@@brimarie4196 I think you've made an error there. She said it takes her 15min to transcribe 1 day (for all 10 years at once). So ~2hrs per week. So to do the whole year, 104hrs. So that's ~2.5 weeks working for 40hrs.
I gave birth to my son on the 17th of Feb 2022, thank you for sending positive labour and birth vibes instead of remembering to do your 1 second a day video xox
it makes me happy that you're enjoying His Dark Materials - i had my baby in June 2022, and that was the project my partner was working on (we're animators) during my pregnancy and in the first few months after parental leave! it got us through 😂
You are the only person on TH-cam who I can truely relate you. The amount of thought and organization you put into your life is similar to me. I know when Hannah puts a goal video up, it's gonna inspire me. Versus other goal videos which are "drink more water". The way you talk openly and matter of fact about the details of your struggles is so lovely. Gosh, you're just my fav.
Yes, same! Even if I don’t want to set the same things as goals, seeing your reasoning behind things is always interesting! Also, you video of home stretch goals really inspired me last year to try and stop procrastinating some things I needed to get done before the year was over.
i am ALSO a Watch Later user and I have no idea how I coped without it. I watch so much more and lots of variety. such a treat to get some down time and hit shuffle on that Watch Later playlist and just fester on the sofa.
Re pelvic floor; i feel you. I have similar issues and it took a long time to resolve (and similarly i found it hard to do the exercises). I found the exercises easier to do once kiddo was in their own room, and now sex definetely looks different for me now. I also had a super supportive partner but for us it is still hard to prioritise sex. We both enjoy it, but with time so precious it gets pushed further and further down the list. So instead we commit time for skin-to-skin, obligation free contact time to feel close without the pressure/expectation of penetration. That really helped. I'm looking forward to your videos on this topic in the future because not everyone talks about their knotty vaginas!
I completely get the friction about setting time for pelvic floor exercises. In my experience, the hardest part is getting started. The way I did it was to place a yoga mat near the bed and sit on it every evening after getting into my PJ's. I would start with a couple of stretching exercises before proceeding with the actual exercises recommended by the physio. I find stretching calming and it brings your attention to your body and to how it feels, I found it was a good way to get in the mood for the less exciting stuff.
I'm living at home with my parents and don't have children or anything, but still totally relate to wanting to be more intentional with evening time! For me it's the time after my and my parents' work days over until bed time. I find myself scrolling on my phone as my parents watch cable news so often, which is not what I actually want to be doing with my time! The Storygraph January challenge of reading at least a page each day has helped give me some purpose and direction to decide that I'm going to read in the evening if I haven't read that day yet.
As a regular parkrun runner and volunteer, I'd love to hear if you do go back to your local one this year! Your 'surgery to 5k' series was one of the first things I saw from your channel
16:00 Fascial Counterstrain therapy helped me tons more with pelvic pain and relaxation than pelvic floor therapy did, but I also have an idea for scheduling at-home exercises: On days like today, when you're home alone and baby at childcare, how about doing your exercises over a relaxing lunch break? Three times a week is better than none. It may be something you can do 5+ times a week, with different opportunities. What parts of your existing routines are flexible or variable, but you still naturally gravitate toward doing them regularly? Maybe you can duplicate that mindset or setup. Edit: Hmm, wait: Dan works from home, but that's in the second room, right?
Happy new year! Honestly watching you is always a soothing treat. I feel like you're living my life two years ahead of me - I'm a freelance Jewish woman with a chronic illness thinking about having kids soon and having just gotten married. It's just so lovely to see you thrive and gives me a lot of hope.
So lovely to hear that you’re feeling confident in your skin Hannah! I love that you feel empowered to choose not to wear make up in your videos. Choosing to wear make up is also great of course but I have really appreciated seeing someone on TH-cam/Instagram break that mould and feel comfortable with their bare face - it’s certainly helped me be more accepting of mine! ♥️
Back carry was a game changer for me with my first baby. I am also a short torso, short girl who had a string bean of a kid. By 6 months her feet were almost banging my knees in forward carry. On my back she could see more (which she liked) and it was more comfortable for me.
Ohh intentional evenings. My daughter is 2 and has stopped napping so my evenings are pure wipe out and staring aimlessly at the TV. But she goes to bed at 6pm and I go to bed around 10pm so I've literally made myself a rota. My husband and I also have a rota because our relationship was suffering a bit. It sounds crazy to many but we carve out Monday and Thursday evenings for spending time together - TV show we want to watch, dinner at home date night, board game, intimacy, whatever we're feeling but it's phones down together time 6:30-8:30. Sunday night is our moving night. Friday is my evening off where I can only be called in an emergency. He has Saturday night off. If we have a date it's on a Friday or Saturday daytime so we don't feel like we're giving up that break time. Then Tuesday and Wednesday are whatever. It's actually been working brilliantly for the last few months to help us both feel like we have a balance.
