    I lucky was a big fan of the GBA as a kid and own a lot of the expensive games that are out there today. I would never sell them though as I still enjoy playing through some of those games on original hardware.

    One of the things that annoys me with Pokemon games specifically in the price department is they where some of the best selling games for the systems. GBA games in general are getting a bit weird price wise as some rare games have actually dropped in price or stayed consistent meanwhile other more common titles have shot through the roof. There's a reason why so many people have switched over to just emulating even if they used to collect, if they're not doing that they're buying flash carts it seems like.

    • @shadow105720
      @shadow105720 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically everybody wants the pokemon games and a lot of people who have them don't sell them. They either sold them 15 years ago or are going to keep them forever. So the ones that are being sold can be a higher price. Plus listing online you can just set as high a price as possible and wait until some idiot buys it with really no extra work.

    For the cardboard boxes, I miss having them but oftentimes they were flattened/destroyed. GBA, N64, SNES, and NES. I have very few boxes remaining.

    I sold my copy of emerald to a collector for £50. I'd rather see a collector enjoy it than it sit in my desk. I emulate all the old gba games on modern handhelds and the emulation is so good and I use the speedup features for grinding so I'd rather play them that way.

    Its wild for me to think about the prices now-a-days. I remember in like 2012 or 2013 I went to a comic con and checked out the old retro games booths. Met a seller, decent guy Mikey, he had Fusion in the box complete for 40$ in a plastic protective case (used but box is in quality condition), Emerald (same thing except 60$), and Metroid NES GBA (same, for 40$). Why Fusion and the NES Metroid were the same price in box complete confused me. Mikey let me haggle down on the NES Metroid to 20$ as long as I buy the other 2 games at full price. In turn, spent 120$ (basically all I had to spend that day) in 2012/2013 money for all 3 complete in box with protective cases. I still have them all, still protected. I look back now and I have come to realize what an absolute steal I got from Mikey. Went the years after and I would always go to my guy first. Sadly he hasn't been around in like 6 years. I hope he's doing alright... But still THANKS FOR THE GAMES SUCKA! HAHA!

    A Dremel to remove the plastic bar from the DS case? Tedious indeed my friend. Try using the same blade you're using to cut your marker lines by keeping the blade flat against the case and running it along the bottom of that plastic bar. You might not even have to cut through it all the way but just enough where you could essentially rock it back and forth gently until it breaks off. And if your cut line along the bottom was straight (which it should be if you were applying a slight downward pressure) the break will be very clean.

    • @PhobiaSoft
      @PhobiaSoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tried that, the bar is way too thick to cut with a knife or fold over. The best you could do would be to find some kind of flat clippers and cut it to the base, but either way you're going to end up with a bright white line in your case because of the type of plastic. Its going to be down to personal preference if something like that bothers you of course, so feel free to experiment!

    • @boostAWD
      @boostAWD 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried doing what I suggested and ended up with a bright white line exactly like you said 🙁 well, keep up the good Dremel work!

    The rough plastic behind the manuals is pretty likely to scar them up, so I would recommend smoothing out the area you trimmed down with the dremel.

    • @PhobiaSoft
      @PhobiaSoft  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It would be even more rough with a Dremel, that's why I used a soldering iron. Its not pretty, but at least its smooth. Of course the real solution is to buy proper cases for this.
