I'm a firm believer in enjoyment over meta. Bryon was my first S level that I got to mythic plus and I don't regret it. He goes so hard, his damage equals Odie in bosses.
😮 talene is so awesome I really thank the game announcing her but still she needs a lot of investment ! Man we also need more gazes for people in top 20 I am mostly f2p and am no. 8 in arena so the gazes increase from 20 to 22 does not changes things much

A lot of people are iffy on the worth of new champs but with like Florabelle and Talene in particular, they're pretty damn good just about everything. Love to see stuff like that, even though I can't afford Talene since I invested into Reinier
Now that I finished my Reiner, I'm going straight for Talene because she was my first Cel/hypo I pulled in arena years ago!
My Talene (M+) is pushing me into qualification matches on S1 as complete F2P. I was hovering at the Legendary 2-3 range at like 2800-3000 points usually and am now at 3500-3600 points. The matches I am losing right now are mostly because I just don't have a M+ Damian and he is very crucial since my team just can't survive some initial bursts and crumbles within the first 10 seconds.
Once I have her at Supreme I will try using her with Shakir. Talene + Shakir + Damian + Hewyn + Koko looks like a extremely scary comp, that, contrary to popular believe doesn't get hard countered by Scarlita. She is very good for low rank PvP, very good for high rank PvP and used in most mega whale teams on server 1 as well. People are just slowly catching up on how to use her properly. Too many people hard focused on Scarlita being able to knock her out and thus Talene being "useless" against her, which in reality isn't the case since you can very effectively play around it.
As F2P I am so committed to making Talene work, I will get the last Reinier copy for M+ next Thursday and already have L+ Talene with very lucky pulls. So far she worked best in a Wilder or Mauler team for me or even as a counter against Eironn teams at times. Your excitement for her got me to go all in for her instead of the reasonable decisions of Phraesto or Scarlita :D

I certainly agree that it would be ideal if they had some clarification on what they mean by pre-EX. I presume they mean in regards to a fully built team, but then Bryon is a bit of a weird one. I haven't really gotten much benefit from him, though he has caused me some strife when AFK pushing. I might just not know how to best utilize him.
I am a light spender and going all in for Talene (after Reinier M+).. she's very fun to use in all game modes, and i believe she has lots of potential with new anti CC meta heroes and a better season skill
Florabelle is insanely strong and one of the only units that can interrupt Hewynns ultimate without going in to deep, her demolishing Honor Duel shows how hard she hits
I love her design so much, it's fun seeing which characters from afk arena are brought over to journey
M+ Reinier just pushed me up 80-90 spots in Dream Realm server rankings very nuts
I watch your videos everyday! They have always been a reliable source of info for my AFK Journey and bc of that, it's made my F2P gameplay so much better!
Antandra is one of my fav characters, love seeing her up in the top tier 🥰

Birdmam (Bryon) was the first hero I got to supreme+ before having seen any tier lists. He doesnt feel really strong but maybe I’ve been using him wrong

After watching one of your previous videos about re-rolling to get away from the whales, I did just that. I also got a Smokey and 2 copies of florabelle early so I took Cecia off my wish lists. Funny similarities
I think her placements in the Tierlist is pretty accurate. Also, always take into account if a character is Celes/Hypo when comparing it to other characters. Non C/H characters are easier to get, and if another C/H is overall better or has more utility than another, then late game or not, that should be your priority. Especially if you are F2P.
Afk Journey's my first gacha game that I'm surprisingly playing regularly. Thank you for you guide, the bulk summons are so satisfying to do.

Talene is actually pretty high priority in my opinion due to her wide use in endless dream realm
Ngl Ive been following you for many years over various games and I just wanna say I appreciate you for all the content we've gotten from you!
I run Phraesto (p2, ex20), Scarlita (p3, ex 20), Talene (s+, ex 20), Hewynn (p2 ex 15), and Damian (p2, ex 15) for PvP attacking... and this team is darn near God mode.
Glad to finally have Reinier at M+ but now I really want Talene built :')
Given the low income of Stargazers/Guild Coins I am glad Talene is balanced however it does feel old that she's not as metabusting as she was in AFK Arena

First Gacha game I've been playing pretty regularly for the last couple of months. And thank you for the advice, it's been very helpful for me.
I'm still prioritizing Scarlita...4 more copies to M+. I'll keep going to S+. And after I'll go with Phraesto...unless til then new, better stuff comes out.
At least Ludovic is a potential unit to pull for...I hope he doesn't suck.

Man I wish that I could’ve been in server 262 instead of 261 it seems like it’s impossible to get past top 500 in supreme arena because everyone is like 30 levels higher than me and in arena I struggle to maintain top 100 because I have been very unlucky with Vala
I don't know what a giveaway is but I do know that these videos give me as much serotonin as watching cat videos at 3am so that's pretty cool

Talene singlehandely got me up 100 extra afk stages I couldn’t have gotten without her. Rowan, Hewynn, and Smokey keep Talene and Brutus from dying. If Talene can’t finish them, Smokey sure can!
I agree with your assessment with Florabelle. She's just too good and became one of my most used units anywhere!
Cecia and Odie carry me hard in stages pushing before my Eironn, Demian, Arden well built.
My usual comp are: Brutus, Thoran (S+), Smokie (S+), Odie (S), Cecia (S). With gold artifact that can make most backline unit ult very fast.
They carry me to stage 800+. Single and Multi stages. I separate Odie and Cecia in multi.
Surely they will add something that makes me regret saving for then dumping all in on Soren... someday...

Finally got my Reinier to M+ even though I really wanted Phraesto/Talene. Now I just have to grind those stupid essences to get his weapon up. Also Thoran still refuses to come home lol

Florabelle was one of the reasons it took me so long to build Cecia. Like, even after getting Cecia to S+ I barely use her and I always use Florabelle instead.

Talene has been great at single copy. Hope the next hype celhypo isn’t for a while, going to take a long time to get her to m+(or s+ for ex +15) and only just got Reinier m+ the week before talene dropped…

It's still funny to me the comments on the units say Thoran and Dahnie are the two top tanks, but Antandra is above both of them, not to mention Brutus being higher than Dahnie.
Theres actually an interaction with talene to where she won't get knocked off the field if scarlita just straight up kills her with her ult. And most are using shakir as a front line so that scarlita drops on him leaving talene safe to roast.
Reinier built up and the other ones just epic. As F2P its way too hard to get celestial/hypogeans which is why there is no way to get the new ones to m+ in the near future
Playing afk journey is pretty hard now and i dont have anything to do. Wishing for more events. 😢

Scarlita is like magic the gathering remove from game effect instead of a send to graveyard lol, but I think she should be lower on the tierlist a little because she will lose her seasonal skill in a couple months, reducing her strength in dream realm
Even though she might not be the best I'm still gonna pull for her since I like her design and kit a lot

If AFKJ releases a character that can bestow CC immunity to an allied unit thennnnnn Talene would probably destroy almost everything.

Just started a new account roughly 3 days ago with a Seth carry and using almost all off meta heroes. Honestly been extremely enjoyable and I’m happy to see this game does allow this freedom without taking away the fun
so then all your heroes are meta except for your carry 😂