Hey Hannah, thanks for the delicious goal setting video. I know resolutions aren't for everyone but I LOVE IT. The thoroughness of your goals please me so much. Some of my goals are to; graduate, move out, change to an ethical bank, and buy my fruit and a veg from a local grocer rather than the supermarket. I also just wanted to say that I really enjoyed how you were doing different things/in different places that related to the goals you were taking about. I love a sit down vid but I appreciate you spicing it up!
I highly encourage the work reading! I’ve started doing it with my new job this year and it’s been so good. The thing that helped me was when I’m working and feeling unmotivated (but don’t have big deadlines), I’ll take the time and read instead of starting at my computer. I feel like brain brain just soaks it up in those moments, but I also feel productive well doing something a little more restful.
11:30 How about putting a couple TBR books or games on a shelf - or in a basket or tub baby can't open - by the sofa, maybe under a cozy lamp with welcoming glow, so whenever you and Dan crash on the couch, your goal is visible and literally within arm's reach? Updating the shelf/bin could be part of packing lunch or diaper bag routine.
I don't really make resolutions but my focus this year is building a bond with and training my pup. She came home the first day of Hanukkah (coincidence, we'd been on the wait list for quite a while) and i want to help her become the besr grown up dog she can be. I'm not perfect but it's a lot of work to introduce a pup to the world and get them comfortable with grooming and going to puppy class and vet appointments/spay. I'm really this first year doing a ton of foundation for her whole life but it's a lot of work both with her and admin to track all the paperwork and appointments and such too. And yard work/cleaning. She took such an interest under our deck so we had to fence it off. She ate a stick which could have been really dangerous so i have to comb the yard and make sure there's no sticks left. It'll slowly settle down, she's 4 months in a few days but that's really my only goal or focus for the year is setting her up for a long healthy and happy life
I love that you watch youtube the same way as me! I feel like everyone should use the watch later and watch youtube this way, it's really the way that makes the most sense to me!
I started writing my 23 for 23 list which includes traditional resolutions and goals. We’re on day 19, and I’ve still not finished! I have some big life changes ahead in this year, so it’s really hard to think about navigating the whole year. Parenting definitely makes resolutions challenging, so I feel you there.
Love that you feel confident without makeup! And thank you for sharing so openly about your pelvic floor issues. Best of luck with the exercises and your other resolutions. :)
Exciting resolutions! Always love hearing your goals, they help me set some good ones for myself as well. Quick tip, but please forgive me if I’m intruding 😅 not sure if “manually“ transcribing your journals is also therapeutic for you, sounds like it to me, but if it isn’t, you can always take pics of the pages with your iPhone, select the text option on the bottom right and copy and paste the text to wherever you want it to go 😊
Oh yes, keeping little humans entertained at home is hard! My 6 months old loves watching other people (especially kids) and being out in nature, which is wonderful but also means no chill home days for us at the moment. I used to feel unsure about when to start day care but am now very glad for both of us that he started going part-time.
Lol @ butt pellets. I was trying to see what the medication was to see if it's the same I have, so I watched that bit at 0.25x speed and it sounds hilarious that way. About dreading the full days: babies will explore and learn on their own, you don't have to provide them with stimulation all the time. The wind, the street sounds, the shadows on curtains, the sounds their toys make, are all interesting to them at the right age. At least that's what they tell me. It's still daunting to have a kid home all day, especially when they're ambulatory but not old enough to want to do their own thing.
Back carrying is a game-changer!! I carried my son until he was 4 and it was brilliant. It takes some practice at first but you'll get the hang of it. There are loads of helpful videos to follow
I think it is really worth noting that progesterone contraception can cause vaginismus type symptoms and pains! I tried everything, saw tons of specialists, and getting off that contraception was the only thing that fixed it. Ended up having to go on it again recently and the symptoms immediately came back. So definitely worth investigating as basically no one seems to be aware of this. Also I'm always so impressed with your planning and how much you actually do things 😂 my chaos brain could never!
Pelvic floor: if the internal exercises are painful, I'd suggest doing them on your own with the device, so you don't associate pain with PIV. If the muscles relax after doing the exercise, then you could try PIV afterwards.
