@@eehdhf Yeah, but there are people who teach kids that don't *sound* like they teach kids, y'know? It's the voice. Her voice has a sort of 'typical teacher of young kids' quality to it. Like, everybody's had a teacher with that 'teacher'-y voice at one point in their life.
My favourite thing about this series is seeing the fear that goes into trying anything new. As a generally unathletic, uncoordinated person- I always felt like I was just a clumsy scared idiot when it comes to trying anything new and it's made me not want to. Seeing awesome athletes (I saw these three in the skateboarding version of this) show fear, nerves, and missteps, I think, shows that even if you're an athlete... trying new stuff sucks and is scary. kudos to these ladies for their courage!
An episode with pole dancers please! I'd love to see something like body builders or people who practice calisthenics keeping up with pole dancers and vice versa
I’ve tried trapeze and it is not as easy as it’s looks!! For someone who is a bit scared of heights I felt really good that I actually went up the ladder and did it. It felt like you were going to fall when you have to reach out for the bar but the instructors were holding onto you at all times before you swing out. Last thing is that it hurts holding the bar when you’re swinging. The trapeze artists are amazing!! It was scary but really cool to do!! If any of the instructors at the trapeze school behind the Sydney Olympic pool are reading this THANK YOU!! You gave me confidence to do it!!
___ try to keep up with ___ continues to be one of the best series on TH-cam! Love the diversity of the athletes and the types of sports showcased! So so cool
I used to do gymnastics and wow is this bringing back a lot of memories, the way that I got through a lot of it was thinking of the physics behind it and visualizing what the momentum would do, which would help me in not overdoing jumps
When I went to the Sydney trapeze school behind the Olympic pool we had a smaller platform and I get it when she said about it moving it. It was scary!! But so cool!! The knee hang is much harder than they make it look. Only 2 people in the group I was with were able to do it.
did trapeze for a few years but never flying trapeze (more like what they did in the beginning to get the basics down) but watching this video made me miss it so bad and at the same time wanting to try flying trapeze
as someone who is scared of heights and absolutely terrified and disoriented when upside down, this is my perfect nightmare 😂 super cool to watch though!
The backflip is surprisingly easy once you've have a few goes on the trapeze. I unintentionally did a backflip once because you're naturally going to go backwards
I'd love to learn trapeze, I'm terrified of heights which is a huge obstacle but I think I would try if I could, probably would have 1 or more panic attacks during every class lol but it calls me so bad, that I could try at least 3 or 4 lessons :)
it's pretty cool that most of the scateboarders tried to land on their feet when they dropped that first time, like if they were about to hit the ground/on their board
This camp I used to go to as a teen had a trapeze. It was SOOO terrifying but I also signed up for it every day 😂 So despite the scary aspects of it, its was super fun
Aw I love this. I learned trapeze when I was like 4yo and then didnt do it again until my 20s so I totally feel their nerves watching this but its so fun!!!
I’m terrified to hang by my knees because once when I was younger, I fell on my neck while doing that at school and it hurt REALLY bad. Don’t know if I would trust myself to do that.
Ok let me ask the instructor with the red shirt, were you one of the competitors on "The Floor is Lava"? I could swear you were one of the competitors who went on the show.
I used to do gymnastics for almost 10 years so I feel like I’m pretty used to flipping and moving my body while in the air and swinging (albeit on a stationary bar), and now I just really want to try this because it looks so fun and challenging and I think I would have such a great time I also have been doing aerial hoop for the past few months and there’s a few skills where you hang by your knees so when they were practicing that part in the video my muscles on the back of my legs activated partially on their own in preparation/encouragement of what they were doing in the video so that was really funny 😂
The point is for it to be two completely different groups of people with completely different skill sets although on occasion they do have groups with shared skills like the divers and cheerleaders
@@jaciw I thought the point was to have two groups with somewhat similar skill sets to see how one could stack up with the other. Otherwise they might as well just have average people doing this. Which would be more entertaining in my opinion.
I do aerial hoop and I find the knee hang difficult as is on a stationary hoop. Can't imagine doing it on a swinging trapeze. It requires very strong hamstrings.
"Worst case scenario I don't unhook my knees & my body just completely rips in half" hahaha I feel that
I-
Same
Literally my mind when I do anything
"I'm nervous about the jumping off part, the swinging part and the landing part".. basically everything.. she's really hilarious
I was thinking exactly this
And the “I didn’t really believe in physics, but now science is real”
Don't forget about the part where she might not let go of the bar and completely rips in half 😂 💕 ahaha
"I didn't really believe in physics. But now science is real"
💀
everything Eunice said was comedic GOLD.
@@Butterflier00 HAHAHA YES
@@Butterflier00 LMAO 😭
AJ sounds like she teaches kids. I can't explain it but it's there
Yea
She said she teaches kids

