I was scared to take drugs as a teen and young adult, seeing my mates zombified in the club instead of having a good time. You'd think I'd know better but I started dabbling in my late 20's-30s. I was single, had some extra cash, and thought 'Well I'm still young enough, let's do this before I get too old'. Fast forward a few years and my life was shattered. It happened slowly over time, I was influenced by younger people and my peers (not blaming anyone else). Thankfully I was finally mature enough to know I had a problem and got help. It took another few years to get back to 'normal'. Don't do drugs
I was a victim of DV, me and my little boy had to move and leave most of our belongings, when he was Released I was told that I can't know where he was living for his safety. Even though he knew where we were. It's a joke.
100% agree with you Mark re things like ketamine triggering other addictions. Thats why I battled so hard to get HRT for my chronic joint pain/frozen shoulder etc. I was on 4 different painkillers including morphine at one point (all with addiction warnings and scary side effects). I persuaded the GP to let me try HRT to see if it would mean I didn’t need the other stuff. 3 months in and all joint pain/frozen shoulder etc gone.
If you’ve ever had a general antithetic, you can’t pee! It’s that feeling, i’ve only done ket once and that peeing thing is horrible! Or not peeing should i say, and then you can’t sleep because you feel like you are going to wet yourself. Not fun.