I had to pause the video to say I am loving it. I love your organization and resolution videos. I finally went and looked up notion too and I think I’ll take some time later to really plan out my goals for this year on it. Looks really neat! Thanks for always providing some inspiration :)
It's almost ridiculous how much you and your content inspires me. You are honestly the most authentic person on youtube I know and your videos feel like such a safe space. You're so smart and honest I have no doubt that you've had a very positive impact on a lot of people. Thank you so much for your work! I really can not express how much I appreciate the variety of content and your open minded views on topics like polyamory, adhd, health, sexual identities, sexuality and so so many more. Thank you.
I love how detailed this video is about your goals and how you will achieve them. It inspires me. I can’t believe you made a schedule of how long it would take you to transcribe your journals. It’s great !
Love this so much! The level of organisation is thrilling! Also might add "watch TH-cam" to my own intentional evening routine 😅 other than that I just have to navigate selling a flat and changing jobs with a 9 month old in tow. So quiet year then 😄
I'm always telling myself to make a dent in my watch later playlist as well but it just keeps growing 😂 A lot of videos seem to appeal to me when I don't have time to watch them and then once I do want to watch something and I scroll through the playlist suddenly none of those videos seem as appealing anymore. Especially as I go through phases of different topics being interesting.
Loved the format of the video ❤ and I really feel you in the intentional evenings, it’s SO hard to actually refuel when you’re really exhausted from the day and putting baby to bed (fellow parent with a 1-year old)
No idea if this is helpful, but I did a lot of my internal wand-work in the bath! The water sort of washes away lubricant which can be problematic, but I felt it helped me relax and really work on some super sore spots.
I really enjoyed the filming of this video! all the different locations were fun and transitioned so nicely. it must be a lot of extra work but I definitely stayed more engaged than I might normally when its just sit and talk to a camera
Just a comment relating to the carrier. Awesome, yes absolutely get confident with the carrier! However, as your mum days are now just mum days, this will apply. My daughter started properly walking at 13 months and at 14 months we were going on walks with her walking. It started down alleyways and in fields. By 18 months she was going on actual walks holding my hand on the side of very quiet roads. My daughter is now 2 years 3 months and can comfortably walk 2 miles in one go, 2-3 times a week. She walks without holding hands on the side of a road, busy or no, with obviously me right next to her. She's had the boundary from day 1 that if she doesn't follow instructions she gets put in the buggy/carried and there isn't another chance. She's attempted to run off twice in the last year. It's made our life incredible to be honest and it's given her so many more opportunities to build her physical development which the health visitor recently commented on. Just felt relevant as you walk a lot! Edit: I think it's also helped her sleep because she's using up so much of that toddler energy and is having so much fun outside (she'll walk the half mile to the park, play on everything at the park for an hour and then walk home) that she needs a really good 13 hour sleep. When we're not getting out she definitely has worse sleep.
Thank you for making me feel better that my watch later is at 344. My husband constantly laughs about it. I have specific channels that I'll move their videos up to the top and intersperse them with lower priority vids.
I've kept a diary for decades, now all in a diary program and it's honestly one of my most treasured things to be able to look back at life as memory can't be trusted. When I was transcribing my old paper ones it made me feel much warmer towards myself about the progress I've made as a person. It's a lot of work, but worth it! Incidentally cannot recommend idailydiary by splinterware enough! Secure, easy to use, searchable, can be backed up wherever. Lifesaver!
I always love watching your goal/resolution based videos. The intentionality that you approach your life with is inspiring! Thanks for sharing! Also if your 10year diary writing is clear enough you can copy paste the text from your phone by taking a picture of the page (at least on iPhones) it might help make some of it a bit faster. But of course sometimes the act of sitting down and typing it allows you to spend that 15min sitting with the memories.
i’ve had the one second every day app on my phone for about 18 months now and have yet to get round to actually using it but i should get on that because i loved watching my bereal recap
This is making me think I should get on BeReal because I've also had the 1 second a day app but not kept up with it. While I'm generally wary of more social media for me to get lost in, maybe BeReal is the answer!
Front carry is SOOO much easier. I always hated back carry (and never with them forward facing). Basically they are "sitting" in the carrier so their head shouldn't go over yours. I carried mine that way well into toddlerhood. Lots of youtube videos!
I have a "Listen to later" playlist on youtube as well, where I put all the videos that I think will be suitable to just play in the background while I do other stuff, so that the ones in my "Watch later" will be videos where I probably will have to focus on the screen a lot more. It has worked quite well, only problem is that the I have like 400 videos in "Watch later", because I rarely have time to just sit down and WATCH youtube videos lol
One of the most beautiful (art wise and story!) memorable children's books i read when i was younger is called the Angel and the Soldier Boy,, i think youd love it look it up!! xx
💡Idea for transcribing your diaries. 💡Why don't you do it via some voice to text tool? It would be much faster I feel. You can even just use Google translate as it's voice to text feature is pretty good.
