It will come no doubt. Once early access ends on Steam, it will most likely full release on PS5 and XSX also. More than likely, it will be crossplay between PC and console, which will benefit us all.

@mr.o9200 Sometime in 2024, maybe. STE still has a lot of work to be done before it is anywhere near acceptable to be released as a complete game. I play quite often, the potential to be great is massive, but there is still a ways to go yet.

They absolutely have to get those bugs that can fly into the game. A vertical threat will really shake things up, and I feel like they should make it to where you can shoot off the limbs of the soldier bugs. That was a big thing in the movie shooting off some limbs, and they still kept coming at you. It was awesome and would make it more intense if they put that into the game imo. Those are the two things I want added in the game. It would be nice if you could mount the giant beatle bugs and shoot a hole in the back and drop a grenade in and then jump off before it explodes, but that's dreamin' now.
First they need to add those giant beetle bugs into the game! I don't think they will, but that would be amazing

It didn’t though. It’s a sloppy missgandelrd junk pile that lost its way by switching the view from what it was to what it is. The first game will always be better and this is already mopping the floor with that pice of shit helldivers 2.

Fun with friends. They just need the updates to keep coming, Horde mode is awesome not a big fan of the hive 4 player mission. More weapons, bug types, perks will keep me playing.
I hope they bring in the Hopper Bugs.
7:48 hd2 is actually alot more faithful to the sst universe than this officially licensed media
I'd love to see a "War" game mode. 30 or 40 players pushing through a massive map, tonnes of bugs to kill, little side objectives and main objectives (capture points), add some vehicles, ground and air. Could be really fun.

It’s pretty much the exact same idea as the clear contagion mode but with way too many particle effects
It currently doesn't even have close to the depth of DRG, it's got a looooong way to go yet

Obviously a good idea though. I was concerned about the longevity of this game with the heavy requirement 16 people for a match with split across game modes and difficulties. I think going forward, all game mods are going to need to be smaller than the main one unless the game takes off when it leaves early access.

My friends and I on Xbox, fans of the films, are eagerly awaiting release. In settings can we remove the red bug outlines, and outlines around Allie’s/interactive items? I’m not a fan of those features, feels like cheating and breaks immersion.
I wondered the same thing but I’m guessing they’ll leave it in for the sake of player retention and accessibility.
This game took way too long for someone to make. All the way back to them Sven Coop maps. Just happy its here.
Of helldivers didn't exist, or launch this quarter, it would've had a lot more players, probably
Glad to hear they're still putting good effort into it. Somewhat disappointed the gunplay still looks really flat; I'm used to Darktide where there's just _incredible_ depth to the melee/dodge systems, and STE was noticeably worse in that regard. (Also disappointed to hear the base building mode is still really easy. That's another thing DT gets right: providing a good breadth of difficulty options.)
Its in early access, so the amount of players might be a little low. There is only so much you can do, an grinding all the way to 100 is a chore anyway with no other special unlocks. Its good right now to just pick it up for an hour or two then drop it, then pick it up again. But when it gets fully featured and released, thats when we need to see how well it will do.
They need more maps etc for players to come back
I dislike the helmets and how fast Troopers can sprint out of danger. There are no death animations either and barely any gore.

The game I spent 3 hours waiting to get in, didn't. Tried again the next day to get in after 2 hours and the game crashed? Then 2 hours the next day got it, it wouldn't match make and I had to play solo. Tried 3 hours the next day and didn't make it in.

HD2 fell off hard. It's boring now and it's not and never will actually be Starship Troopers. Just like the movie will never be as good as the book.

Just give this game Console release on Ps5/xbox and allow some crossplay,and have some more updates thru thinge like More Weapons and Grenade Types/more Environmental and Bug variety/add some special Power Armor sets/ and actual Weapon Customization like Fast mags/Drum Mags/bullet Types to drop down like Acid or Explosive and more Grenade Types like Freeze grenades and even A Siren Type Grenade that Draws all bugs towards it for a few seconds until it explodes.

This game as would any game benefit greatly from a solo campaign and a console release…for me personally i tend to shy away from games that dont have solo campaigns but if its replayable enough online i might just get it anyway…

I play on normal waves in this game I know this was two months ago and they probably fixed the difficulty problem but in waves I never beat wave 10

They should add a feature to the bus. This feature is kidnapping a player and taking them to mother bug to search their brain for human information. This information can be where they are planting the bombs or weaknesses in human defense this will make the bugs attack more iften than usual. If the player manages to fallow the kidnap player to mother bug high ridk highbreward should come in to account. I know this game was not dedign this way anyway, but it'll be nice for the second game. You know... innovation and shit, something dev stopped do8ng because of the gambling trap system they replaced innovation with.

I feel bad because I feel like Helldivers does the bug threat thing better, and with all the same satire and patriotism...I'm hopeful for this as well and just hope they make it more challenging with more content over time. But it's hard to beat the music and feel of a good victory

The Starship Troopers mod for Squad was, and is OG! But like the greedy company it turned into, OWI saw an big revenue window and stole an idea from a FREE mod.... 👍*sarcastic*
People didn't play because of the huge problems that came with the update. Half the fps, or even lover sometimes, and some other bugs made it hard to play. I hope it is better now becausa I love the game.