I think it was the “beautiful banana” lol she’s so sweet

AJ is the kind of teacher I always needed. So stern yet gentle. Leads with kindness love her
Hard agree! :)
An episode with pole dancers please! I'd love to see something like body builders or people who practice calisthenics keeping up with pole dancers and vice versa
I think they already did one with pole dancers x rock climbers
That would be hilarious
Yas!
If you're having a terrible day, just know you're a beautiful banana.😂
Ngl this made my day 😂😂😂😂
Sameeee 😂
Thanks for your wisdom
And I’m do feel like a Beautiful banana 😂😂😂
Thankyou 😂🤣
“I’m nervous about the jumping part, the swinging part, and the letting go part” love the honesty tbh
“You’re like a beautiful banana” made me smile so freaking hard, that was so cute
You should definitely do divers vs cheerleaders
dude they just did, you predicted it so well!
@@ichhabekeineahnung2462 wow I wasn’t expecting that lol
I was just about to comment this lol!!
@Josie Lee it is-
They actually did omg 😭😭

Aj honestly made my day injust live how excited and positive she was the entire time
I love the trapeze artist instructors!!! So pleasant!!!

"You can't land on your back if you're staring at the net screaming"
True dat
I haven't been involve din anything athletic my entire life but AJ's way of teaching honestly just made me crave learning trapeze

As a gymnast who’s favourite and best piece i bar. I really want to try this

I do to. I use to do gymnastics trampoline was my favorite but I was very good at bar.
@@Miss_GenGen well done glad to hear u enjoyed it 💓
Did you end up trying it?! I do pole and many ex-gymnasts rock at it too!

This group as instructors on their own sport are excellent! Very positive and supportive!
these videos make me feel like i can do anything, the athletes are so good at teaching
AMAZIIIIIING. I keep saying, "Woooooaaah!" And was laughing, terrified but excited for them HAHAHAHAHA
I felt their excitement - would love to try it myself!
AJ is such an amazing teacher, so patient too.
“i can’t even see it in my head. i’m just lost” is me.
I want to see trapeze artists and divers together!
that would be fun to watch, considering I;ve done diving and now I do trapeze.
Wowow such a thrilling episode!!! They did so well omg. Also “science is real” 😂
Now science is real xd
Amazing series!
"I didn't believe in physics, but now science is real." I'm dying lol
My dream is to go with yall on these amazing episodes and try all the different cool sports 😍
Awesome video! Everyone was great. As a pole dancer now I want to try Trapeze haha. Also- science is real! 🤣

this is so wild bc usually the sports are sorta similar

You might try lyra instead. It's similar but doesn't involve as much swinging and not as high.
it's pretty cool that most of the scateboarders tried to land on their feet when they dropped that first time, like if they were about to hit the ground/on their board
all the skater girls are so gorg

This was the most exhilarating vid in this series... I really felt the fear and excitement.
AJ sounds like the voice actor for all the women voices in Rhythm Heaven Fever and I feel like I would never miss her cues just because of that
AJ is so cuteeee!!!
i love the instructors they're so sweet
That is looks so hard, scary, and very fun.

Oh god did a workshop like this with some friends before, as a person with an extreme fear of heights, it was *nightmare fuel*
y'all should do skateboarders and park roller skaters
i’m in love with this series
AWW AJ IS SO CUTEE

I love the part when AJ said “DA BOOTIFULL BANENEY”
I wish I had body tension like the trapeze artists
Ok let me ask the instructor with the red shirt, were you one of the competitors on "The Floor is Lava"? I could swear you were one of the competitors who went on the show.
I did this on a school camp, pretty much exactly the same as this. It was amazing - still one of the best, scariest things I've ever done XD
"I didn't really believe in physics but now science is real" lol

The amount of panic attacks I would have if I did this is crazy💀
I'M GLAD THOSE GALS FINALLY PUT THEIR LONG HAIR IN PONYTAILS💯👍😉

This seems an odd pairing… I would have thought gymnast and trapeze would be better.
more interesting though
