I believe the round area was the original showroom when the Tropicana was built but I can't figure out the rectangle area
So many basements and sub basements. I wonder where the vault used to be?
I hope they keep that Tropicana sign up.
They won't
It will be one of the last things to be demolished.
New resort and stadium opening January 25 2028
the yellow metal building where I used to work is the only thing left standing
I feel bad for all the Tropicana workers that lost their job.
Quite a massive undertaking to bring all that down. I'm curious about the round basement structure... Was that part of the original structure from the 50's. I remember seeing a round building between the 2 bungalow wings in the older pictures and there is a rectangular area on the site.... Was that the remains of an indoor pool?
I believe that was the Havana Room which eas used for conferences and events like weddings, etc...
the rectangular area looks actually to be what's left of the Robert Irvine restaurants basement level
@@UVDroneServices i think that the Havana room was further out past this. This looks like its an area that connects the main entrance/casino to the bungalow wings. Looking at pictures it had slots in the center of it and hallways/stairs/escalators off it on both sides of it. Before the towers were built, it is in pictures. I wonder what its purpose was back then
Possibly. I hadn't been inside the Trop for a couple decades. I was just making an educated guess by the shape, some old maps and from some pictures using Google Search.
Tore this down so we could have another loser from Oakland here...They ought to plant cactus and leave it a desert landscape...
