- Many face the problem of a seized tank. This can be a big hassel like it was for me.
I came back to it after the day and tried wrapping rubber bands on either end to aid with the grip.
It finally worked!
Note: remember to wash the tank after opening to

I was using rubbers on the one side. Then I saw your vid, then decided to use rubber bands on the other side as well. Boom! thanks man

Rubber gloves works better, make sure tank is clean, dry and free of any vape juice for maximum grip.
If the rubber glove are the kind used for was washing pots make sure they're bone dry too for better grip

Dang the two rubber bands did the trick. I tried gloves with rubber padding along with two jar openers, heating the base in water, and it wasn't until finally using a rubber band on top and bottom that it opened. I started some small cracks in the glass around the base of the Zeus tank, but I'll probably get another one soon since I've had it for at least 3 years. Still can't figure why I'm getting an atomizer short though, which prompted me to start opening it back up. These new Zeus Z coils have not been as good as they used to be over a year ago, I've written to Geekvape about them also and gotten replacements.
I tried the same exact thing..., rubber gloves and a jar opener.. but didnt work. THIS DID THE TRICK! thanks @bashrath1
My problem was, turning the lid, also made the internal shaft in the middle turn, which would unscrew the base from the tank, and the lid seal was tighter than it. I ended up having to put the damn thing in a vice to hold the tank in place while turning the lid with a wrench. Luckily the manufacturer improved the design in later models, some of the early ones were a real pain to get into.

i know you get this alot, but holy shit it worked, i was abit hesitant because it didnt work the first time till i added the second rubber band on both sides and barely used half the strength it had taken me to try and failed in the first go

Mine is SOOO FKN STUCK. Ive tried that, ive tried heat, I've tried ice or freezing it. I have the steam crave aromamizer, and it's the medium-sized one. I have the lrg one 2 but its at my dude friends house and he lives 2 hrs away and i dont feel like driving 2 hrs away for a vape thingy.. ( i 4get what theyre called haha)
sometimes its fine to open but always gets stuck in the middle for a sec but i can get it off. The bottom piece is what im talking about. I CANT UNSCREW THE bottom piece rn for the life of me because i know it's dethreaded or however you say that. But USUALLY i can get it off even w/it beimg dethreaded, except for this time, and not the last time, but the 2nd 2 last time I had to recoil & rewick. Rn i just need to rewick, BUT it's absolutely useless at this point in time cuz of how stuck it is and how painful my blistered finger is rn lmfao. 😵💫🤬💀😭🤣 I cant move it AT ALL. I HAve this old school rubber hand that is used to open jars that my G-ma has had for yrs so ive tried using that, which USUALLY works, but this time its insanely stuck, and i even have a blister on my finger from trying to turn it so much to no avail, along with my thumb and pointer finger also being iseverely soar thst feels i burned my fingers on a fire Lmao😂 It sucks cuz atm its my ONLY vape I have. Ive tried the rubberbands, Ive tried just rubber, Ive tried that rubber hand, Ive tried getting it super cold & super hot. I cant get one piece hot and the other cold which is what I want to try because Im afraid of shattering the glass from the temp changes lol. The last time it got this stuck, I had to wait for my hand to heal, and I randomly tried it again another day after it healed and it opened way easier lol. i even lubricated it hoping for the next time 2 be easier, which worked when i rewicked last time,, but this time now, its just unavoidable and wont open AT ALL. I let my hand heal once already but now i have a blister from trying to turn it so much. I've tried to oil it up in whatever crevace there is but nothing is making it thru. Lol i fear its a gonner now. Lmfao WHICH WOUlD blow huge donkey sacs since its my only one rn and I dont have another piece to use for my mod. I always 4get what the other one is called ( the one thats stuck) my aromamizer.. what the name for that is called lmfao not the mod but the ?? Eeerrmm?? Lmao MY adhd prevents me from remembering a lot of things 😂

Not working. I’ve tried everything. I tore up a shirt, scratched my tank, and cut my finger trying to twist it off… tried the rubber bands, won’t budge. I’m pissed off. Can’t put a new coil in my tank.. it’s a uwell nunchuku btw

In some of the replies it was suggested to use rubber gloves like the type used for washing dishes. Also try warming the tank in some warm water. Metal will expand a little so it could be enough to get the threads unstuck.
If all else fails and you don't mind some scratches you could brute force the tank apart with pliers or a clamp or something that can get a good bite on it.

Try soaking it in warm water for a while then try after. Sometimes the threading can be too seized up so expanding the metal with some heat could make it work.

Never knew that! The silicon bands seemed pretty slippery on the metal but il have to try it if im in this situation again. I was under the impression they were for protecting glass tanks in case they fall.
@@bashrath1 Hi Bashrath 1. I was told by one of the big Reviewers! I thought that the Vape Band's were for protection towards the glass! He told me that he was told by one of the Vape Companies that they were for extra friction when unscrewing the tanks from the mods (the first Band's that SMOK bought out work the best IMO)! I've since tried it and it does work as long as the Vape Band has NO VAPE JUICE on it and dry! They work best if warmed up slightly. Vape Companies should inform their customers, because they are just using them for decoration or to protect the glass! Or the companies should include substantial grip machined into the tank in it's design!
I have lost count the amount of time's that I have given myself blisters on my fingers when trying to take the tank apart... Then Red Hot CINNAMON juice in the busted blisters... Ooooouch! Some of the Bands work better than others, once you find a Band that works don't let it out of your sight lol. S

Qxjnx • 39 years ago nah a fork works u just bend 3 of the things at the top the fork (don’t know the name of them) and then put the last one in the airflow and twist
@@scorpion9063 hey! Sorry for the late reply but id try using the same tactic. Rubber band around the base of atomizer and twist, you cant get a good grip on it then use the rubber band with a paper towel over it (to prevent damage) and use pliers to grip.
