- We both take a hike up to the place where it all started, back to the location of our first ever TH-cam video - Llyn Cwm Llwch in the Brecon Beacons, we start our ascent from the Storey Arms side of the Central Beacons and head towards Corn Du before turning left towards the Tommy Jones memorial and then heading down towards the lake.

Lads me and my mate should had watched this before we decided to do our first wild camp. We went up to the top turned right and pitched up there! Oh my days woke up with 31 mph winds, rain and heavy mist. This is our next place we will try. Thank you. (Not sure you’ll read this as it’s 2 years after you uploaded). 😀

That was my first wild camp also, about 35 years ago. I enjoyed this video. I did this route up Pen y Fan a couple of weeks ago and it was really busy, but still lovely.

Up...down...up 😂 thats's part of the Fan Dance route I I think 🤔 Anyway, your first ever wild camp was where I did my second ever wild camp, about ten yards away from where you were pitched. I've also camped twice next to the stream at the Nant carpark/field and both times the farmer has turned up and asked for a fiver...the get Haha!! I don't know about you but Snowdonia might be bigger, steeper, better whatever but the Brecon Beacon's is unique and our local natural wonder/playground and certainly where my heart will always be and I dare say yours too. Well it was great watching you on you're nostalgic adventure and there's always something you've got that I want and this time its that mash.... yum 😋 must try that as I'm fed up Wayfarer meals 🙄 Looking forward to you're next adventure fella's and love the welsh hat , nice touch, sorted, ATB Mark 😉👍🏻

Awesome video boyos! Your food looked real tasty, i've tried that cheesy mash before and it's great, far better than that smash crap! I think Hilleberg tents are a bit overkill for UK weather but saying that if I was given one i'd use it, I cant justify spending that amount of money on one though. This is mad to watch, I just did my first ever wild camp at that lake on Monday after watching one of your old videos. It was windy and raining walking up there but the wind died down once I walked down to the lake but come about 11 o clock at night the wind was howling and it didn't stop raining all night but it didn't stop me cooking and downing a bottle of wine. Hardly slept and the walk out in the morning was hard going due to the weather but none the less really enjoyed it. Cheers guys for the inspiration to go and do it from a fellow cardiff lad 👍👍

Looking at possibly buying a Fjällräven Abisko Lite 2 (or View2) as my first tent. Would this be a good choice or overkill please? Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated as I can't get an answer from Fjällräven about stockists and where I might see them.

Hi there, thanks for watching the video 👍 Fjallraven tents are excellent quality tents, I’m a firm believer in buying once and buying quality and if you think camping is not for you, you wouldn’t have a problem re selling a Fjallraven tent. I don’t know much about the view 2 tent but the tent I have is a great 2 person tent 4 season tent and pretty lightweight, the only disadvantage with the tent is it is quite low and if you are taller than say 5 foot 8 you will not be able to sit up in it, but still a great 2 person backpacking tent. Hope this helps, but if you have anymore questions I’ll gladly answer them ATB Simon
