- Chatchai Market is a popular morning seafood and fresh market in Hua Hin for Thai and non-Thai tourists. The market was construct from reinforced concrete with the 7 connecting half-circle roof to indicate that it was built in the reign of King Rama VII.
It has been the famous market that was built in 1953, the reign of King Rama VII. With the popularity of Hua Hin growing for tourists as well as the popularity of the area for the Thai royals the late Thai king ordered it to be constructed since it was near the royal palace.
Located in the heart of Hua Hin, Chatchai Market is a lively and bustling marketplace offering a wide range of products. It’s open from 5am to about 3pm. It’s a great way to shop for fresh food as well as experience a bit of Thai culture.

This is a fun market. It’s right next to where the Hua Hin Night Market is held. Here is the video I made of there if you want to see what it’s like.

Nice walk about video, Thanks
@@joezip6389 glad you enjoyed it. I always like walking around places like this. Markets are fun since you get to see how the locals do things.
Very interesting be there next week thanks
@@desmcleod2604 thanks for watching! I hope the weather isn’t too bad when you get here. It’s rainy season so it could be a bit wet when you get here. We were lucky and had good weather but it has rained for 2 days after we left.
20 years ago my wife was working there.
@@marketsqueezer wow that’s amazing. I was reading that Hua Hin is planning on doing a complete restoration to it in order to modernize it. Not sure when that will happen but one of these days it will be changed.
@@endlessjourneytravels At that time she was young and for me she still is. Anyway, we have been talking about where to move to Thailand if we want to get away from Denmark and so far Hua Hin is on the top. I like Chiang Mai too, but a very difficult choice.
@@marketsqueezer there is a large expat community in Hua Hin which is nice but prices have went up a lot as well. Cha-am, Chomphon, PKK and Surat Thani would all be nice. Not as crowded with access to the beach. If I moved out of Bangkok I would be looking at those areas.
🇵🇸❤️❤️❤️
@@TranceEk-f4u thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
The low framerate on the camera is nauseating
@@bushwickbillOG I shoot everything in 60fps in 4K. Not sure what the issue is. Must be with TH-cam.