Love those goals! Want to steal the one second everyday thingy - starting tomorrow as it happens to be my birthday! Hoping that I’ll stick to it 😂 Good luck on your goals Hannah :)
Where did you get your jumper from? It's really cool and suits you a lot. Can't wait to see what new content you have for 2023 and I wish you all the luck for your new years resolutions/goals x
I am on year 9 of the one line a day diaries and would also like to transcribe them (just in case they get lost / damaged). What are you inputting them into when you transcribe?
I have the pelvic floor wand as well, it wasn’t something that worked for me with my vaginismus but i have almost that exact one. There are so many other things about pelvic floor physical therapy and all of that that I would love to chat about one day because it’s a huge unknown and taboo subject when it comes to sex health
I work in data science, and I don't know where you're putting the diary transcriptions, but if you'd like to do something with them please don't pick Notion but put it in a csv / excel file or something :) Honestly I love Notion as much as you but I don't know how well you can export their tables.
Many resolutions that are made if they are too specific fail because they are like losing so much weight or other, open ended "goals" which are connected to previous events (not 'cut off' from the previous years of your memory and life/experience) are more likely to be a success.. Like your April 30 resolution- as long as you know that may not be possible you will not stress as much should it strech beyond that point: and planning will help you stay on top of it to finish it..
Hi, Hannah! I just recently found your channel so forgive me if you've talked about this before, but I would reccomend you read the book atomic habits. It's on youtube on audiobook and it's only 5 ish hours long, there is some good advice about how to reduce that friction that you talked about when you mentioned your exercices. Hope everything goes well!
Damn, I was so excited about the sponsor! Why do I have to be a UK resident to be able to buy from them? 😭 Hope you'll keep working with Skin & Me and they'll broaden their reach.
Hi, could you please tell me the brand of your beautiful rust sweater? Stitch fix isn't available in my country and I can't find it no matter what I search for.
I have 1384 videos in my watch later lol (1383 now I've watched this one!) my parents had a baby carrier for me but it kept giving me motion sickness so I think they kept it like 2 weeks haha awkward since day 1
"You might be thinking, Hannah - you need to crack on with transcribing" ... No I'm thinking "Hannah, rest yourself god damn it! Scroll on that phone. Kick your feet up. Give your brain a break." 😂
Having had vaginsmus , the best time for me was in the shower as the door was locked (no other places had a lock and so felt anxious of a family member walking in) and i was relaxed . Ovbs if you start to insert things need lots and lots of lube (shout ou5 to ky jelly) as in the shower it washes away natural lube. Good luck:)
@@morehannah Fair! They do lots of confidential documents though, medical and national security. You can probably find someone that makes you comfortable. But it’s your time!

For anyone else interested, I have found the Day One app which has a “on this day” feature when you can see what you wrote on that day in the previous years
I'm wondering if you could make your pelvic exercises a part of your work schedule, since you're a sex educator. You could do videos discussing the exercises while doing them (clean cut so we're not seeing anything you don't want to show, of course) or do before (prep) and after (results discussion) videos, or whatever you're comfortable with, so you're actually taking work time to do the exercises while Rowan's away at day care and you don't have to feel weird about it with him there (and you can edit anything you feel weird about sharing out of the videos). So it'd be win-win. Not a solution 99% of women could do, but eh, since it's an option for you, why not? Schedule 30 min a day or whatever to do the exercises, discuss proper procedure and benefits, precautions, how it feels, pros/cons (any benefits/issues you notice), etc. Experiment - does listening to music help with the exercises? Try out different positions. Whatever. Make it an explorational journey you can share as part of your work. Just a thought. Here's wishing you a happy, safe, and healthy 2023! :)
Hannah, if you haven't already got this in your TH-cam watch list 🫣 check out Maggie Baldwin @letstalkIBD she has several videos about her experience with pelvic floor therapy and she is a fellow ostomate.
For your diary
If your writing is pretty clear, you can use a text extractor
Take a picture of the page, run it through the text extractor, proofread the text and poof you're done
It might help you cut down on the time it takes you to transcribe
Also voice to text transcription is getting pretty good now if your handwriting doesn't convert easily.

Audio books are a lifesaver for a reading parent with their hands full. You can do so much stuff while reading.
You should create a 1 second a day account for Rowan! What a fun memory of him growing up!
