I didn't know Ludington State Park was still open for camping this late in the year, November, I wish I'd of known that, bummer! I've loved Ludington State Park since I was a kid, my family would take a week vacation there just about every couple of years. I have to agree with your wife, it is my "Happy Place " even though I don't use that term, instead I refer to it as "My Place of Serenity " especially sitting on top of the dunes on a clear night at 🌇 sunset, 😊😊😊😎😎😎👍👍👍!!! Well I'll let you go. As always, Thank You for the videos, plz, keep them coming? Thanks again Eric Sulen Grand Rapids Michigan.
There is no insulation. When we went camping in colder temps, we did put Reflectix over the window to add an extra barrier. We also use Hypervent below the mattress. See our cold weather camping video for what we did to stay warmer: th-cam.com/video/Fru7_vavVv0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks so much for the sharing of not only this video, but all your camping trips. I'm hoping to be able to do the same next year as this year (obviously) and last have not been conducive for various reasons. At least I can vicariously enjoy your trips. Safe travels, and above all take care and God Bless 🙏...
Matt, curious (an maybe you could explain over in the Hiker group) what you're doing to secure your Hiker on site when you head into town or drive around.
We do not do any extra security as we are typically in a campground. If someone takes the time to put the awning back in and pack it up, I would hope the other people at campsites near us would notice that it isn't us. Now if we do off grid camping we will need to invest in something.
Easy way, get a long bike cable, go through the wheel and over the axle. If you have an air compressor you can dump the air out of the tires too. Or keep it jacked up and take one wheel with you.
HI MATT 👋
GORGEOUS AREA ! THANK YOU 🙏 BE SAFE ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
Nice video you guys..
Safe travels.
Merry Christmas
Getting our hiker in March 👍
Love your m22 sticker. I’m live about a quarter mile from m22. It’s not just a road it’s a way of life 😁
Thank you .
Love your videos, have a Off Road Hiker coming for May/June Delivery. You guys help sell it really well.

Thanks Eric for the kind words and your memories. Its a great park. More to come.
We love Lake Michigan. We haven’t been up that far north in Michigan before, but now we will! Nice video!
How do you insulate your hiker? They are not insulated

Matt - stupid question for you. Where did you get your Hiker hat? I’ve looked at the Hiker site several times and cannot find any merch.
You could ask on the Hiker Trailer Facebook page - they have had swag on and off.
PA was warm that weekend too. We did the same and headed out for an impromptu comping weekend.

I would contact hiker that had a swag shop on facebook when I bought mine.
Lamin x makes different colored films that you can put over your light, its automotive grade so it would perfect for your light.
wow, great idea will have to look into that. Just afraid of heat issues.
Really like your videos: Two thumbs up! Travel safe out there.
Our last rooftop camping trip was in early November to Lake Wissota in WIsconsin. It was nice, but there's nothing quite like Lake Michigan! Regards.
