Actually the Good Samaritan that found her kept her. He wasn't a cat guy but now he is. The kitten has bonded to him like he is his mother. in fact, his wife Paula calls him Joe mamma. His first name is obviously Joe. Good ending to the bad start.
furter189 The adult flies can be food for frogs and such, but the larva is a parasite that is largely out of harms way once it burrows into a host. Only time they're really vulnerable is when they burrow out at maturity and pupate on the ground. Dunno if the pupae are a food source for some animals.

It’s really good the kitten is mad If she was unresponsive without being sedated I’d be much more concerned to how much damage has been really done. But the fact she’s feisty shows she’s gonna get better quickly. Buuut it will definitely take a ton of food to win back her love lol.

Have seen some where the vet seems more interested in doing a funny reaction for the video to go on the internet , prodding & poking, changing the angle/position a dozen times making the suffering of the kitten last much longer than it ought to.
That's what I thought too. Poor kitty, in so much pain she actually learns English to let people know just how unhappy she is. So glad we get to see updates seeing her grown up and healthy.

Have seen some where the vet seems more interested in doing a funny reaction for the video to go on the internet , prodding & poking, changing the angle/position a dozen times making the suffering of the kitten last much longer than it ought to.

That's what I thought too. Poor kitty, in so much pain she actually learns English to let people know just how unhappy she is. So glad we get to see updates seeing her grown up and healthy.

Thank you for helping this poor little kitty. The people commenting have no idea what they are talking about, I'm sure none of these people are vets!! So ignorant. So many would have put the poor girl to sleep. You are a very kind man. Thanks for answering all these comments as well.
