Matric Exams | Eastern Cape confident of 85% pass rate this year

The Eastern Cape Department of Education says the first day of the 2024 matric exams got off to a good start, with no delays or glitches reported in the province.
The Department says it is confident of an 85 % pass rate this year, which would be a significant improvement on last year's pass rate of 81,4%.
It also said it had put proper measures in place to assist learners in rural areas who may have transport challenges.

when you only need 30% its easy. Reality is at a 7x50% that 85% is 15%