2023 Year of the habit getting! I want to get some habits in as well.
I really enjoyed the filming of this video! all the different locations were fun and transitioned so nicely. it must be a lot of extra work but I definitely stayed more engaged than I might normally when its just sit and talk to a camera
Hannah, before you start your watch later playlist, I suggest checking out Leena's latest book vlog and review on "Spare." 👍
I do the same thing with the watch later Playlist, and here I am 4 months later catching up with like 300 videos in my list 😂 so funny
We have park runs here in Australia, too! An old friend of mine and I tried it once, but I DEFINITELY did NOT have the fitness level for it.. :P
I love your resolutions videos! They always give me inspiration for my own resolutions :)
Thanks for telling about the 1 second a day app, that sounds like a great idea!
Thank you for making me feel better that my watch later is at 344. My husband constantly laughs about it. I have specific channels that I'll move their videos up to the top and intersperse them with lower priority vids.
304 here lol
But of course sometimes the act of sitting down and typing it allows you to spend that 15min sitting with the memories.
i’ve had the one second every day app on my phone for about 18 months now and have yet to get round to actually using it but i should get on that because i loved watching my bereal recap
the bereal recap was excellent
This is making me think I should get on BeReal because I've also had the 1 second a day app but not kept up with it. While I'm generally wary of more social media for me to get lost in, maybe BeReal is the answer!
Front carry is SOOO much easier. I always hated back carry (and never with them forward facing). Basically they are "sitting" in the carrier so their head shouldn't go over yours. I carried mine that way well into toddlerhood. Lots of youtube videos!
Hannah, try using the voice to type accessibility function to transcribe faster :)
Where do you buy your 5-year diaries from?! I want to do this when I turn 30!
I feel like you would enjoy aquasize or aquafit classes. They are gentle but a lot of fun and in the pool :)
My watch later playlist has 5000 videos (which, as I found out, is the limit) so you're doing good comparatively 😅
I use my watch later exactly the same as you do!
Glad I’m not the only one with a super long Watch Later playlist!! Although mine is at 648 videos oops…
I'm about to put my resolutions to paper right after finishing this video!
Damn, I was so excited about the sponsor! Why do I have to be a UK resident to be able to buy from them? 😭 Hope you'll keep working with Skin & Me and they'll broaden their reach.
Currently have 3211 videos in my WL playlist soooo... i feel ya😆
HANNAH!!!! Can you please link where you purchase your journals?????
I love how numbered it is and would like one similar
We have park run in Australia too!
I aspire to be as organised as you are! Do you have a video how you go about it?
Hi, could you please tell me the brand of your beautiful rust sweater? Stitch fix isn't available in my country and I can't find it no matter what I search for.
Thanks
I have 1384 videos in my watch later lol (1383 now I've watched this one!) my parents had a baby carrier for me but it kept giving me motion sickness so I think they kept it like 2 weeks haha awkward since day 1
You should do a comprehensive post about what youtubers your currently following
Ooh baby barre sounds so interesting and cuuuuuute
Oo I’d love to know where you get those 5-year diaries!!
Waterstones sell them
Amazon, eBay!
Only 315 on your watch later playlist? I've maxed mine out, multiple times 😅
Leaving a comment for the algorithm
Heh my "watch later" has over 2 thousand videos 🤫 let's just say, i won't be bored if i ever break a leg
We have parkrun in aus 😊
"You might be thinking, Hannah - you need to crack on with transcribing" ... No I'm thinking "Hannah, rest yourself god damn it! Scroll on that phone. Kick your feet up. Give your brain a break." 😂
Having had vaginsmus , the best time for me was in the shower as the door was locked (no other places had a lock and so felt anxious of a family member walking in) and i was relaxed . Ovbs if you start to insert things need lots and lots of lube (shout ou5 to ky jelly) as in the shower it washes away natural lube. Good luck:)
Where do you get the one line a day diaries from? 😄
I’ve always been given them as gifts but just search “one line a day”
Waterstones definitely sell them
hi
I feel like hiring out the transcribing to a professional transcriber would be far more efficient and cheaper in terms of your hourly rate. 😂
it feels way to private!
@@morehannah Fair! They do lots of confidential documents though, medical and national security. You can probably find someone that makes you comfortable. But it’s your time!
If it helps Hannah my watch later is about 1000 😭😭😭
💖

Is there not an app that is a 5 year diary on your phone instead of on paper? Surely that must be a thing
The 17th of February! You missed the day my son was born, how dare you lol 😆🤣
Could you imagine living in the TV series *Revolution* with NO ELECTRICITY.. I feel you'd lose your s**t and go mad.. lol
I figured out why you keep moving around like that, you're dizzy from the world revolving around you
Omg 😂 imagine commenting this. Hope you feel better soon x
