Wow ! That's not a car, its a Morgan :) Most of the Morgan is wood. If that's also restored it was hand made by a carpenter and that's the weak spot on these. And the most complicated to restore since it falls apart as you take it off. It looks amazingly done !! These cars are still hand made in a shed in U.K. I would have left the mirrors by doors and taken off the bumpers :)
First of all the Morgan is NOT mostly wood. Only the frame work for the body is wood. The chassis and most of the car is steel or aluminum. Secondly, the car is not built in a shed. It's built in a factory that been used to build Morgans for a century.
@@mogmaker You sound offended , Im very sorry. I've rebuilt 2 and the wood has been the most challenging but of course you are right, its not mostly wood. I was in the factory back in the 80s and I remember 3 huge sheds. Im sure by now its a modern up to the latest facility as reflected by their cars. The idea of sheds and older English gentlemen in white coats holding tea cups, building this very same car by hand, using wood and mostly steel and/or aluminum remains in my head. Id rather not know about the modern facility, thank you. Im sorry if my exaggerated comment offended you. Im nothing but love for these cars and the way they were made back then, I can't yet afford one but I know them better than most of the people who can :)
@@bridiewhip Cool man. This was over a year ago but ok. Youve made your point. Now look up a 60s Morgan wood photos. Im not allowed to post links. The whole structure of the cockpit and rear end is wood. It has a thin lawyer of painted steel on top which is what you see. Now search Morgan Factory 1970s or 80s, big sheds, barns surrounded by green. But not a car factory like the ones you might have seen in Detroit. Now turn it around and notice that what I was saying wasnt meant to offend but to compliment. Peace !

Thanks for the info. While this car went through a complete restoration, we have pictures of the wood being replaced :D
