I was with you on every opinion until....Criston Cole. That man is the worst hypocrite I've seen in this series. He hates and judges Rhaenyra for having extramarital affairs and says she has corrupted Alicent and yet here he is doing the same. Where is the sense of honor and duty that made him feel he needed to marry whoever he was hooking up with and judge those who don't as impure? It'd be one thing if he changed his perspective as he matured but alas...he holds the same ideals in the day and skulks about at night. I only wish Lord Commander Cole will have his secret shame exposed, that he has forsaken his kingsguard oath to father no children.

Fair enough, although I wasn't insinuating that he was a completely changed man, only that he at least appeared to be less bitter and somewhat world-weary. 😇😁

Why did they kill the baby. I thought they were supposed to kill Aemond Im so confused? Did the assassins not know who to kill? And why did Helana give up one child instead of the other? Was the one not killed hier to the throne?

One of the assassins had asked Daemon what to do if they couldn't find Aemond, so it was heavily implied that Daemon had instructed them to kill whatever son they could get access to. As for which child Helaena gave up and why, she gave up the heir out of fear that the assassins could easily verify this for themselves and kill them all if they'd discovered she had lied.
