I love it when Katie has a major solo in a song. I just love her voice and her style! This is a wonderful video. Congratulations Blake, Katie and to all of V8❤
Wow, thanks again, especially Katie, for the awesome solo lead and Blake for another masterpiece. As for the rest and all of you, in fact, there aren't enough superlatives.
My introduction to this song was the barbershop arrangement sung by the quartet, Acoustix. This arrangement is epochs beyond Acoustix! I hear influence of the great chorales of the 1960s in there (e.g. Johnny Mann Singers, Norman Luboff Choir, and the Will Bronson Singers).
It was so amazing to watch you guys perform this one in Ludwigsburg on top of the hill ❤️❤️❤️ (and luckily without any lighting strikes) Not all arrangements turn the original into something better and I oftentimes just prefer the original. But Blake adds something special to every piece he touches. Well done! Altos are rarely given a chance to shine in ensembles, so I appreciate that about this piece. Go Altos!❤
I have always loved this song which has been sung by some real female icons...Aretha, Nancy and Sarah...but this version tops the lot IMHO Super harmonies and a stunning lead by Katie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We saw you last August at the Conrad, La Jolla, at that time the 2nd soprano was MaryRuth Miller. You have a different 2nd soprano here. No matter they are both wonderful. Not that I do not miss Molly, as I missed Eleanor before her. We'll see you again next February, when you come to Vancouver BC for the first time!
A beautiful sound and a stunning video. Second soprano seems to have become something of a hot potato role - the website still says it's Molly. Who is the current incumbent, please?
Interesting words to that song, but doesn’t love try to make us better than we really are. I guess when it runs out of gas it runs out of gas and all the effort of pretending just doesn't seem worth it.
A rare feature for Katie. Wow, what a voice !
I love it when Katie has a major solo in a song. I just love her voice and her style! This is a wonderful video. Congratulations Blake, Katie and to all of V8❤
I love the way she says "I'm afraid".
Love love love Katie’s voice! Lovely arrangement by Blake too. Great work, as per usual V8.
3:52 that Gmaj7, F#min11, F13/#11 ending on a E6/9 chord with a rubbing #4 was so smooth
What treat! Katie’s great solo and an amazing arrangement from Blake. Thanks!!
Beautiful rendition! SO nice to have Katie Jeffries-Harris "out front" on this tune...
Wow, thanks again, especially Katie, for the awesome solo lead and Blake for another masterpiece. As for the rest and all of you, in fact, there aren't enough superlatives.
Love to hear Katie on a solo! And a little vibrato too!
What a lush masterpiece. Love it! Well done Blake and Katie.
What a sad song. The arrangement is stunning. Katie's solo is moving. Beautifully sung song
Voces8 is a blessing to the world, thank you very much!

Absolutely stunning as usual. Katie's voice is smooth and rich, the harmonies are scrumptious. Goose bumps here ...
What a pleasure to see and hear this. Thank you all very much. 🌺🌺🌺
Perfect voice for that solo, gorgeous arrangement, beautiful setting--total knockout!!
Mercifully not on an incoming high tide 😉
Gorgeous Katie. Love your sense of ensemble everyone. Beautifully balanced.
Bravi tutti...assieme divino con armonie difficili quanto precise e sensazionali..meravigliosi..

Wonderful arrangement Blake, and great rendition all. Katie, you need your own night club with that stellar voice! LOL
Oh WOW, Katie! Beautiful arrangement, Blake! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It never ceases to amaze me, the variety of their voices, yet they can blend them so well.
Really, I have no words to describe my feelings after seeing and hearing this video.
Unbelievable, what a voice of Katy. And what an arrangement.
Wonderfully done. Always enjoy hearing Katie front and center. Fantastic arrangement
Beautiful to kneel down
Felt like hearing that Take6 album for the first time again
Great job
Sigh…just lovely. And fun to see you in a casual setting.
The harmonies almost makes it more interpretable as a goodbye to the world song. maybe a funeral song even. love it.
Fallin' in love with Katie! A wondeful voices.
Wonderful piece, the best voices, I know.
More such solos! Hope to See and hear you all soon!
They just get better. This reminds me so much of Manhattan Transfer
Lovely Katie!
Fabulous job Katie!
Wow wow wow! And that little subtle upward bend on the very last note! Pure genius.
Katie is totally awesome!

VOCES8 shows in this they are not only singers of classical music. They can also swing!
8 beautiful voices singing. ❤Beautiful
I have always loved this song which has been sung by some real female icons...Aretha, Nancy and Sarah...but this version tops the lot IMHO

California Dreamin'
So stylish the California way
oh Katie...!!!
❤
Beautiful voices. Reminds me of the Singers Unlimited.
Well, we hope the masquerade is over here on Election Day after nine years!
Damn, when were you in La Jolla? I fought traffic last year to get to your concert in Orange County. Kicking myself...
A beautiful sound and a stunning video. Second soprano seems to have become something of a hot potato role - the website still says it's Molly. Who is the current incumbent, please?
Currently we have three singers rotating the role, but we will be announcing our new full-time member soon. This video features Kori Miller
🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊 !!!
Wasn’t that lovely - something different. A beautiful solo and such harmonies.
Katie seems to be their break-up-song-expert (Send in the Clowns)
Magnificent performance. If you want to hear a wonderful jazz interpretation of this song, check out the magical Jimmy Scott's version(s) on youtube
Would have been better if recorded lives with the sounds of the waves and gulls in the background
Blake arrangement 🤝 Katie feature
katie! the woman you are...
first viewer, first like. beat that
Wieso? Dies ist kein olympischer Wettbewerb.
Sois geniales, gracias gracias gracias
@@maetzchenmusik yes, i know. just never got to a video 2 seconds after posting before and had to brag. David
@ Es gibt einen deutschen Schauspieler namens Axel Prahl, der fordert ja namentlich einen nachgerade dazu auf, mächtig anzugeben. Also: 👍
The cinematography is excellent, but the sound so very much not matching the visual setting is a bit jarring.
What's happened to Molly? Haven't seen her for ages... did she drop out?
Sadly Molly has left the group.

Many parts of the song sound like Jacob Collier.
