He dosn't do a lot of full power, race shifting. he's probably too tense and he's pulling towards himself, so 1-2 is fine, but up to 3 and he's worried about a money shift, and probably bounces off the 1-3 divider, panics and over corrects and hits the 3-5 gate. a burnout shift might be full power, but traction is already gone, so you can just side step the clutch and go It's amazing how wide that that devider between gears feels when you're task saturated
