dial, but I can't do anything with the slow photo/video switching.
I use the touch bar for ISO all the time...have never accidentally touched it and screwed sh*t up. I almost bought the control ring to control ISO but the touchbar works for me. I like the MAXIMIZE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS tip though! Just added that to my * button that I never use for both stills and video.
Are there any tips I missed?
Are you going to use any of these?
Interested to hear what you all think 🤘😁
I use the Multi-function button to change Kelvin colors works great
Great ones! I'm gonna change them now.
Awesome!, glad I could help 🤘😀 let me know how you go, interested to see if these are game changers for other people

Those are some amazing tips, I'm stoked to see I'm not the only one customising buttons on the EOS R 🤘
Good stuff!!

I'd love a joystick there, something to switch autofocus points quickly etc but still happy with using the screen.
Thank you for watching 😁
Great tips👍
Thanks friend, glad I could help 🤘😁
